Graduation Ceremony English Speech Dear Students, Faculty, Families, and Friends,It is an honor to stand here today as we celebrate our achievements and look towards the future. As we gather together as graduates, we are reminded of the journey that brought us to this moment. For many of us, this journey started years ago with a dream. A dream to pursue an education, to gain knowledge and skills, and to make a difference in the world. We faced challenges along the way, but we never gave up. We studied hard, worked long hours, and persevered through both success and failure. Now, as we stand here today, we can say with confidence that our hard work has paid off. We have earned our diplomas, and we are ready to embark on the next chapter of our lives. But graduation is not just about the past and the present. It is also about the future. As we move forward, we will face new challenges and opportunities. We will encounter new people and cultures. And we will continue to learn and grow.So what does the future hold for us? It is impossible to say for certain, but I believe that we have the power to shape our own destiny. We have the power to choose our own path, to set our own goals, and to make our own mark on the world. As we do so, we should always remember the values that brought us here today. Values such as hard work, perseverance, and dedication. But also values such as kindness, compassion, and empathy. In closing, I would like to congratulate each and every one of us on our graduation. We have achieved something truly remarkable, and we should be proud of ourselves. But let us also remember that this is just the beginning. Let us continue to learn, to grow, and to make a positive impact on the world.Thank you.。

That I should return to the race and try to get elected and give back to the city that had given us so much. But by then, my campaign’s momentum was gone.I lost the race and I was absolutely devastated.Every question you can possibly image went through my head.Had the people of Atlanta forgotten me? Had they forgotten all the work that I had done? Did they lose faith in me? Were they disappointing [disappointed]?英语演讲稿3After three days of self-pity, my perspective changed.I realized there were more ways to serve my fellow citizens and my city than just being in elective office. But the lesson became crystal clear several roles into the future. And graduates, here’s the lesson:Failure’s not fatal. It’s feedback.Did you hear me? Put that in your phones.Failure is not fatal. It’s feedback.I wasn’t supposed to be the Mayor.Had I been the Mayor,I would not have been available to work as a senior officer at the Coca-Cola company where my maternal grandparents had worked for a combined 45 years - jobs that enabled my mother and her sister to be ‘first generation college graduates’.Nor would I perhaps have been on the radar to become a trustee here at Duke, alongside my good friend and fellow Dukie, NBA Commissioner Adam Silver.Ya’ll know who that is? That’s a bad boy.And had I not met Adam, I may never have been a candidate for the President of the WNBA, the Women’s National Basketball Association, somebody say amen, one of the most rewarding roles that I have ever undertaken.英语演讲稿4So, I’m not just asking you, I’m advising you to anticipate defeat, strongly advising it.Don’t be surprised when it comes your way.Acknowledge it.Engage with inquisitive abandon and leave indelible fingerprints wherever you may go.Search for environments that may give you grief but they may also help you to grow. Now, no one taught me the importance of that eXistential eXploration better than my parents. And it was my father who showed me that in fact, it is in discomfort that we find ourmost defining moments. My dad became a doctor because he knew the circumstances were not the same for everybody, that some people were not as fortunate as our family was.And as he put it, he wanted to eliminate “dis-ease.” Are you with me, graduates? “Dis-ease.”That’s eXactly how he said it to me.When I was a little girl, I would go on house calls with him.The patients all knew and loved him and I saw how much he prided himself on being a caretaker, someone who did his very best to reverse their compromised positions of his patients - to put their mind and bodies at ease. But there was one house call I remember in particular. It’s seared in the back of my brain as if it happened yesterday. His diabetic patient was having a hypoglycemic attack. He told me to get the orange juice.I did, and I watched him save a woman’s life that day.英语演讲稿5I’ve never been able to shake the haunting feeling of this specific house call because of the significance it would take on later in my own life - and it reminds me, of course, that even doctors can meet the same inevitable fate of becoming patients. When I tried to tend to the diabetes my father developed later in life, I thought of that woman’s shaking, pale face. And when I looked at his limbs - a double amputee, and recognized he was in renal failure, I thought of how he fought for a life, when she could not fight for her own.And I thought of how in his twilight years, he was eXperiencing the same discomfort and dis-ease he had so seamlessly kept at bay for everyone else. But even so, I knew we were lucky, my family. We could afford my father’s insulin. We could afford to do what it took to take care of him.。

