英语重点词汇want用法详解
1、want sth.
want是一个及物动词，后面可以直接跟名词，翻译为想要某物。

I want a bike for my birthday.
我过生日想要一辆自行车。

I'm getting a bike for my birthday.
我过生日想要一辆自行车。

Would you like a cup of coffee?
你想要一杯咖啡吗?
what do you want?

2、 Want sb to do sth. 想要或希望某人某事。

I want you to see me now.
我希望你现在就来看我。

Do you want me to post it for you?
要我给您寄出去吗?
Don’t you want someone to go along with you?
难道你不想有一个人和你一道去?

3、want sb doing sth. want也可以接现在分词的复合结构，但多用于否定句，表示不希望或不愿意某人做某事。

We don’t want you getting into trouble.
我们不想你遇到麻烦。

I don’t want women meddling in my affairs.
我不希望女人干预我的事。

4、want to do sth主语是人，表主动，某人想要做某事
I don't think I can win, but I want to do myself justice.

动名词主动形式表被动含义,（等同于被动形式的不定时式），需要...主语一般是物

warn用作动词，表示“警告”“告诫，提醒”等，注意以下句型和结构：
1. 用于 warn sb (not) to do sth, 表示“告诫某人（不）要做某事”。

如：

2. 用于 warn sb against doing sth, 表示“告诫某人不要做或提防某事”（常可与 warn sb not to do sth 互换）。

3. 用于“warn sb+that-从句”，表示“警告某人……”。

如：
He warned me (that) f was in danger. 他警告我处境危险。

I have warned him that it is not allowed. 我警告过他这是不允许的。

4. 用于“warn sb+介词(against, about, of，off) +名词”。

如：
He warned her against pickpockets. 他让她提防扒手。

I warned him about those stairs. 我警告过他要注意（留意）那些楼梯。

注意，warn习惯上不能后接双宾语，即不用于warn sb sth结构，可考虑改用warn sb of sth。

如：

误：We warned him the danger.

5. warn只用作动词，不用作名词，其相应的名词是 warning。
