My Friends and I
Hi everyone! My name is Tommy and I'm 10 years old. Today I want to tell you about my friends and compare ourselves in things like height, weight and other stuff. It's going to be fun!
Let me start with my best friend Jack. He's the same age as me but a little bit taller. Last time we measured, I was 4 feet 5 inches (135 cm) and Jack was 4 feet 7 inches (140 cm). So he's 2 inches (5 cm) taller than me. But my mom says I might still grow more since I'm a bit younger than him. Fingers crossed!
In terms of weight, I weigh around 65 pounds (29 kg) while Jack is 70 pounds (32 kg). He's a little heavier but we're both quite slim. The doctor said we have a healthy weight for our age and height. Mom gets us to exercise a lot by playing soccer, swimming and riding our bikes. It keeps us fit and active!
Now let's talk about our hair. Jack has straight blonde hair while mine is brown and a bit curly. My hair gets really messy sometimes no matter how much I brush it! Jack's hair always
looks so neat. Maybe it's because he has less hair than me. I actually like having a lot of hair though.
Jack has green eyes which are pretty cool. My eyes are just brown - boring! But at least I don't need glasses yet unlike Jack. He wears these really thick black frames that make his eyes look huge! Sometimes I tease him about being a nerd but he's actually super smart. Straight A student for sure.
In terms of our personalities, Jack is quite shy while I'm the louder, more talkative one. I make lots of jokes and funny faces to make him laugh. He says I'm crazy but in a good way! I just like having fun. Jack is more quiet and serious. He focuses a lot on his studies.
Of course, we do have some things in common too. We both love playing video games like Minecraft and Mario Kart. We have sleepovers all the time and game together for hours! Our favorite food is also pizza. Pepperoni for me and veggies for Jack since he's kinda picky.
Another shared interest is sports, especially soccer. We practice soccer skills in the park and have mini games. I'm probably better at scoring goals but Jack is an amazing defender. One time the coach said we make a great striker-defender pair! I also do Taekwondo lessons while Jack swims competitively.
So that's Jack in a nutshell - my closest friend who is taller, smarter, has neater hair and plays different sports than me. But we click so well and have a mega bromance going on!
Next up is my friend Emily. She's quite different from Jack in many ways. For starters, Emily is only 4 feet tall (122 cm) so I'm taller than her. But she's pretty petite and slim, weighing just 50 pounds (23 kg). Emily has long curly red hair which is gorgeous! Her eyes are hazel and she has lots of freckles on her face which I think looks super cute.
Emily is more of a girly-girl compared to me. She loves wearing dresses with pretty patterns and bows in her hair. I'm just a t-shirt and shorts kinda guy. We do share a love for arts and crafts though! Emily is an amazing artist and makes the most beautiful drawings with colored pencils. I'm quite good at crafts too and we often make lanyards, keychains and bracelets together.
Unlike Jack the bookworm, Emily doesn't like studying much. She finds it boring. But she is extremely active and energetic! We run around and play tag during recess. Emily also does gymnastics so she's really bendy and can do the splits. Her favorite area is the balance beam. I try it sometimes but I'm so clumsy I fall off!
Another big difference between Emily and Jack is that she talks NON-STOP. Literally, she never stops chatting and it drives Jack crazy! I think it's kinda funny though. Emily tells me every single detail about her day, her thoughts, her dreams - everything! I'm a bit of a chatterbox too so we get along great.
What else about Emily? Oh yeah, she's an amazing singer and dancer! She's always performing songs and dances she makes up herself. Her favourite thing is putting on shows for me, Jack and our other friends. Emily wants to be a big pop star one day. With her talent, I can totally see it happening!
Emily is also super competitive and hates losing at anything whether it's board games, sports or video games. If she loses, she'll keep wanting rematches until she finally wins. I think it's because she's an only child and doesn't like sharing the spotlight.
I don't mind losing to her but Jack gets really frustrated.
So in summary, Emily is shorter and slimmer than me, incredibly bubbly and talkative, highly talented in arts and performance, and extremely competitive! She balances out Jack's shy, quiet personality and my silly craziness. We have such a fun, diverse friend group!
The last person I want to talk about is my friend David. Out of all my friends, he's the most different from me physically. First
off, David is 5 feet tall (152 cm) so he towers over me! Secondly, he weighs around 120 pounds (54 kg) so he's much heavier and bigger built than me, Jack and Emily. I'm quite scrawny in comparison.
David has tanned skin, dark brown eyes and short black hair. His parents are from India so he has quite a unique look compared to the rest of us. I think the cultural differences are really cool and interesting. Sometimes David's mom sends him to school with traditional Indian food like curry and naan bread for lunch. It smells amazing!
In terms of personality, David is probably the most laid-back, relaxed person I know. Nothing seems to bother him or stress him out. He's always smiling and laughing. David loves to tease me and Jack but in a friendly way. Since he's bigger than us, he'll sometimes pick us up and give us hugs or nugies which is annoying but funny.
David is also a huge sports fanatic - the bigger and more physical, the better! He's obsessed with basketball, football and wrestling. We're always having competitions like arm wrestling, racing and pushing each other around playfully. David beats us easily since he's so strong!
Another thing about David is that he's quite smart and does well academically but in a different way from Jack. See, Jack is book-smart while David is more street-smart if that makes sense. Like David knows a ton of random facts about sports, movies, rappers and stuff. His general knowledge is amazing.
What I admire most about David is his confidence and positive vibes. He doesn't get embarrassed or shy about anything. During our school's talent show, David went up on stage and did some crazy hip-hop dancing moves! The whole crowd was cheering. I wish I had that level of self-confidence and swagger.