大学英文毕业典礼演讲稿Dear fellow graduates, distinguished guests, faculty members, and friends and family,As I stand here today to address this esteemed audience, I am filled with a sense of pride, gratitude, and apprehension. It is a momentous occasion for all of us, the day we graduate from this prestigious university. Our years here have been a life-changing experience; an experience that taught us to think beyond ourselves, step out of our comfort zones, and strive for excellence in every aspect of our lives. Today, we stand on the cusp of a new chapter of our lives, armed with the education, skills, and friendships we have made here.I would like to take this opportunity to thank our parents, guardians, and family members who have supported us throughout this journey. We have an obligation to use our education and skills for the betterment of society, to address the pressing issues of our time, and to create a more just, equitable, and sustainable world. We must be active citizens, engaged in our communities, and committed to the common good.I urge you, my fellow graduates, to embrace the opportunities and challenges that lie ahead, to pursue your passions with zeal, and to never lose sight of your values and principles. After five years of hard work, the students here have successfully completed their primary school study. They are about to bid farewell to their golden childhood and enter a new journey. First of all, on behalf of all the teachers in the primary school, let me express my heartfelt congratulations to you.At this moment, looking at your innocent and happy smiling faces, my eyes seem to emerge every bit of your school. Five years, we walk hand in hand, the small classroom, sprinkled our laughter, wrote down the figure of our struggle, engraved our heroic oath. We get along day and night. We are teachers and students in class and friends after class. We have established a deep relationship between teachers and students. Looking back on the past five years, it seems that it happened yesterday, and every teacher will never forget: the first time you walked into the beautiful and tidy dormitory, lying on the comfortable cot, that excited look; When you first put on the red scarf under the bright national flag, you look solemn; After your own extracurricular learning, you can show your artistic talents on the stage; You use your diligence to repay the teachers fruitful results: in all kinds of competitions held throughout the country, you have achieved good results many times and won many praises for the school! In the past five years, in the fertile soil of Nanshanbilingual school primary school, with the care of school leaders and the careful cultivation of teachers, and with the active cooperation and strong support of parents, you have grown into a vigorous youth.School is not only the cradle of your growth, you are here to fly the ideal, sowing hope. But today, you are going to bid farewell to your alma mater. The teacher sincerely hopes that you can open up a new situation in the new semester and write your wonderful learning life with a never say die self-confidence! Bill Gates, the king of computer software, once said: "the secret of my success is not to do something, but to understand what I dont do..." so the teacher hopes that you can distinguish rightfromwrong, abide by the law, make good use of your words and deeds, and be an upright person. The reason why eagles fly high and fly freely in the blue sky is that they have a pair of hard wings that have been honed by storms, cold and heat. May you fly high bravely like eagles to welcome a brighter tomorrow and embrace the more dazzling sun. Finally, I hope you can use the green of youth to brew a rich golden autumn in the future!I wish you success in your studies and a bright future!毕业典礼演讲稿英语作文(精选篇2)There are many memorable things, I have had a particularly memorable things, that is my primary school graduation party. Although it is a party, but we are held during the day, may be called "white"."The day before the white", we are ready to do the work, prepared a cake, tea, sound...... There are many wonderful programs. The night before, I cant sleep a night, excitedly waiting for the arrival of"white".The second day, I went to school early. To the classroom, I saw the classroom four corners of asound and the walls are connected with lights, window adhesive beautiful balloon......When all the students came to the classroom, the teacher in charge announced the graduation party officially began. Some students take the curtains closed, lights are open, as in the balloon is more beautiful in the classroom, sound floated out of the soft songs. I drink a cup of milk tea, quietlywatching the students performances. Have a classmate in front of the blackboard, with white lightappeared in the students who, like in a concert. The classmates performance is very wonderful, suddenly the lights, "bang" sound. I dont know what was happening at the time, until you feel a littlepaper shredder body, I know just the students put pieces of fireworks."White" slowly is close to the end, the students sang Li Shutongs "farewell" "pavilion, the trail edgegrass, sky......" The song. Later, everyone is very sad, because some of the students in junior high school when they are not together, also after all, this is the last day in his alma mater.Primary school I is how naive, is a naive child. Junior high school I know at that time were sad. A classmate, a friendship. The primary school graduation let me forget.毕业典礼演讲稿英语作文(精选篇3)you all are leaving your alma mater now. i have no gift to present you all except a piece of advice.what i would like to advise is that "don’t give up your study." most of the courses you have taken are partly for your certificate. you had no choice but to take them. from now on, you may study on your own. i would advise you to work hard at some special field when you are still young and vigorous. your youth will be gone that will never come back to you again. when you are old, and when your energy are getting poorer, you will not be able to as you wish to. even though you have to study in order to make a living, studies will never live up to you. making a living without studying, you will be shifted out in three or five years. at this time when you hope to make it up, you will say it is too late. perhaps you will say, "after graduation and going into the society, we will meet with an urgentproblem, that is, to make a living. for this we have no time to study. even though we hope to study, we have no library nor labs, how can we study further?"i would like to say that all those who wait to have a library will not study further even though they have one and all these who wait to have a lab will not do experiments even though they have one.when you have a firm resolution and determination to solve a problem, you will naturally economize on food and clothing.as for time, i should say it’s not a problem. you may know that every day he could do only an hour work, not much more than that because darwin was ill for all his life. you must have read hisachievements. every day you spend an hour in reading 10 useful pages, then you will read more than 3650 pages every year. in 30 years you will have read 110,000 pages.my fellow students, reading 110,000 pages will make you a scholar. but it will take you an hour to read three kinds of small-sized newspapers and it will take you an hour and a half to play fourrounds of mahjian pieces. reading small-sized newspapers or playing mahjian pieces, or working hard to be a scholar? it’s up to you all. henrik ibsen said, "it is your greatest duty to make yourself out."studying is then as tool as casting. giving up studying will destroy yourself.i have to say goodbye to you all. your alma mater will open her eyes to see what you will be in 10 years. goodbye!毕业典礼演讲稿英语作文(精选篇4)In the past decade alone, we’ve seen historic hurricanes devastate islands across the Caribbean. We’ve seen ‘1,000-year floods’ hit the Midwestern and Southern United States multiple times in a decade. And we’ve seen record-breaking wildfires ravage California and record-breaking typhoons kill thousands in the Philippines. This is a true crisis. And if we fail to rise to the occasion, your generation, your children, and grandchildren will pay a terrible price. So scientists know there can be no delay in taking action – and many government and political leaders around the world are starting to understand that.Yet here in the United States, our federal government is seeking to become the only country in the world to withdrawfromthe Paris Climate Agreement – the only one. Not even North Korea is doing that. Those in Washington who deny the science of climate change are no more based in reality than those who believe the moon landing was faked. And while the moon landing conspiracy theorists are relegated to the paranoid corners of talk radio, climate skeptics occupy the highest positions of power in the United States government. Now, in the administration’s defense, climate change, they say, is only a theory – yeah, like gravity is only a theory.People can ignore gravity at their own risk, at least until they hit the ground. But when they ignore the climate crisis, they are not only putting themselves at risk, they are putting all humanity at risk.毕业典礼演讲稿英语作文(精选篇5)Dear teachers and studentshello everyone! The years are in a hurry, and the flowers are blooming and falling. In a twinkling of an eye, the words of six years of primary school students have passed like clouds. However, my heart is still very attached to my alma mater. After six years of primary school life, I can usher in a strange school gate. Here, many memories are clearly reflected in my mind. From the first day of the first grade, I came to this mysterious and strange campus. Day by day in the past, the blink of an eye to the second grade. Once, my friends and I were chasing each other on the playground. We were very happy. Without waiting to be happy, a sudden pain happened to me. There was a classmate who stretched out his foot, but at that time I was still completely immersed in the game. One of them didnt pay attention and was knocked down. But because of my confusion, half of my face fell out of blood, just like the face was destroyed. At that time, the players were stunned and dull for two seconds before they realized that I was wrestling. Some of my friends wipe my face with paper towel while walking, while others hold me, showing great concern and anxiety in their eyes. At that time, my tears have been spinning in my eyes, moving tears have been flowing down.I still remember that when I held the sports meeting, I chose two events, both of which were running, but I was just making trouble. I ran the 100 meter race first, and I came last. I was very discouraged, but the teacher came to comfort me and encouraged me all the time. One day later, it was my 200 meter run, and I was the last runner. The teacher not only didnt say that I was useless, but also encouraged me all the time, saying that you will get good results in the next race. I also want toget good grades very much. Im born without motor cells. No matter how I practice, I cant even get up. In sports, I may be a Dou that I cant help.Goodbye, dear alma mater, the past events in your arms are still fresh in my mind. They are the shining pearls in our memory warehouse; In your arms, we become sensible from ignorance; In your arms, we grow from childish to mature; In your arms, we have changed from timidity to bravery. Dear students, please remember that we are together bit by bit, day and night, let our friendship last forever.毕业典礼演讲稿英语作文(精选篇6)Instead of challenging Americans to believe in our ability to master the universe, as President Kennedy did, the current administration is pandering to the skeptics who, in the 1960s, looked at the space program and only saw short-term costs and long-term benefits.President Kennedy’s era earned the nickname, ‘The Greatest Generation’– not only because they persevered through the Great Depression and won the Second World War. They earned it because of determination to rise, to pioneer, to innovate, and to fulfill the promise of American freedom. They dreamed in moonshots. They reached for the stars. And they began to redeem – through the Civil Rights Movement – the failures of the past. They set the standard for leadership and service to our nation’s ideals. Now, your generation has the opportunity to join them in the history books. The challenge that lies before you – stopping climate change –is unlike any other ever faced by humankind. The stakes could not be higher. If left unchecked, the climate change crisis threatens to destroy oceanic life that feeds so many people on this planet. It threatens to breed war by spreading drought and hunger. It threatens to sink coastal communities, devastate farms and businesses, and spread disease.。

Graduation Ceremony SpeechDear graduates, distinguished guests, faculty members, parents, and friends, today is a day of celebration and reflection as we gather here for the graduation ceremony. This is a momentous occasion that marks the culmination of years of hard work, perseverance, and dedication. As we stand on the threshold of a new chapter in our lives, let us take this opportunity to look back on our journey with gratitude and look forward with hope and enthusiasm.Reflection on the PastFirst and foremost, I would like to congratulate each and every one of you on reaching this significant milestone.

