第一步 Introduction (1 min)

（2）Recap the previous lesson:Ask the students to tell you about the last lesson.
第二步 Presentation (10 min)
（1）Divide the class into two groups and discuss the questions:

1.What do you think of the giant's garden?
2.Do you think it's possible to make an amazing garden like this?
（2）Brainstorming:Ask the students to think of any other ways to create an amazing garden.
（3）Discuss the main ideas in the story:
Main ideas:
1. The giant's garden is amazing.
2. The giant has a great imagination and it inspires him to create something new and fantastic.
3. The giant's garden is a symbol of his creativity and perseverance.
第三步 Practice (20 min)
（1）Read the text: Ask the students to read the text and answer the questions.

（2）Pair work: Ask the students to work in pairs and discuss the story.

本课时，我利用小组讨论，探究讨论，调查讨论，实战讨论等形式，让学生体验以及理解文章内容。

通过对学生的参与调查，让他们在自主学习、合作学习中体验英语的魅力。