So yeah, physically David is taller, bigger, stronger and more athletic than me. But he's also wise beyond his years, super chilled out and incredibly self-assured which I aspire to be like someday. He's a great friend to have around.
Phew, that was a lot of information! As you can see, all my close friends and I have quite a few differences when it comes to our looks and characteristics. But that's what makes our group so special - we all bring something unique to the table.
Just like the characters in my favourite TV shows and books, each of my friends has distinct personalities, interests and traits. Jack is the sensible, smart one. Emily is the talented, dramatic
performer. David is the cool, athletic dude. And me? Well, I'm the crazy class clown who loves cracking jokes and making people smile!
At the end of the day, our differences are what bonds us together. We learn from each other, support each other, and just have an awesome time being kids. I feel so lucky to have such an amazing group of friends in my life. Hopefully we'll stick together forever!
Alright, that's all from me. Thank you for reading my rambling essay and letting me gush about my fantastic friends! Let me know if you have any other questions. Bye for now!

My Friends and Me
Hi everyone! My name is Tommy and I'm 10 years old. Today I want to talk about my friends and how we are different from each other. We may look different, but we all get along great and have a lot of fun together.
First, let me introduce my best friend Jack. Jack is the tallest one in our group. He is 4 feet 8 inches tall! That's really tall for a 10-year-old boy. I'm only 4 feet 3 inches, so Jack is 5 inches taller
than me. Jack also weighs more than me. He weighs 75 pounds, while I only weigh 60 pounds. I think Jack is so tall and big because he drinks a lot of milk and plays basketball every day after school.
Unlike Jack, my friend Emma is the shortest one among us. She is only 4 feet tall! Emma always jokes that she is a "tiny person." But even though she's little, Emma is very strong. She can do more push-ups than any of us boys! Emma has red curly hair and blue eyes. Her hair is really pretty.
Then there's my buddy Michael. Michael has straight black hair and brown eyes. He's about my height at 4 feet 2 inches, but he's a little chubbier than me. Michael weighs 65 pounds. I think it's because he really loves snacks, especially chocolate chip cookies! Whenever his mom bakes cookies, Michael eats a ton of them. That's probably why he weighs more than me even though we're almost the same height.
My friend Sarah has long blonde hair that goes past her shoulders. She's 4 feet 5 inches tall and weighs 55 pounds. Sarah is on the skinny side compared to the rest of us. I remember one time, it was really windy outside and Sarah almost got blown away because she's so light! Sarah loves running and playing soccer, which is why she's so thin and fit.
Unlike Sarah, my pal David definitely isn't skinny! David weighs 80 pounds which is the most of anyone in our group. But he's only 4 feet 4 inches tall. David has chubby cheeks and a round belly that jiggles when he runs. We all tease David about being our "chubby friend" but he doesn't mind. David says he gets his love for food from his dad, who is also kind of overweight.
My other friend Jessica is about average height and weight for our age. She's 4 feet 3 inches tall like me, and weighs 58 pounds. Jessica has beautiful long brown hair. She always has it tied up in a ponytail or braids. Jessica does gymnastics, so even though she's not super skinny, she has a lot of muscle!
Lastly, there's my neighbor Alex who just moved here from Korea. Alex is the same height as Jack at 4 feet 8 inches, but he only weighs 60 pounds like me. Alex has straight black hair and tan skin. He's really good at math and sometimes helps me with my homework. I think Alex is so skinny because he's a very picky eater and doesn't like a lot of foods.
So as you can see, all my friends and I are different sizes and weights. But no matter our height or how much we weigh, we all have fun playing together at recess and after school. We don't care about silly things like who's the tallest or who weighs the
most. We're just a bunch of crazy kids who like goofing around and being friends!

My Best Friend and I
My name is Tommy and I am 10 years old. I have a best friend named Johnny and we've known each other since we were babies! Our moms are best friends too. Johnny and I love playing together at the park, riding our bikes, and having sleepovers. Even though we're best buddies, we're actually pretty different in some ways. Let me tell you about it!
First of all, Johnny is taller than me. He's 4 feet 8 inches tall, while I'm only 4 feet 5 inches. Whenever we stand next to each other, the top of my head only comes up to his nose! Johnny says it's because he drinks a lot of milk, but I drink milk too so I don't know why I'm shorter. Maybe it's because his dad is really tall. My dad is kind of short like me.
Not only is Johnny taller, but he also weighs more than I do. He weighs 75 pounds and I only weigh 65 pounds. Our teacher says Johnny has a "stocky build" while I'm more "lean and wiry." That's a fancy way of saying Johnny has a little tummy while I'm really skinny! Sometimes the kids at school tease Johnny about
his tummy, but I tell them to stop because he's actually really strong from playing sports.
Johnny has blonde hair and blue eyes, while I have brown hair and brown eyes. His hair is really curly too. Sometimes I'm jealous because his blonde curls look so cool! My hair is just straight and boring. Johnny says he's jealous of my brown eyes though, since brown is his favorite color.
Even though we look pretty different, Johnny and I have a lot in common too. We're both obsessed with sports - our favorites are baseball, basketball and soccer. We're both good at math and want to be scientists when we grow up. We both hate brussell sprouts (yuck!) and our favorite food is pizza. Most importantly, we both love having fun and goofing around together.
Sometimes I worry that because Johnny and I look so different, we won't be best friends forever. But my mom says it doesn't matter what you look like on the outside, it's what's on the inside that counts. She says no matter how tall or short, heavy or skinny Johnny and I are, we'll always be best buddies as long as we're kind to each other. And I know that's true, because even though Johnny is taller, weighs more, and has different color hair and eyes than me, he's still the nicest, funniest, most
loyal friend I could ever have. I'm so lucky to have a best friend like Johnny!。