In the next few weeks, you will encounter all sorts of moon-landing hoopla. So she wants to make sure that every one of you as well equipped with precisely engineered conversation deflectors. That way, when people start talking on and on about NASA and Houston and the great vision of President Kennedy, you can steer the conversation right back to MIT.If you listen carefully to our commencement speaker lecture, you’ll know how to answer what’s coming next because I’m going to give you one final lit tle prep quiz. I’ll read the question, and you fill in the blank. And please, make it loud. And to the parents and grandparents, texting them the answer is not allowed.Question one:In 1961, NASA realized that the moon landing required the invention of a computer-guidance system that was miniaturized, foolproof, and far more powerful than any the world had ever seen. So NASA did not call Harvard. NASA called –MIT.I know you would be good at this.Question two:The first person to walk on the moon was a man, but at MIT, among the very first programmers hired for the Apollo project was not a man but a –Woman.Yes, a woman. You got it. Her name is Margaret Hamilton. She played a key role in developing the software that made the moon landing possible. And by the way, Margaret Hamilton was also one ofthe first to argue that computer programming deserved as much respect as computer hardware. So she insisted on describing her work with a brand-new term, software engineering.OK, just one more.篇2:应届毕业典礼简洁三分钟英语演讲稿Question three:As you heard a moment ago, the second person to walk on the moon was Buzz Aldrin. Buzz was the first astronaut to have a doctoral degree, and he earned it from the school that has produced more astronauts than any nonmilitary institution. In fact, of the 12 humans who have walked on the moon, four graduated from that same institution, which is known by just three letters.MIT.You are great. I knew you could do it. “The beaver has landed!” Mrs. Reif, I believe they are ready. As you…as you prepare for liftoff, I’d like to use the Apollo story to reflect on a few larger lessons we hope you learned at MIT because the spirit of that magnificent human project speaks to this community’s deepest values and its highest aspirations. The first lesson is the power of interdisciplinary teams. We live in a culture that loves to single out heroes. We love to crown superstars. As graduates of MIT, however, I expect you’r e already skeptical of stories of scientific triumph that have only one hero. You know by now that if you want to do something big, like detect gravitational waves in outer space or decode the human genome, or tackle climate change, or finish an 8.01 pset before sunrise, you cannot do it without a team.As Margaret Hamilton herself would be quick to explain, by 1968, the MIT Instrumentation Laboratory had 600 people working on the moon-landing software. At its peak, the MIT hardware team was 400. And from Virginia to Texas, NASA engaged thousands more. In short, she was one star in a tremendous constellation of talent. And together – together – those stars created something impossible for any one of them to create alone.篇3:应届毕业典礼简洁三分钟英语演讲稿From your time at MIT, I trust all of you have experienced that feeling of learning from each other, respecting each other, and depending on each other. And I hope…I hope that this instinct for sharing the work and sharing the credit is something you never forget. The moon-landing story reflects many other values – to seek out bold ideas, to not be afraid of impossible assignments, and always to stay humble, especially when it comes to the laws of nature. The Apollo story also proves how much human beings can accomplish when we invest in research and we put our trust in science. But the final lesson I want to emphasize is not technical, and it could not be more important for our time.篇4:应届毕业典礼简洁三分钟英语演讲稿As you heard earlier, just over on that side of Killian Court, showing off their spectacular red jackets are more than 170 members of the class of 1969. Apollo 11, as you heard, landed on the moon a few weeks after their MIT graduation. A number of them went on to work in fields that were gr eatly…greatly accelerated by progress from Apollo 11. One of them is Irene Greif, the first woman to earn a PhD in computer science from MIT.But I believe our 1969 graduates might all agree on the most important wisdom we gained from Apollo: It was the sudden intense understanding of our shared humanity and of the preciousness and fragility of our blue planet.50 years later, those lessons feel more urgent than ever, and I believe that, as members of the great global family of MIT, we must do everything in our power to help make a better world. So it is in that spirit that I deliver my charge to you.I’m going to use a word that feels very comfortable at MIT, although it has taken on a troubling new meaning elsewhere. But I know that our graduates will know what I mean. After you depart for your new destinations, I want to ask you to hack the world until you make the world a little more like MIT –more daring and more passionate, more rigorous, inventive and ambitious, more humble, more respectful, more generous, more kind. And because the people of MIT also like to fix things that are broken, as you strive to hack the world, please try to heal the world, too.篇5:应届毕业典礼简洁三分钟英语演讲稿Our society is like a big complicated family in the midst of a terrible argument. I believe that one way…one way to make it better is to find ways to listen to each other, to understand our differences, and to work constantly to remind each other of our common humanity. I know you will find your own ways to help with this healing, too. This morning, we share with the world nearly 3,000 new graduates who are ready for this urgent and timeless problem set.You came to MIT with exceptional qualities of your own. And now, after years of focused and intense dedication, you leave us, equipped with a distinctive set of skills and steeped in this community’s deepest values – a commitment to excellence, integrity, meritocracy, boldness, humility, an open spirit of collaboration, a strong desire to make a positive impact, and a sense of responsibility to make the world a better place. So now, go out there. Join the world. Find your calling. Solve the unsolvable. Invent the future. Take the high road. Shoot for the moon. And you will continue to make your family, including your MIT family, proud.篇6:应届毕业典礼简洁三分钟英语演讲稿英语演讲稿1In the next few weeks, you will encounter all sorts of moon-landing hoopla. So she wants to make sure that every one of you as well equipped with precisely engineered conversation deflectors. That way, when people start talking on and on about NASA and Houston and the great vision of President Kennedy, you can steer the conversation right back to MIT.If you listen carefully to our commencement speaker lecture,y ou’ll know how to answer what’s coming next because I’m going to give you one final little prep quiz. And by the way, Margaret Hamilton was also one of the first to argue that computer programming deserved as much respect as computer hardware. So she insisted on describing her work with a brand-new term, software engineering.OK, just one more.英语演讲稿2Question three:As you heard a moment ago, the second person to walk on the moon was Buzz Aldrin. As you…as you prepare for liftoff, I’d like to use the Apollo story to reflect on a few larger lessons we hope you learned at MIT because the spirit of that magnificent human project speaks to thiscommunity’s deepest values and its highest aspirations. The first lesson is the power of interdisciplinary teams. We live in a culture that loves to single out heroes. We love to crown superstars. As graduates of MIT, however, I expect you’re already skeptical of stories of scientific triumph that have only one hero. And together – together – those stars created something impossible for any one of them to create alone.英语演讲稿3From your time at MIT, I trust all of you have experienced that feeling of learning from each other, respecting each other, and depending on each other. And I hope…I hope that this instinct for sharing the work and sharing the credit is something you never forget. The moon-landing story reflects many other values – to seek out bold ideas, to not be afraid of impossible assignments, and always to stay humble, especially when it comes to the laws of nature. And you will continue to make your family, including your MIT family, proud.篇7:应届毕业典礼简单三分钟英语演讲稿Thank you. Thank you.Good morning, Class of !Thank you, President Tessier-Lavigne, for that very generous introduction. I’ll do my best to earn it.Before I begin, I want to recognize everyone whose hard work made this celebration possible, including the groundskeepers, ushers, volunteers and crew. Thank you.I’m deeply honored and frankly a little astonished to be invited to join you for this most meaningful of occasions.Graduates, this is your day. But you didn’t get here alone.Family and friends, teachers, mentors, loved ones, and, of course, your parents, all worked together to make you possible and they shar e your joy today. Here on Father’s Day, let’s give the dads in particular a round of applause.Stanford is near to my heart, not least because I live just a mile and a half from here.Of course, if my accent hasn’t given it away, for the first pa rt of my life, I had to admire this place from a distance.I went to school on the other side of the country, at Auburn University, in the heart of landlocked Eastern Alabama.篇8:应届毕业典礼简单三分钟英语演讲稿In just the four years that you’ve been here at the Farm, things feel like they have taken a sharp turn.Crisis has tempered optimism. Consequences have challenged idealism. And reality has shaken blind faith. And yet we are all still drawn here. For good reason.Big dreams live here, as do the genius and passion to make them real. In an age of cynicism, this place still believes that the human capacity to solve problems is boundless. But so, it seems, is our potential to create them. That’s what I’m interested in talking about today. Because if I’ve learned one thing, it’s that technology doesn’t change who we are, it magnifies who we are, the good and the bad.Our problems – in technology, in politics, wherever – are humanproblems. From the Garden of Eden to today, it’s our humanity that got us into this mess, and it’s our humanity that’s going to have to get us out.First things first, here’s a plain fact.Silicon Valley is responsible for some of the most revolutionary inventions in modern history. From the first oscillator built in the Hewlett-Packard garage to the iPhones that I know you’re holding in your hands.Social media, shareable video, snaps and stories that connecthalf the people on Earth. They all trace their roots to Stanford’s backyard. But lately, it seems, this industry is becoming better known for a less noble innovation: the belief that you can claim credit without accepting responsibility.篇9:应届毕业典礼简单三分钟英语演讲稿We see it every day now, with every data breach, every privacy violation, every blind eye turned to hate speech. Fake news poisoning our national conversation. The false miracles in exchange for asingle drop of your blood. Too many seem to think that goodintentions excuse away harmful outcomes. But whether you like it or not, what you build and what you create define who you are.It feels a bit crazy that anyone should have to say this. But if you’ve built a chaos factory, you can’t dodge responsibility for the chaos. Taking responsibility means having the courage to think things through. And there are few areas where this is more important than privacy. If we accept as normal and unavoidable that everything in our lives can be aggregated, sold, or even leaked in the event of a hack, then we lose so much more than data.We lose the freedom to be human.