One Semester Summary
Time flies, and it's hard to believe that one semester has already passed. In the past few months, I have experienced many ups and downs in my English learning journey. Looking back on this semester, I have learned and grown so much. In this essay, I would like to summarize my English learning experience and highlight the progress I have made.
First of all, I have noticed a significant improvement in my vocabulary and grammar skills. At the beginning of the semester, I struggled to understand complex sentences and often found it difficult to express my thoughts fluently. However, through continuous practice and diligent studying, my vocabulary has expanded, making it easier for me to comprehend English texts and communicate with others effectively. Additionally, my grammar skills have improved, and I have become more aware of sentence structures, verb tenses, and proper word usage. This progress has boosted my confidence in using English to express myself accurately.
Moreover, my reading comprehension skills have also improved tremendously. At the start of the semester, I struggled to fully understand English articles and passages. But as the semester progressed, I dedicated more time to reading English books, articles, and newspapers. This consistent reading practice has enabled me to expand my knowledge, enhance my understanding of different topics, and improve my overall reading comprehension. Now, I can confidently tackle complex texts, gain detailed
information, and analyze the content critically.
Additionally, my speaking and listening skills have also seen significant growth. In the beginning, I was hesitant and lacked confidence when it came to speaking in English. However, as the semester went on, I actively participated in oral discussions, debates, and presentations.
