摘要：An edgewise bending processing method and apparatus comprise a restraining
mechanism for restraining a rectangular-section wire having a rectangular cross-section with long sides and short sides in such a way as to press a surface of the wire including the long side and hold the wire in contact with a surface of the wire including the short side; and an external guide and a rotating mechanism for edgewise bending the rectangular-section wire. The restraining mechanism restrains part of the wire in a restraining dimension that is shorter than a length of the short side and in a range of elastic deformation of the wire, and the external guide and the rotating mechanism bend the wire edgewise at the short side of the wire that is in contact with the restraining mechanism.