篇10:应届毕业典礼简单三分钟英语演讲稿Think about what’s at stake. Everything you write, everything you say, every topic of curiosity, every stray thought, every impulsive purchase, every moment of frustration or weakness, every gripe or complaint, every secret shared in confidence. In a world without digital privacy, even if you have done nothing wrong other than think differently, you begin to censor yourself. Not entirely at first. Just a little, bit by bit. To risk less, to hope less, to imagine less, to dare less, to create less, to try less, to talk less, to think less. The chilling effect of digital surveillance is profound, and it touches everything. What a small, unimaginative world we would end up with. Not entirely at first. Just a little, bit by bit. Ironically, it’s the kind of environment that would have stopped Silicon Valley before it had even gotten started. We deserve better. You deserve better. If we believe that freedom means an environment where great ideas can take root, where they can grow and be nurtured without fear of irrational restrictions or burdens, then it’s our duty to change course, because your generation ought to have the same freedom to shape the future as the generation that came before.Graduates, at the very least, learn from these mistakes. If you want to take credit, first, learn to take responsibility.篇11:应届毕业典礼简单三分钟英语演讲稿You may not know this, but I was on the sailing team all four years. It wasn’t easy. Back then, the closest marina was a three-hour drive away. For practice, most of the time we had to wait for a heavy rainstorm to flood the football field. And tying knots is hard! Who knew?Yet somehow, against all odds, we managed to beat Stanford every time. We must have gotten lucky with the wind.Kidding aside, I know the real reason I’m here, and I don’t take it lightly.Stanford and Silicon Valley’s roots are woven together. We’re part of the same ecosystem. It was true when Steve stood on this stage 14 years ago, it’s true today, and, presumably, it’ll be true for a while longer still. The past few decades have lifted us together. But today, we gather at a moment that demands some reflection.Fueled by caffeine and code, optimism and idealism, conviction and creativity, generations of Stanford graduates (and dropouts) have used technology to remake our society. But I think you would agree that, lately, the results haven’t been neat or straightforward.篇12:应届毕业典礼三分钟英语演讲稿In the past decade alone, we’ve seen historic hurricanes devastate islands across the Caribbean. We’ve seen ‘1,000-year floods’ hit the Midwestern and Southern United States multiple times in a decade. And w e’ve seen record-breaking wildfires ravage California and record-breaking typhoons kill thousands in the Philippines. This is a true crisis. And if we fail to rise to the occasion, your generation, your children, and grandchildren will pay a terrible price. So scientists know there can be no delay in taking action –and many government and political leaders around the world are starting to understand that.Yet here in the United States, our federal government is seeking to become the only country in the world to withdraw from the Paris Climate Agreement – the only one. But when they ignore the climate crisis, they are not only putting themselves at risk, they are putting all humanity at risk.篇13:应届毕业典礼三分钟英语演讲稿The truth is, success is a process—you can ask anybody who’s been successful. I just passed on the lane up here here, successful restauranteur Danny Meyer, who’s sitting here with his family—Charles is graduating to day. Ask Danny or anybody who’s successful, you go to any one of his restaurants—Shake Shack, love it!—Union Square Cafe, Gramercy Tavern—you will be impressed by not only the food, but the radical hospital and service. Service is not just aboutwhen you’r e getting served. When I started my talk show, I was just so happy to be on television. I was so happy to interview members of the Ku Klux Klan.I thought I was interviewing them to show their vitriol to the world, and then I saw them using hand signals in the audience—and realized they were using me, and using my platform. Then we did a show where someone was embarrassed, and I was responsible for the embarrassment. We had somehow talked a man who was cheating on his wife to come on the show with the woman he was cheating with and, on live television, he told his wife that his girlfriend was pregnant. That happened on mywatch.Shortly after I said: I’m not gonna do that again. How can I use this show to not just be a show, but allow it to be a service to the viewer? That question of “How do we serve the viewer?” transformed the show. And because we asked that question every single day from 1989 forward—with the intention of only doing what was in service to the people who were watching—that is why now, no matter where I go in the world, people say “I watched your show, it changed my life.” People watched and were raised by that show. I did a good job of raising a lot of people, I must say. That happened because of an intention to be of service.篇14:应届毕业典礼三分钟英语演讲稿Instead of challenging Americans to believe in our ability to master the universe, as President Kennedy did, the current administration is pandering to the skeptics who, in the 1960s, looked at the space program and only saw short-term costs and long-term benefits.President Kennedy’s era earned the nickname, ‘The GreatestGeneration’ – not only because they persevered through the Great Depression and won the Second World War. The challenge that lies before you – stopping climate change – is unlike any other ever faced by humankind. The stakes could not be higher. If left unchecked, the climate change crisis threatens to destroy oceanic life that feeds so many people on this planet. It threatens to breed war by spreading drought and hunger. It threatens to sink coastal communities, devastate farms and businesses, and spread disease.篇15:应届毕业典礼三分钟英语演讲稿So today, I’m happy to announce that, with our foundation, I’m committing $500 million to the launch of a new national climate initiative, and I hope that you will all become part of it. We are calling it Beyond Carbon. The last one was Beyond Coal, this is Beyond Carbon because we have greater goals. Our goal is to move the U.S. towards a 100% cleaner energy economy as expeditiously as possible, and begin that process right now. We intend to succeed not by sacrificing things we need, but by investing in things we want: the more good jobs, cleaner air and water, cheaper power, more transportation options, and less congestedroads that we can get.篇16:应届毕业典礼三分钟英语演讲稿Now, some people say, we should leave it in God’s hands. But most religious leaders, I’m happy to say, disagree. After all, where in the Bible, or the Torah, or the Koran, or any other book about faith or philosophy, does it teach that we should do things that make floods and fires and plagues more severe? I must have missed that day in religion class.Today, most Americans in both parties accept that human activity is driving the climate crisis and they want government to take action. Over the past two months, there has been a healthy debate –mostly within the Democratic Party – over what those actions should be. And that’s great. In the years ahead, we need to build consensus around comprehensive and ambitious federal policies that the next Congress should pass. But everyone who is concerned about the climate crisis should also be able to agree on two realities. The first one is, given opposition in the Senate and White House, there is virtually no chance of passing such policies before . And the second reality is w e can’t wait to act. We can’t put this mission off any longer. Mother Nature does not wait on the election calendar – and neither can we.Our foundation, Bloomberg Philanthropies, have been working for years to rally cities, and states, and businesses to lead on this issue –and we’ve had real success. Just not enough.篇17:应届毕业典礼三分钟英语演讲稿To do it, we will defeat in the courts the EPA’s attempt to roll back regulations that reduce carbon pollution and protect our air andwater. But most of our battles will take place outside of Washington. We’re going to take the fight to the cities, and states – and directly to the people. And the fight will take place on four main fronts.First, we will push states and utilities to phase out every last U.S. coal-fired power plant by 2023 – just 11 years from now. Politicians keep making promises about climate change mitigation by the year 2023 –hypocritically, after they’re long gone and no one can hold them accountable. Meanwhile, the science keeps moving the possible inflection point of irreversible global warming closer and closer. We have to set goals for the near term – and we have to hold our elected officials accountable for meeting them.篇18:应届毕业典礼三分钟英语演讲稿I live in this space of radical love and gratitude. Truly, I live the most beautiful life that you can imagine. I sit around trying to imagine: Who can have a better life? Whatever you imagine my life to be like…it’s always ten times better than whatever you think! It’s true! It’s not b ecause I have wealth—although I love money, money’s fabulous, I love it—and that I get a lot of attention, which is also good...sometimes. It’s because I had appreciation for the small steps, the seeds that were planted, the maps of my lifethat unfolded because I was paying attention. You have to pay attention to your life, because it’s speaking to you all the time. That led me to a path made clear. So that is what I’m wishing for you today: Your own path made clear. I know there’s a lot of anxiety ab out what the future holds and how much money you’re gonna make, but your anxiety does not contribute one iota to your progress, I gotta tell you. Look at howmany times you were worried and upset—and now you’re here today. You made it. You’re going to be o kay.Take a deep breath with me right now and repeat this: Everything is always working out for me. That’s my mantra—make it yours. Everything is always working out for me. Because it is, and it has, and it will continue to be as you forge and discover your own path. But first: You do need a job. And may I say, it doesn't have to be your life’s mission, our your greatest passion, but a job that pays your rent and lets you move out of your parents house—because yes, they are tired of taking care of you, and they’re hoping this CC education will pay off! And it will in ways that you can’t imagine.篇19:应届毕业典礼三分钟英语演讲稿I realized this during the struggle of my life trying to build a network at the same time as running a show. I did not have the right leadership, and everything is about having the right people around you to support you. All of my mistakes were in the media—I can’t do anything privately. So when everything is about struggle-struggle, I had to say: What is this about? What is this here to show you? That is now my favorite question in crisis: What is this here to teach you or show you?Jack Canfield in Chicken Soup for the Soul says “The greatest wound we’ve all experienced is being rejected for being our authentic self. And then we try to be what we’re not to get approval, love, acceptance, money...but the real need for all of usis to reconnect with the essence of who we really are…we all go around hiding parts of ourselves.“ He said he was with a Buddhist teacher years ago who sai d, “Here’s the secret: If you were to meditate for 20 years, here’s where you’d finally get to: Just be。

