Rule #2: Don't share any private information like your name, age, address, phone number, school, etc. Bad people can use
those details to try and find you. The internet should be anonymous and you need to protect your privacy.
Rule #3: If someone is being mean, rude, or makes you uncomfortable, stop talking to them right away. You can block them and tell a trusted adult. No one should bully or harass you online.
Rule #4: Be very careful about sharing photos or videos, even with friends. Once those are out there, you can't control where they could end up or who might see them. Only share things you're okay with everyone seeing.

• Set reasonable time limits for chatting so you aren't ignoring your real-world priorities and responsibilities. Too much time spent staring at screens isn't healthy.
Having a good time chatting with friends online can be great! But we always have to balance it with being smart, cautious, and making good choices. The internet has incredible information and ways to connect with people, but there are dangerous parts too that we need to avoid.
I try to follow all of these tips myself. Sometimes my parents have to remind me, but I know how important it is. I don't want my private information or embarrassing pictures/messages floating around where everyone can see them. And I definitely
