I remember a time when I saw a homeless man sitting on the street with a sign asking for help. Instead of just walking by, I stopped and talked to him. I gave him some money and bought him a meal. It may not have been a huge gesture, but I could tell that it meant a lot to him. Sometimes, even a small act of kindness can make a big difference in someone's life.
I also believe in the saying, "Give a man a fish and
you feed him for a day; teach a man to fish and you feed
him for a lifetime." This means that instead of just providing temporary assistance, it's important to help the poor become self-sufficient. This could mean providing education and training opportunities, or helping them find employment. By empowering the poor to improve their own lives, we can make a lasting impact.
