为了对电大开放教育毕业生的质量有一个较为客观的评价，检查开放教育培养目标的实现程度，了解社会对电大现代远程开放教育的评价和人才培养的需求，进一步深化教学改革，新疆石河子广播电视大学于2004年8月－9月在本校开放教育本科英语、法学、会计学、金融学、计算机科学与技术五个本科专业，小学教育、计算机两个专科专业中按随机等距抽样的方法对120名2002－2004届毕业生及其所在单位进行了追踪问卷调查和访谈。

这次调查主要涉及毕业生对电大开放教育的课程设置、课程资源、教学组织形式、学习支持服务和教学效果的评价以及用人单位对毕业生思想品德、专业知识、业务能力和工作业绩等质量方面的评价和满意度问题。

追踪调查的数据统计及分析表明，石河子广播电视大学适应本地人才需求的实际情况，在积极开展基于网络环境下的远程开放教育试点方面取得了显著的成绩，毕业生的质量已经取得了社会的认可，为开放教育奠定了进一步可持续发展的基础。

我们建议，今后开放教育的教学过程应特别重视学生自主学习能力的提高，并通过大力加强实践性教学环节，培养学生运用所学知识分析问题和解决问题的能力，以适应基层用人单位对应用型人才的需要。
