the other day = a few days ago,是一个惯用词组,一般用于过去时. 而 another day 可表示近期将来的某一天,意为“改天”,在句中作状语。

eg. He may come another day. 他可以改天来。

要加介词on/upon. concentrate on doing sth. 专注于某事 eg. We must concentrate on my new job.
