Linear equdtions in one unknown
A expression that can be writen in the form of “ax+b=c” called a linear equation in one unknown.
Solving process:
• First step: put all the terms in X to the left hand side,all the other to the right hand side. • Second step:collecting the corresponding terms and divided by the coefficient of the left hand side term. • Third step:checking the answer.

The method of solving simultaneous linear equations in two unknowns: • By graphing • By substitution • B example: 2X+Y=7 X – Y=2
2X+Y=7 X – Y=2
• first: take the first equation,make y the sudject • Second: substitute the y in the second equation by( 7-2X ) • Third :put the X into the”Y=7-2X”get the value of Y • checking Y=7-2X X – ( 7-2X )=2 X=3 Y=7-2X=7- ( 2x3 ) =1
For example: 2X+5=6-3X

Elimination :
• For example: • 2X+Y=7 X – Y=2
