Life comes in a package. This package includes happiness and sadness, failure and success, hope and despair. Life is a learning process. Experiences in life teach us new lessons and make us a better person. With each passing day we learn to deal with various situations.
Love plays a main role in our life. Love makes you feel wanted. Without love a person could become cruel. In the early stage of our life, our parents are the ones who show us with love and care. They teach us about what is right and wrong, good and bad. But we don’t always care about it. It is only after marriage and having kids that a person understands others’ feelings.
Happiness can bring people a peaceful mind. No mind is happy without peace. Sadness is because of the death of a loved one or the failure. But all of these things will pass away.
Failure is the path to success. It helps us to touch the sky, teaches us to survive and shows us a specific way. Success brings in money, pride and self-respect.
Hope is what keeps life going. Parents always hope their children will do well. Hope makes us dream. Hope builds in patience. Life teaches us not to despair even in the darkest hour, because after every night there is a day.
Life teaches us not to regret over yesterday, for it has passed and is out of our control. Tomorrow is unknown, for it could either be bright or dark. So the only choice is to work hard today, so that we will enjoy a better tomorrow.

When people say that someone is sexy, they usually mean that person has good
looks and an attractive body type. However, 37-year-old Benedict
Cumberbatch proves that being sexy is more than just a superficial (表⾯的) thing.
Cumberbatch, best known for his role in the popular BBC drama Sherlock
Holmes(夏洛克·福尔摩斯), has been named the world’s sexiest film sta r. But he seems unpleasant with his own looks. “I think I’ve got a long face,” he
told The Independent. “I look a bit weird (古怪的).”However, for his fans, being sexy also means he has appealing (吸引⼈的) personal qualities.
Cumberbatch is well-educated and he is a talented actor. He grew up in London. His rich parents, who were both actors, sent him to study at £32,000-a-year Harrow School to become a lawyer. However, when he got there he began reading plays and acting. He clearly made a clever choice for his career. His different look has done him well as a super-smart detective. Although he played his serious roles, Cumberbatch himself has a great sense of humor.
Even if he is successful, Cumberbatch keeps himself modest. This is not the first year that he has won an award. But the actor has shown his down-to-earth views on these awards. In an interview with The Independent, he said: “I’ve got more goals to achieve. It’s not like I’ve completely conquered (征服) the whole thing. That’s a lifetime’s goal, not an overnight thing.”

When I was about 12, I had an enemy, a girl who liked to point out my shortcomings. Sometimes she said I was thin. Sometimes she said I was lazy. Sometimes she said I wasn’t a good student. Sometimes she said I talked too much, and so on. I tried to put up with her as long as I could. At last, I became very angry. I ran to my father with tears in my eyes.
He listened to me quietly, and then he asked, “Are the things she said true or not? Mary, didn’t you ever wonder what you’re really like? Go and make a list of everything she said and mark the points that are true. Pay no attention to the other things
she said.”
I did as he told me and to my surprise, I discovered that about half the things were true.
I brought the list back to my dad. He refused to take it. “That’s just for you,” he said. “You know better than anyone else the truth about yourself. When something said about you is true, you’ll find it will be helpful to you. Don’t shu t your ears. Listen to them all, but hear the truth and do what you think is right.”
Many years have passed. The situation often appears in my mind. In our life we often meet with some trouble and we often go to someone and ask for advice. For some advice you will treasure all your life!

Full moon nights always seem a little scary. Is there any reason for
this? A new study has found that full moons really can cause restless
nights.
To test the moon’s effects on humans, a research team in Switzerland
studied the sleep of 33 volunteers. In their sleep lab, there were no windows or any other way of telling whether the moon was full outside. The researchers watched volunteers’ brain activity, eye movements and hormone (荷尔蒙) levels. Test results showed that volunteers’ brain activity during deep sleep dropped by 30 percent on nights closer to a full moon. On these nights, volunteers also took about five minutes longer to fall asleep and slept for 20 minutes less. Their levels of melatonin, the hormone that helps control our sleep cycles (周期), also dropped.。
