This unit helped us to expand our vocabulary related to daily activities and to improve our ability to express our daily routines in English. Here, I would like to share some thoughts on
this unit and also provide a brief overview of the key concepts we covered.
Firstly, in this unit, we learned about different time expressions such as "in the morning", "in the afternoon", "at night", "at the weekend", etc. These time expressions are essential for describing our daily routines and scheduling our activities. We also practiced using these time expressions in sentences to talk about our typical day. For example, "I usually get up at 7 o'clock in the morning" or "I have English class in the afternoon".
Secondly, we expanded our vocabulary related to daily activities. We learned new words and phrases such as "have breakfast", "brush my teeth", "take a shower", "do homework", "watch TV", etc. These words are essential for describing our daily routines and activities. By learning these words, we were able to express ourselves more fluently and accurately when talking about our daily life.
Moreover, we learned how to talk about our typical day using the simple present tense. We practiced using this tense to describe our daily routines and activities. For example, "I get up at 7 o'clock", "I have breakfast at 8 o'clock", "I go to school at 9
o'clock", etc. This helped us to form correct and meaningful sentences to express our daily routines.
In addition, we learned about adverbs of frequency such as "always", "usually", "often", "sometimes", "rarely", and "never". These adverbs are used to describe how often we do something in our daily life. We practiced using these adverbs in sentences to talk about our habits and routines. For example, "I always brush my teeth before going to bed" or "I usually do my homework in the afternoon".