英语毕业典礼演讲稿(优质3篇)

英语毕业典礼演讲稿(优质3篇)1.英语毕业典礼演讲稿第1篇Dear teachers, dear classmates:Hello everyone!Time flies. In the twinkling of an eye, three years have passed. We must say goodbye to our dear teacher, and we must say goodbye to our classmates. No campus corner has left our footprints. Wherever we go, whatever we see, we can evoke a string of memories.Thinking back three years ago, we came together with innocence and hope. We are energetic and enthusiastic, and we are full of vision and expectation for the future. In the past three years, we have been enjoying the intense and intense school life in the sweat and feeling the concern of the teacher. In the study, we are in the teachers inculcate teaching gradually sensible, in the teachers patient and meticulous teaching happy learning; in life, we are in the teachers care under the care of the healthy growth, in the teachers care to feel the warmth of the family. Thousands of words do not mean our friendship with teachers. We can not finish our lingering nostalgia for teachers. Three years of study and life, more than 1000 days and nights, a teacher and teacher to talk to the heart of the heart, there is a teachers enthusiastic guidance, by the school leadership of the teachings in the busy schedule. There are encouragement, criticism, communication and guidance, all of which are the most precious wealth in our hearts. The mid-term exam is, after all, the first most sacred test in our life, and its pressure can be imagined. You know, teacher, your affectionate gaze is our strongest dependence. I believe that all the sweat andideals of hard work will be transformed into a good news report. We know that it is the best reward for your long selfless dedication.Yes, we are full of confidence in this. Teacher, I feel your expectations, your eyes. It’s a plea sure to address you this afternoon and to offer a few reflections as I approach the end of my first year as president.I realize, however, that I’m literally the last thing standing between you and the speech that you’ve all actually come here to hear. 毕业典礼英语演讲稿(精选4篇)

