This shift happened last month during the Women's March.Tens of thousands of women filled the streets of major cities in the US and in countries all around the world to protest(抗议)against the disrespect to women. What was unusual about the protests is that a lot of people taing part were wearing pin hats, maing the streets appear lie a "sea of pin".Even though the hats were without any slogan(标语),their pin color is thought to have sent out a message that is louder than any words."We women have power and we're not going to sit down and shut up," Aileen Gildea, one of the protesters in the US,told The Boston Globe.
Now young people are changing their attitudes to pin. They are no longer trying to escape pin,but give new meanings to it instead.
"Women who came before us ...to be taen seriously they had to get away from the symbols used to mae women seem less capable.Younger women don't have that reaction. They're more interested in breaing and rebuild those symbols,"Audrey Gelman,a businesswoman in the US,told

Recently, people in US education have gotten etremely worried because a new report has shown that American students have a math problem.
The 2015 Program for International Student Assessment(评估)(PISA) shows math scores in the US getting lower and no improvement in science or reading.PISA tests 15-year-olds from different countries and regions in their math, science and reading sills.About 540,000 students from 72 countries and regions too part in the assessment in 2015.
US scores in reading and science were about the same as three years ago, leaving Americans near the middle of the bigger group. But the situation in math is much more worrying. The US average score was 470,be;ow the OECD(经合组织)test average of 490,meaning the US was No.40 among the 72 countries and areas. It was 12 points lower than in 2012 and 18 points lower than in 2009.So,what is going on with American students' math sills?
One reason may be that the US does not teach math in enough depth."Students are often good at answering the first part of a problem in the United States,"said Andreas Schleicher, director of education and sills at OECD."But as soon as students have to go deeper and answer the more
complicated part of a problem, they have difficulties."In comparison, many high-performing countries and regions in math teach a lot less but focus in much greater depth, especially when you loo at East Asia,Japan and Singapore, according to Schleicher.
Another reason may be the fact that many people in the US are unwilling to travel to foreign countries to learn better teaching practices."One of our biggest challenges in the US is that the teachers are not going out and seeing what high-performing countries do differently,"said Wendy opp,who started Teach for America,in a news program.
24.When it comes to the 2015 PISA results, people in US education are more concerned about .
A.the US average score
B.the differences from the previous PISA
C.American students' performance in math
D.American students' situation in science and reading sills
25.What can we learn from the passage?
A.American students are not interested in simple math problems.
B.American students are unwilling to go abroad for further study.
C.American math teachers envy high-performing countries better teaching sills.
D.American math teachers seldom teach students how to solve complicated problems.
26.What is the main purpose of the passage?
A.To inform people of American students' 2015 PISA results.
B.To analye the causes of American students' problems with math.
C.To stress the importance of learning math well to America students.
D.To give American math teachers some advice on how to teach math.

Floods are second only to fire as the most common of all natural disasters. They occur almost everywhere in the world, resulting in widespread damage and even death.Consequently, scientists have long tried to perfect their ability to predict floods. So far,the best that scientists can do is to recognie the potential for flooding in certain conditions. There are a number of conditions, from deep snow on the ground to human error, which cause flooding.
When deep snow melts it creates a large amount of water.Although deep snow alone rarely causes floods, when it occurs together with heavy rain and sudden warmer weather it can lead to
serious flooding. If there is a fast snow melt on top of froen or very wet ground, flooding is more liely to occur than when the ground is not froen.Froen ground or ground that is very wet cannot absorb the additional water created by the melting snow.Melting snow also contributes to high water levels in rivers and streams.
Rivers that are covered in ice can also lead to flooding. When ice begins to melt, the surface of the ice cracs and breas into large pieces. These pieces of ice move and float down the river,They can form a dam in the river, causing the water behind the dam to rise and flood the land upstream. If the dam breas suddenly, then the large amount of water held behind the dam can flood the areas downstream too.
Broen ice dams are not the only dam problems that can cause flooding. When a large human-made dam breas or fails to hold the water collected behind it,the results can be devastating.Dams contain such huge amounts of water behind them that when sudden breas occur, the great force of the water is lie a great tidal wave. The dam waters can travel tens of ilometres, cover the ground in metres of mud and litter, and drown and crush every thing and creature in their path.
Although scientists cannot always predict eactly when floods will occur, they do now a great deal about when floods are probably going to occur.Deep snow,ice-covered rivers, and wea dams are all strong conditions for potential flooding.
27.Which of the following shows the structure of the passage?
("P" stands for "Paragraph".)
28.Why does froen ground probably contribute to flooding when deep snow melts?
A.It is liely to form an ice dam.
B.It is too hard for water to run off.
C.It cannot tae in more water.
D.It maes the snow melt too quicly.
29.Which of the following words has the closest meaning to the underlined word "devastating" in Paragraph 4?
A.Positive.
B.Disappointing.
C.Impressive.
D.Damaging.
30.What is mainly taled about in the passage?

B.Where floods usually occur.
C.Why floods do huge damage.
D.How to prevent floods effectively.
