During Operation
Check the maximum feed pressure of the screen from the dimensional drawing appended to the instructions Do not use the screen at a temperature higher than notified while the order was being made When the operating temperature exceeds 65C (prEN563), even short-term surface contact may cause skin burn All original guards of the screen must be appropriately fastened while the screen is running - do not remove them during operation! All maintenance of the screen and its drive motor is forbidden during operation
- Check the tensioning after 48 hours use - Do not tension the belt over the recommended range

The sealing water valve must be opened before starting the drive motor of the screen!

All original guards of the screen must be appropriately fastened while the screen is running - do not remove them during operation!

Operation instructions – Before starting the screen
Inspection before operation Check belt tensioning, the direction of the motor rotation, foundation, foundation bolts and “V-belt pulley taperlocks” Check that the interior is clean and that no foreign objects have entered the screen Inspect the pipe supports Remove the screen cylinder before starting the screen for the first time (not always necessary, normally according to Andritz start-up supervisor instructions)
Instrumentation and alarms Always carry out a test run with water before productive operation - then the flow control instrumentation can be adjusted and the pressure instruments be checked. To prevent the screen from plugging one of the most important of the instruments is the pressure difference control alarm The seal water measuring rotameter is equipped with a flow guard which can be connected to the alarm center Feed stock consistency regulation takes place right after the supply tank by means of the consistency or dilution flow controllers
All maintenance of the screen and its drive motor is forbidden during operation, except:
lubrication of bearings adjusting sealing water flow and pressure de-aeration of the screen
Before maintenance, stop the drive motor and disconnect it from the electrical supply
Before opening the cover of the screen: make sure that the screen is de pressurized make sure that no liquid or stock can flow into the screen

Piping and Valve installation
General instructions for installation Pipes should be supported in such a way that the weight of the pipes is not taken by the screen In locating the supports, take care to ensure that the pipes do not cause stress to the screen The supports must allow for thermal expansion of the pipes If not, connections and screen body will be damaged!

Mounting of Equipment
the supplier of the screen is only responsible for the assembly of the screen prior to delivery during the mounting, the fastening of the washer installed at the end of the shaft of the electric motor must be taken into account!