毕业典礼英语演讲稿(精选4篇)毕业典礼英语演讲稿篇1i am honored to be with you today at your commencement from one of the finest universities in the world. i never graduated from college. truth be told, this is the closest i've ever gotten to a college graduation.today i want to tell you three stories from my life. that's it. no big deal. just three stories.the first story is about connecting the dots.i dropped out of reed college after the first 6 months, but then stayed around as a drop-in for another 18 months or so before i really quit. so why did i drop out?it started before i was born. my biological mother was a young, unwed college graduate student, and she decided to put me up for adoption. she felt very strongly that i should be adopted by college graduates, so everything was all set for me to be adopted at birth by a lawyer and his wife. except that when i popped out they decided at the last minute that they really wanted a girl. so my parents, who were on a waiting list, got a call in the middle of the night asking: "we have an unexpected baby boy; do you want him?" they said: "of course." my biological mother later found out that my mother had never graduated from college and that my father had never graduated from high school. she refused to sign the final adoption papers. she only relented a few months later when my parents promised that i would someday go to college.and 17 years later i did go to college. but i naively chose a college that was almost as expensive as stanford, and all of my working-class parents' savings were being spent on my college tuition. after six months, i couldn't see the value in it. i had no idea what i wanted to do with my life and no idea how college was going to help me figure it out. and here i was spending all of the money my parents had saved their entire life. so i decided to drop out and trust that it would all work out ok. it was pretty scary at the time, but looking back it was one of the best decisions i ever made. the minute i dropped out i could stop taking the required classes that didn't interest me, and begin dropping in on the ones that looked interesting.it wasn't all romantic. i didn't have a dorm room, so i slept on the floor in friends' rooms, i returned coke bottles for the 5 deposits to buy food with, and i would walk the 7 miles across town every sunday night to get one good meal a week at the hare krishna temple. i loved it. and much of what i stumbled into by following my curiosity and intuition turned out to be priceless later on. let me give you one example: reed college at that time offered perhaps the best calligraphy instruction in the country. throughout the campus every poster, every label on every drawer, was beautifully hand calligraphed. because i had dropped out and didn't have to take the normal classes, i decided to take a calligraphy class to learn how to do this. i learned about serif and san serif typefaces, about varying the amount of space between different letter combinations, about what makes great typography great. it was beautiful, historical, artistically subtle in a way that science can't capture, and i found it fascinating.none of this had even a hope of any practical application in my life. but ten years later, when we were designing the first macintosh computer, it all came back to me. and we designed it all into the mac. it was the first computer with beautiful typography. if i had never dropped in on that single course in college, the mac would have never had multiple typefaces or proportionally spaced fonts. and since windows just copied the mac, its likely that no personal computer would have them. if i had never dropped out, i would have never dropped in on this calligraphy class, and personal computers might not have the wonderful typography that they do. of course it was impossible to connect the dots looking forward when i was in college. but it was very, very clear looking backwards ten years later.again, you can't connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backwards. so you have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future. you have to trust in something - your gut, destiny, life, karma, whatever. this approach has never let me down, and it has made all the difference in my life.my second story is about love and loss.i was lucky – i found what i loved to do early in life. woz and i started apple in my parents garage when i was 20. we worked hard, and in 10 years apple had grown from just the two of us in a garage into a $2 billion company with over 4000 employees. we had just released our finest creation - the macintosh - a yearearlier, and i had just turned 30. and then i got fired. how can you get fired from a company you started?well, as apple grew we hired someone who i thought was very talented to run the company with me, and for the first year or so things went well. but then our visions of the future began to diverge and eventually we had a falling out. when we did, our board of directors sided with him. so at 30 i was out. and very publicly out. what had been the focus of my entire adult life was gone, and it was devastating.i really didn't know what to do for a few months. i felt that i had let the previous generation of entrepreneurs down - that i had dropped the baton as it was being passed to me. i met with david packard and bob noyce and tried to apologize for screwing up so badly. i was a very public failure, and i even thought about running away from the valley. but something slowly began to dawn on me – i still loved what i did. the turn of events at apple had not changed that one bit. i had been rejected, but i was still in love. and so i decided to start over.i didn't see it then, but it turned out that getting fired from apple was the best thing that could have ever happened to me. the heaviness of being successful was replaced by the lightness of being a beginner again, less sure about everything. it freed me to enter one of the most creative periods of my life.during the next five years, i started a company named next, another company named pixar, and fell in love with an amazing woman who would become my wife.pixar went on to create the worlds first computer animated feature film, toy story, and is now the most successful animation studio in the world. in a remarkable turn of events, apple bought next, i retuned to apple, and the technology we developed at next is at the heart of apple's current renaissance. and laurene and i have a wonderful family together.i'm pretty sure none of this would have happened if i hadn't been fired from apple. it was awful tasting medicine, but i guess the patient needed it.sometimes life hits you in the head with a brick. don't lose faith. i'm convinced that the only thing that kept me going was that i loved what i did.you've got to find what you love. and that is as true for your work as it is for your lovers. your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. and the only way to do great work is to love what you do. if you haven't found it yet, keep looking. don't settle. as with all matters of the heart, you'll know when you find it. and, like any great relationship, it just gets better and better as the years roll on. so keep looking until you find it. don't settle.my third story is about death.when i was 17, i read a quote that went something like: "if you live each day as if it was your last, someday you'll most certainly be right." it made an impression on me, and since then, for the past 33 years, i have looked in the mirror every morning and asked myself: "if today were the last day of。

毕业典礼上的英文演讲稿1Dear professors and dear friends of China Jiliang University, I’m honored to address you on behalf of all the graduations this year.I would like to thank my parents, classmates, and friends who helped us ,and encouraged and supported us as we worked towards to our graduate degrees.I also want to thank Jiliang’s faculty members who served as our instructors, mentor, and friends, relatives, like Prof.Yu, Prof.Gao, Mrs. Liang. Through their commitments, they have inspired us to achieve and guided us to our dream. On this stage, at my graduation ceremony, when I look back my four years at Jiliang, my mind is filled with memories. May be you will ask me: do you have special to share? Yes, I want to share few simple but critical suggestions with you and with for the coming juniors:First, be work hard and think smart.Secondly, believe things happened for a reason.Thirdly, just as Jobs said at the graduation ceremony in Stanford University, stay hungry, stay foolish.Today, we will graduate from China Jiliang University, but we will be with Jiliang forever. Let us think forward and work together to make the new history of China Jiliang University.Thank you.毕业典礼上的英文演讲稿2Unlike any other creature on this planet, humans can learn and understand, without having experienced. They can think themselves into other people’s minds, imagine themselves into other people’s places.Of course, this is a power, like my brand of fictional magic, that is morally neutral. One might use such an ability to manipulate, or control, just as much as to understand or sympathise. And many prefer not to exercise their imaginations at all. They choose to remain comfortably within the bounds of their own experience, never troubling to wonder how it would feel to have been born other than they are. They can refuse to hear screams or to peer inside cages; they can close their minds and hearts to any suffering that does not touch them personally; they can refuse to know.I might be tempted to envy people who can live that way, except that I do not think they have any fewer nightmares than I do. Choosing to live in narrow spaces can lead to a form of mental agoraphobia, and that brings its own terrors. I think the wilfully unimaginative see more monsters. They are often more afraid. What is more, those who choose not to empathize may enable real monsters. For without ever committing an act of outright evil ourselves, we collude with it, through our own apathy. One of the many things I learned at the end of that Classics corridor down which I ventured at the age of 18, in search of something I could not then define, was this, written by the Greekauthor Plutarch: What we achieve inwardly will change outer reality. That is an astonishing statement and yet proven a thousand times every day of our lives. It expresses, in part, our inescapable connection with the outside world, the fact that we touch other people’s lives simply by existing. But how much more are you, Harvard graduates of 2008, likely to touch other people’s lives? Your intelligence, your capacity for hard work, the education you have earned and received, give you unique status, and unique responsibilities. Even your nationality sets you apart. The great majority of you belong to the world’s only remaining superpower. The way you vote, the way you live, the way you protest, the pressure you bring to bear on your government, has an impact way beyond your borders. That is your privilege, and your burden. If you choose to use your status and influence to raise your voice on behalf of those who have no voice; if you choose to identify not only with the powerful, but with the powerless; if you retain the ability to imagine yourself into the lives of those who do not have your advantages, then it will not only be your proud families who celebrate your existence, but thousands and millions of people whose reality you have helped transform for the better. We do not need magic to change the world, we carry all the power we need inside ourselves already: we have the power to imagine better.I am nearly finished. I have one last hope for you, which is something that I already had at 21. The friends with whom I sat on graduation day have been my friends for life. They are my children’s godparents, the people to whom I’ve been able to turn in times of trouble, friends who have been kind enough notto sue me when I’ve used their names for Death Eaters. At our graduation we were bound by enormous affection, by our shared experience of a time that could never come again, and, of course, by the knowledge that we held certain photographic evidence that would be exceptionally valuable if any of us ran for Prime Minister. So today, I can wish you nothing better than similar friendships. And tomorrow, I hope that even if you remember not a single word of mine, you remember those of Seneca, another of those old Romans I met when I fled down the Classics corridor, in retreat from career ladders, in search of ancient wisdom:毕业典礼上的英文演讲稿3You must believe in yourself and in your work. When our first Batman movie broke all those box-office records, I received a phone call from that United Artists exec who, years before, had told me I was out of my mind. Now he said, “Michael, Im just calling to congratulate you on the success of Batman. I always said you were a visionary.” You see the poin t here —dont believe them when they tell you how bad you are or how terrible your ideas are, but also, dont believe them when they tell you how wonderful you are and how great your ideas are. Just believe in yourself and youll do just fine. And, oh yes, dont then forget to market yourself and your ideas. Use both sides of your brain. You must have a high threshold for frustration. Take it from the guy who was turned down by every studio in Hollywood. You must knock on doors until your knuckles bleed. Doors will slam in your face. You must pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and knock again. Its the only way to achieve your goals in life.毕业典礼上的英文演讲稿4Sheryl Sandberg told a graduating class of TsinghuaUniversity that great leaders want genuine enthusiasm, something she said her late husband, Dave Goldberg, always had.

