Step 1. Lead-in
Greeting.
T: Last class, we learned that Brian’s school’s basketball team is going to play a game, do you remember how would they raise money for the school?
S: To sell cookies.
T: What about Danny?
S: He will invent a new thing.
T: OK, let’s learn how they sell things.
Step2.New words:
Pocket, desk-cycle, tie, while, afford, cent.
Language use

Step6: Language points
1. cheap 便宜的,廉价的
反义词为expensive“昂贵的”
---Is this dress expensive? 这条裙子贵吗?
---No, it’s very cheap. 不,很便宜。
2. go over(从头至尾)检查;查看
Will you go over this passage to see if there is any mistakes?
你仔细检查一下这篇文章,看看是否有错误,好吗?
3. What is it for? 它是用来做什么的?常用来询问物品的用途。
Do you know what it is for?
你知道它是用来做什么的吗?
4. tie sth. To sth. 把某物(用线、绳等)绑到某物上
Tie the dog to the tree, or it will run away after you leave it.
把狗拴到树上,否则你离开后它就跑开了。
5. low价格低
price一般与high或low搭配,表示价格的高或低,而不与expensive或cheap搭配6. afford 买得起;
常与can, could, be able to连用,后接名词,代词或动词不定式。
I can’t afford (to buy) a new house. 我买不起新房子。
