教学目标
1. 知识目标:掌握运用本单元所学语言知识。

2. 能力目标:能用所学语言知识清楚地表述一个故事的情节。

3. 情感目标:根据所学内容,鼓励学生在小组合作中相互帮助、相互启发,挖掘出更多奇
思妙想。

教学重难点:运用所学语言知识写一个完整有趣的故事。

教学步骤:
I. Free talk.
1. Look at the pictures and talk about them one by one.
T: What can you see in this picture?
Picture 1: Two people are quarreling. Maybe they are quarreling about which TV program to watch because the girl has a remote control in her hand.
Picture 2: They are throwing something. Maybe they can’t agree with each other. So they begin to throw the remote control.
Picture 3: The remote control falls onto the girl’s foot. Maybe she will get very angry and throw it back to the boy. Or maybe she will be very happy because she can watch her favourite
TV program.
II. Writing.
1. Read the background and the outline of the story on P77 and complete their first half of the story.
2. Try to write an ending for it.
T: What will happen next?
*Maybe the boy will find the girl’s program is also very interesting. He begins to sit down and enjoy it with the girl.
*Maybe the boy will go out to play with his friends.
*Maybe their parents come back at that time and they have to go back to their rooms and do their homework.
T: Do you have your own endings? Talk about it in groups of four and try to write one for it. Maybe your ending is more interesting than mine.
3. Complete the writing plan on page 78 with the help of the story on page 77.

*Character list:

*Personalities of characters: Nancy and Victor disagree all the time.
*Favourite activities: watching TV
III. Write a new story.
1. Look at the following pictures and think about what is happening.
Picture one: Where are they?
Who is the teacher?
What is she saying? She says, “We’ll have an autumn outing next week.”
Picture two: Who is this girl?
What is she doing?
Picture three: It’s midnight. What’s she doing now?
What will happen next?
2. Writing:
T: I’ll give you the beginning of the story. You need to write your own plan and finish the story. You can discuss it with your partners first.
IV. Homework
Go on with your story if you haven’t finished it in class and invite some students to act out the story .。