Dream and ResponsibilityDear fellow graduates, teachers, and parents,Today, we are graduating from high school and entering a new chapter of our lives. This is not only an occasion for celebration but also a moment that demands reflection. As we embark on new journeys, we carry with us our dreams and aspirations, but we must also assume the responsibility that comes with our education.Throughout our high school years, we have learned not only academic knowledge but also essential social and emotional skills. We have gained a deeper understanding of the world and ourselves, and we have discovered our passions and talents. Now, as we move forward, we must recognize that our education is not merely for personal gain but also for the betterment of society. We live in a world that faces numerous challenges, such as climate change, inequality, and conflict. As educated individuals, we have a responsibility to contribute to solving these problems. We must use our skills and knowledge to create positive change in our communities and the world. We must also recognize our privilege and be advocates for those who are marginalized and disadvantaged. However, this responsibility should not diminish our dreams and aspirations. Our dreams give us direction and motivation, and they inspire us to make a difference. With our education and determination, we can pursue these dreams and make them areality while fulfilling our responsibility to society. In conclusion, as we graduate from high school, let us carry with us our dreams and the responsibility that comes with them. Let us use our education to make a positive impact on our world, and let us never forget the importance of empathy, compassion, and humility. Congratulations to the class of 2023, and I wish you all the best in your endeavors.2. Pursuing Dreams and Fulfilling ResponsibilitiesDear fellow graduates, faculty, and families,It is an honor to stand here today as we celebrate our high school graduation. We have been working toward this moment for many years, and today we finally reach our goal. As we look ahead to the future, I urge all of us to keep two things in mind: pursuing our dreams and fulfilling our responsibilities. Our dreams are what will drive us toward success in the years to come. They have been with us since childhood, and they have evolved as we have grown and learned more about ourselves and the world. Pursuing one's dreams can be tough, but it is crucial for happiness and fulfillment. Do not let anyone tell you that you cannot achieve your dreams. Be brave, work hard, and have faith in yourself. However, we must also recognize our responsibilities that come with our education. We have been blessed with the opportunity to receive an excellent education, which sets us apart from manyothers. This education is not merely for our own benefit but also for the betterment of society. Our responsibility is to use our knowledge and skills for the greater good. We must be aware of the problems that our world faces and strive to find solutions for them. It is essential to use our education to make a positive impact on society.Throughout our high school journey, we have learned many essential values that will help us to pursue our dreams while fulfilling our responsibilities. We have learned to be curious, open-minded, and independent. We have learned to be resilient, compassionate, and ethical. These values will be the tools that we can use to make a difference in our world. Finally, as we step into the next chapter of our lives, do not forget the support system that has brought us here today. Our parents, siblings, teachers, and friends have all played a vital role in our success. Let us take a moment to express our gratitude to them.In conclusion, pursuing dreams and fulfilling responsibilities must go hand in hand. Do not be afraid to chase after what you want, but be aware of the impact that you can have on society. Congratulations to the class of 2023, and I wish you all the best on your journey ahead.3. Dreams and Responsibilities: A Journey AheadDear fellow graduates, distinguished guests, and beloved teachers, Today is the day we have been waiting for since we started highschool. It is a milestone that marks the end of our academic journey, and the beginning of a new chapter in our lives. As we move forward, it is essential to remember the two guiding principles that have brought us here, dreams, and responsibilities. All of us hold dreams or goals that we want to achieve. Some of us dream of becoming scientists, technology experts, doctors, or even astronauts. Some dream of starting their own companies, traveling, or changing the world. Whatever our dreams may be, they are significant motivators that propel us forward. But, our dreams are not enough to shape our lives. As we take our next steps out of high school, we become part of a more extensive ecosystem that stretches beyond our individual lives. An ecosystem that requires us to take responsibility for what we have learned, the people we serve, and the effect we have on our world. We are part of a community that requires us to be responsible for the betterment of all without limiting what we aspire to become. Our next journey will not be without its hard times, but it is up to us to rise to the challenge. It is our responsibility to pursue our goals utilizing the lessons we have learned in the classrooms, the experiences we hold from interactions, and our individual will to contribute positively to the world around us. It is our duty to strive continuously and work tirelessly toward our aspirations while also raising awareness about pressing social issues and offering solutions. So, as we go into the next phase of our lives, I want to urge us toembrace both dreams and responsibilities simultaneously. To pursue our goals with a keen sense of responsibility, not only to ourselves but to the world at large. To use all that we hold in our minds and hearts, thanks to our parents, teachers, and fellow students, to not only grow personally but to also enable the society that we belong to grow economically, environmentally, socially and technologically. Finally, let me say that I am proud of each and every one of us here. You have achieved a remarkable feat. Congratulations on your graduation. I wish you nothing but success in your future endeavors. You are on your way to becoming the world's next movers and shakers, leading the way into the future with our valiant dreams and a healthy dose of responsibility. You got this!。

