Once upon a time, there lived a mother goat who had seven little baby goats. They were all so cute and playful, but they were also quite mischievous. One day, the mother goat had to go to the market, and she told her children to be very careful, as the big bad wolf might be around.
The little goats nodded eagerly, promising to be on their best behavior. But as soon as the mother goat left, they started playing and jumping all over the place. They forgot all about the big bad wolf and their promise to be careful.
Meanwhile, the big bad wolf was indeed lurking nearby. He had been eyeing the little goats for quite some time, and he saw an opportunity. He disguised himself as a kindly old woman and knocked on the door, hoping to trick the
little goats.
"Who's there?" asked the youngest and most cautious of
the goats.
"It's me, your dear grandmother," replied the wolf in a sweet voice. But the goats were not fooled. They recognized the voice of the wolf and quickly devised a plan.
The youngest goat shouted loudly, "Our mother has a soft, white throat, but you have a rough, hairy one. You are not our grandmother!" The wolf was furious but had to retreat, knowing he had been outsmarted by the clever
little goats.
The mother goat returned from the market and was relieved to see her children safe and sound. She hugged them tightly and told them how proud she was of.。
