六、教学步骤
第一步 Introduction (1 min)
(1)Greeting:Greet the students with a warm welcome.
(2)Recap the previous lesson:Ask the students to tell you about the last lesson.
第二步 Presentation (10 min)
(1)Divide the class into two groups and discuss the questions:
Questions:
1.What do you think of the giant's garden?
2.Do you think it's possible to make an amazing garden like this?
(2)Brainstorming:Ask the students to think of any other ways to create an amazing garden.
(3)Discuss the main ideas in the story:
Main ideas:
1. The giant's garden is amazing.
2. The giant has a great imagination and it inspires him to create something new and fantastic.
3. The giant's garden is a symbol of his creativity and perseverance.
第三步 Practice (20 min)
(1)Read the text: Ask the students to read the text and answer the questions.
Questions:
1. What did the giant do to create his garden?
2. How did the giant's garden inspire others?
(2)Pair work: Ask the students to work in pairs and discuss the story.
Questions:
1. What do you think of the giant's garden?
2. How did the giant inspire others to create similar
gardens?
(3)Group work: Ask the students to work in groups and discuss the story.
Questions:
1. Do you think it's possible to create a similar garden in real life?
2. How can we build such a garden?
(4)Individual work: Ask the students to write a short story based on the content of the text.
第四步 Summary (2 min)
Summarize the main ideas discussed in the lesson.

本课时,我利用小组讨论,探究讨论,调查讨论,实战讨论等形式,让学生体验以及理解文章内容。
通过对学生的参与调查,让他们在自主学习、合作学习中体验英语的魅力。