1You’re about to hear a fine student response at the end of today’s program. (I know that because I get a sneak peek at those remarks.) But I wish you could also have heard the two talks given at last December’s winter commencements.Jordan Cebulla told of being a poor student in high school here locally who almost abandoned any idea of higher education. But, told by a family friend that Lafayette is, quote, “a gritty town full of gritty people,” he gave Ivy T ech a try. And four years later, he is a Purdue alum. He told his classmates, “In the end, if we quit on ourselves, everyone else will quit on us, t oo.”In his response speech, Seon Shoopman confided that, out of sixteen schools he applied to, Purdue was the only one to admit him, provided he attend our summer boot camp. Three and a half years later, he, too, earned his Purdue degree, with honors, becoming the first in his family to graduate from college. Seon said that, more than any other motive, he wanted to do it for the mother who had pushed him all the way. “When I wanted to quit, she told me not to. When I wanted to leave school, she told me not to. She told me to fight, be strong, and make something of myself.”Some in today’s world think they have discovered something new in the concept of “grit.” A Harvard Business School article just last fall was titled “Organizational Grit,” and reported th at, quote, “High achievers have extraordinary stamina. ... When easier paths beckon, their commitment issteadfast. Grit predicts who will accomplish challenging goals.” So that’s why a Harvard MBA costs 200 grand.英语演讲稿2Maybe this is all revelatory at Harvard. But in our part of the country, it’s not news. The slogan of the Whiteland (Indiana) High School Class of 1930 was “Grit Wins.” It could be a slogan at Purdue every year. I’m tempted to call Roget’s Thesaurus and let them know the antonym of “snowflake” is “Boilermaker.”Just as physical strength is built through hard exercise, emotional fortitude is enhanced by adversity and conflict. Every great achievement requires a confrontation with stress, a conquest of fear. Our engineers know, there is no traction without friction. Wilbur Wright, father of the aviation world Purdue now leads, wrote, “No bird soars in a calm.” Your strength of intellect and character will give you opportunities to lead, but it will be your strength of purpose, your resilience, your grit that will enable you to lead successfully, and by your example, to give new heart and strength to those around you. There’s one sure way to minimize stress and difficulty in life: attempt nothing that’s bold, challenge nothing that’s wrong, risk nothing that’s dangerous. Those endeavors always bring disappointment, frustration, criticism, setbacks. But they also are the source of the achievements that make life fulfilling, and the even greater grit that will get you ready for the next challenge. From opposite ends of life’s continuum, and I offer you two closing examples of the qualities I hope you have built here at this institution. Both stories involve Purdue students even younger than you are today.英语演讲稿3Last December, we said goodbye to a great man. A great man, but a typical Boilermaker. In his 94 years, Fred Fehsenfeld built a series of businesses that employed and enriched thousands of people around Indiana and the world. A model for what we now call lifelong learning, he was always on top of the latest technology, always conceiving large new projects and looking far into a future he could not possibly live to see. And modest about his achievements every step of the way.He almost didn’t get the chance to do any of that. On his 18th birthday, in 1942, he left his freshman dorm room in Cary Hall and enlisted in the Army. He flew 86 missions over Europe with a storied unit in which almost half his fellow pilots were killed in action. In an oral history of his experiences, Fred told of his first close-air dogfight combat. He was low to the ground, with bullets everywhere, and death perhaps an instant away. The interviewer asked, “What were you thinking at a moment like that?” Fred answered, “I was thinking, I finally got a chance to make some G erman pay for yanking me out of Purdue University.” He survived the war, came back, still younger than most of you, to finish his M.E. degree and lead a life of epic accomplishment.英语演讲稿4God willing, none of you will face at any age the kind of dangers and fears that Fred and Tyler did. But they, and so many others like them, have left us all a legacy that provides perspective and proportion for those inevitable moments when the pressures and disappointments of life get us down.Don’t misunderstand this, but I wish for you many such tough moments. You can easily avoid them; just lead a safely inconsequential life: run no risks, confront no injustice, accept noroles of leadership. But that’s not the path we expect you to choose. You are about to become graduates of Purdue University, which, throughout its history, has supplied leaders to a world that needs them now as rarely before.Long after you leave us, your senior year will be remembered as the year of Tyler Trent. His is a story I need not recount; everyone here knows who he was, and how he faced a situation for which words like “adversity” and “stress” don’t come close. He impacted more people, and left deeper footprints, than most who will enjoy lives several times longer than his. We’ll never forget you, Tyler.英语演讲稿5Leaders with the academic preparation to solve mind-bending technological challenges. With the moral character to help society navigate times of blurringly fast change, in ways that are ethical, equitable, and humanistic. Most of all, with the inner strength to take on the burdens of high responsibility, and the heat, envy, and hostility that comes with them, and deliver the positive change that human progress requires. You showed the quality of grit before you arrived here. That’s why we admitted you. I hope that your days here, with a faculty that pushed and stretched you, and classmates like Jordan and Seon to inspire you, built your reserves of resilience.。

毕业典礼上的英文演讲稿(19篇)毕业典礼上的英文演讲稿(19篇)毕业典礼上的英文演讲稿篇1 Graduates of Yale University, I apologize if you have endured this type of prologue before, but I want you to do something for me. Please, take a ood look around you. Look at the classmate on your left. Look at the classmate on your right. Now, consider this: five years from now, 10 years from now, even 30 years from now, odds are the person on your left is going to be a loser. The person on your right, meanwhile, will also be a loser. And you, in the middle What can you expect Loser. Loserhood. Loser Cum Laude."In fact, as I look out before me today, I dont see a thousand hopes for a bright tomorrow. I dont see a thousand future leaders in a thousand industries. I see a thousand losers."Youre upset. Thats understandable. After all, how can I, Lawrence Larry Ellison, college dropout, have the audacity to spout such heresy to the graduating class of one of the nations most prestigious institutions Ill tell you why. Because I, Lawrence "Larry" Ellison, second richest man on the planet, am a college dropout, and you are not."Because Bill Gates, richest man on the planet -- for now, anyway -- is a college dropout, and you are not."Because Paul Allen, the third richest man on the planet, dropped out of college, and you did not."And for good measure, because Michael Dell, No. 9 on the list and moving up fast, is a college dropout, and you, yet again, are not."Hmm……youre very upset. Thats understandable. So let me stroke your egos for a moment by pointing out, quite sincerely, that yourdiplomas were not attained in vain. Most of you, I imagine, havespent four to five years here, and in many ways what youve learnedand endured will serve you well in the years ahead. Youve established good work habits. Youve established a network of people that willhelp you down the road. And youve established what will be lifelong relationships with the word therapy. All that of is good. For in truth, you will need that network. You will need those strong work habits. You will need that therapy."You will need them because you didnt drop out, and so you will never be among the richest people in the world. Oh sure, you may, perhaps, work your way up to No. 10 or No. 11, like Steve Ballmer. But then, I dont have to tell you who he really works for, do I Andfor the record, he dropped out of grad school. Bit of a late bloomer. "Finally, I realize that many of you, and hopefully by now most of you, are wondering, Is there anything I can do Is there any hope for me at all Actually, no. Its too late. Youve absorbed too much, think you know too much. Youre not 19 anymore. You have a built-in cap, and Im not referring to the mortar boards on your heads."Hmm... youre really very upset. Thats understandable. So perhaps this would be a good time to bring up the silver lining. Not for you, Class of 00. You are a write-off, so Ill let you slink off to your pathetic $200,000-a-year jobs, where your checks will be signed by former classmates who dropped out two years ago."Instead, I want to give hope to any underclassmen here today. I say to you, and I cant stress this enough: leave. Pack your thingsand your ideas and dont come back. Drop out. Start up."For I can tell you that a cap and gown will keep you down just as surely as these security guards dragging me off this stage arekeeping me down……"毕业典礼上的英文演讲稿篇2 You must believe in yourself and in your work. When our first Batman movie broke all those box-office records, I received a phone call from that United Artists exec who, years before, had told me I was out of my mind. Now he said, “Michael, Im just calling to congratulate you on the success of Batman. I always said you were a visionary.” You see the point here — dont believe them when they tell you how bad you are or howterrible your ideas are, but also, dont believe them when they tell you how wonderful you are and how great your ideas are. Its the only way to achieve your goals in life.毕业典礼上的英文演讲稿篇3 Sheryl Sandberg told a graduating class of Tsinghua University that great leaders want genuine enthusiasm, something she said her late husband, Dave Goldberg, always had.雪莉·桑德伯格鼓励清华大学毕业学子说,伟大的领袖需要“真正的激情”,而这一点她和她已故先生戴夫·哥德伯格(Dave Goldberg)一直怀有。

英文毕业典礼演讲稿
Sheryl Sandberg told a graduating class of Tsinghua University that great leaders want 'genuine enthusiasm', something she said her late husband, Dave Goldberg, always had.
雪莉·桑德伯格鼓励清华大学毕业学子说,伟大的领袖需要“真正的激情”,而这一点她和她已故先生戴夫·哥德伯格(Dave Goldberg)一直怀有。

'No one won more hearts than my beloved husband Dave- He raised the performance of everyone around
him,' she said during a commencement speech on Saturday in Beijing. 'He did it as CEO of SurveyMonkey, a great company he helped build, and he did it for me and our children.'

Goldberg and Sandberg, 45, were at a private resort in Punta Mita, Mexico, with their family when he fell off a treadmill and died from severe head trauma on May 1. He was just 47.
哥德伯格出事之时,他正与桑德伯格(45岁)以及他们的孩子在墨西哥蓬美达的私人度假胜地游玩。

This is believed to be Sandberg's first time publicly speaking about her husband since hisuntimely death.
这是她的丈夫英年早逝之后,桑德伯格首次在公众面前提起此事。

以下是其演讲部分重点摘要:
