Teaching aims:
1.After having this lesson,students will be able to find out the words and
phrases they are not familiar with in this unit, and try to learn them by heart.
2.They will be able to use the words and phrases in this unit by doing some
exercises.
3.Learn about the direction of the senior high school-entrance exam. Teaching key points:
Revise the key words and expressions in Unit 9.
Teaching difficulties:
Master t he usage of “hard and hardly”.
Teaching methods:
Reading , writing, listening and translating.
Teaching tools:
A multiply computer.
Teaching steps:
1.Greetings.
2.Review the words in Unit 9.
First have a little test. Write down the English words in Unit 9 according to the requirement.( About two minutes.) Then check each other. Read the words together.(twice for each word)
Then I’ll give students three minutes to read and write the words that they are not familiar with.(意图:通过互查,查漏补缺)
3. Exercise.
Do some exercises to use the key words. It’s a little difficult for some students. So they can ask me for help or work in groups.
And then deal with the difficulty.
First I’ll show them the usage of “hard and hardly”, then do some exercises in groups. Encourage them to check their answers on their own. (意图:通过练习,巩固重点,突破难点)
4.Review the key phrases in this unit.
First talk about the phrases in groups.(about one minute)
Then students translate the phrases one by one. Read them together.
Then I’ll give them one minute to recite the phrases they are not familiar with .
And then do exercises in groups.
Let them show their answers. ( another group can give their different
answers ,explain it to the class.)
(意图:通过操练巩固本单元词组,并能正确运用)
5.Listening
Play the listening material. Students listen and fill in the blanks.
After listening, I want students to talk about how to do a listening
test.
(意图:锻炼学生的听力,同时复习重点短语,提升做题技巧。
)6. Do more exercises to improve their skills to solve problems.
Check the answer.
7. Homework
List the words and phrases they are not familiar with on a piece of paper. And then recite it to your group leader.
Write a composition and hand it in to the teacher.。
