Dear diary,
Today was so much fun! We started our new unit in English class and it's all about animals. I love animals, so I was super excited to learn all about them.
In class, we learned about different types of animals like mammals, amphibians, reptiles, birds, and fish. We also learned about their habitats, diets, and characteristics. I never knew there were so many cool facts about animals!
After class, my friends and I decided to do some research on our favorite animals. I chose to research about dolphins because they are so smart and friendly. I learned that dolphins are very social animals and they communicate with each other using clicks and whistles. They also have a special organ in their heads called a melon, which they use to focus their sonar abilities. How cool is that?
Later in the afternoon, we had a special guest speaker who brought in a few different animals for us to see up close. We got to pet a soft rabbit, hold a slithery snake, and even feed a colorful parrot. It was so much fun getting to interact with the animals and learn more about them in person.
Overall, today was a super interesting day learning all about animals. I can't wait to continue learning more about them in the next few weeks. I think I might even want to become a zoologist when I grow up!

Today was super fun at school! In our English class, we learned about the third unit in our sixth-grade book. It was all about animals and nature, and I love learning about animals!
