As a Chinese person, I always look forward to the Spring Festival, also known as Chinese New Year. It is the most important traditional festival in China and is celebrated by Chinese people all over the world. The Spring Festival usually falls in late January or early February, and the celebrations last for 15 days.

During the Spring Festival, there are many customs and traditions that we follow. For example, we clean our houses before the festival to sweep away any bad luck from the past year. We also decorate our homes with red lanterns and couplets to bring good luck and fortune. On New Year's Eve, families gather together for a big feast and watch the CCTV New Year's Gala. At midnight, we set off fireworks to welcome the new year.

Another important tradition during the Spring Festival

is giving red envelopes filled with money to children. This is a way to give blessings and good fortune to the younger generation. We also visit relatives and friends to exchange greetings and wish each other a happy new year.
