教材解析:
本册教材是供小学四年级下学期使用的。

全书共分11 个模块,内含一个期末复习模块。

每一个模块分为两个单元。

一般情况下,第一单元表现本模块
所要学习的语言内容,第二单元供应若干任务型练习,包括一首歌或小诗。

歌谣或小诗的学习,目的有三:一是培养学生的语感和节奏感;二是提高发
音的正确性;三是经过这些英语国家儿童所熟知的歌谣,介绍必然的西方文
化。

其中的一些不常用的单词,不要修业生在歌谣之外学会使用。

在本册中,
我们将学习星期的表达方法,谈论相关郊游的情况,初步认识相关伦敦和美
国的基础知识;我们将进一步学习怎样表达能力,怎样谈论将来发生的事情;
我们还将学习怎样描述过去的动作与状态,特别是怎样在讲故事的进修表达
过去的动作与状态。

教课方案目的:
一、培养学生的语感和节奏感。

二、提高发音的正确性。

三、经过这些英语国家儿童所熟知的歌谣,介绍必然的西方文化。

教课方案进度表:
第一模块单元解析
本模块分两单元Unit 1 She's a nice teacher.anUnit 2 He's cool.整个模块介绍了怎样描述人物的性格特色?要修业生可以用简单的句子对好友的性格、外形进行描述。

同时复习了上学期学过的一些单词fat thin small big
tall short,从而引出naughty shy nice clever等几个新单词。

在本模块
中,出现了两个表示程度的副词 a bit very,分别表示‘特别’和‘有一点
儿’可以修饰后边的形容词,激励学生在造句时使用合适的副词。

Tell the students open their books,and look at the first picture .Answer
the teacher's question"Is this a dog?"The students respond.Now, I'm going
to play the tape. I want you to listen and tell me who is nice?(The teacher
plays the tape as many times as necessary.)Write the new words on the
blackboard: nice shy clever naughty
The teachershould explain the neaning of these four words.nice: means
pleasant.shy: means nervous and embarrassed,especially when you are
with people you don't know.clever: means intelligent naughty: means
badly behaved.Then the teacher should make statements containing
those words.
2)Listen and say
Please look at Acitivity2.I'm going to play the tape again. This time I'm going to pause it after each person speaks. Then I want you to repeat
the sentence.Then you will tell me thecorrect adjective to describe that
person.(The teacher does more examples with the class and also with
individual students.)
3) Point and say
Look at Acivity3,the teacher holds up the book and points to the
pictureofXiaoyong.Explain to the students that when we are some
distance away fron an object or person, we must use 'that' instead
of 'this'.And describes him\her\it usinga suitable adjective. The
teacher monitors the dialogues.
Step 3: Homework Write the new words twice, and listen the tape
carefully.

partner.(The students read the dialogue.)
Now work with a partner,please. Student A tells Student Bto
look at a character in Activity 1. Student Bdescribes that character
using an adjective.(The students work in pairs and the teach er monitors the dialogues.)

第二模块单元解析
本模块由London si the capital of England和This is the River Thames.两
个单元组成,介绍怎样描述一座城市或一处光景?本模块向我们介绍了伦敦是
英国的国都、世界闻名的大城市,是英国的金融、文化、艺术和教育中心,泰
晤士河穿越而过。

伦敦历史悠久,名胜古迹众多,拥有好多闻名的建筑物和旅
游景点,其中包括伦敦桥、伦敦塔、塔桥、大本钟、白金汉宫、海
德公园等。

歌曲 London Bridge is falling down. 是一首传统的英国歌曲,让我们感觉一
下歌曲的旋律和内容,并边唱边做游戏。

step1: Warm up
1)Sing a song
2)Move round the classroom, pick up an object and say,"What 's this?" Point to another object and say 'What's that?"The students
can respond,"It's a (n)...\That's a (n)..."(Do many examples with
the class.)
3)Have the students do the activity in pairs. Remind
them that the word'this'is used for people or objects
we are touching or close to .'That'is used for people
or objects that some distance away.
Step2: Learning and practising
1)Get the students to look aat the pictures and see if
they can work out what is happening. Ask them question in
Chinese .e.g:
What are the children looking at in the first picture?
What are the children doing in picture4?
What are they looking at in the last picture?
2)Revise'big' and'small',and pick up or point to objects in
the classroom, say ,'This is\That is small' or'This is\That is
big.'(Do many examples with the class.)
3)Tell the students that you are giong to pick up or touc h things and they have to say if they are big or small.Remind the
students that they will have to use'that's' as they will be some
distance away from the objects.(point to some of the things in
the story and have individual students tell you if they are big or
small.)
4)Point and say
revise the adjectives the students know, including colours,e.g. big small,naughty.clever,short,thin,fat,small,long, red,yellow.
Now point to objects on different pages in the book
and say what each one is . The students have to make
a statement about each object using an adjective.(Have the students continue the activity in pairs.)

step1: Warm up
1)Sing a song
2) Rebise adjectives. Tell the students that you are going to say an adjetive. They have to find something in their books that the adjective describes. Ask two or three students to say which object they chose.
Step2:Learning and practising
1) After doing 'Listen,point and say',tell teh students to close their books. Explain that you are going to say the first word of a two-word place name. These places are all in London.The students have to say the second word of the two- word name.
2)If possible, have the students somtinue the activity in
pairs.They should take turns to say the first word.
3)When playing guessing games, the students should
be free to ask as many questions a s they want to find
out what the object is.e.g. Is it...? However, they can
only guess the name of the object once.e.g.Is it...?
Tell the students that you are going to say adjectives
and they have to think of monuments in China tha t
these adjectives describe.(It is acceptable for the
students to say the names of the monuments in Chinese.
4)Have the students look at the picture and describe
teh students that this song.'LondonBr idge is falling down' is a traditional English song.Explain that LondonBridge is a very
famous bridge in London.
Play the spoken version of the song and have the
students repeat each line.
Now play the tape and have the students sing the song.

step1: Warm up
1)Sing a song
2)Tell the students to pretend they are going on a picnic.Get them to
think of things they might take.Write the words on the board.
Encourage the students to think of both objects and food.
3)Tell the students to close their books. say that you
are going to play the tape. The students have to tell you which objects Amy will take on the picnic. If you made a list in the
warmer activity, leave it on the board. After listening,ask the
students if any of
the things on the list are nentioned on the tape. Tick
those items.
4)Tell the students to choose one object that they are
going to take on the picnic. It doesn't have to be on the list
they made in the warmer,but they must know the word in
English.
5)Now ask the students questions. If you ask about
something that any of the students have written
down ,those students must stand up. The winner
is the last student to stay seated.

2)Write the numbers1-7 on the board . Write the
words Monday to Sunday under the numbers.
Have them predict the meaning of the words,
Monday,Tuesday and so on(The days of the week.)
3) Point to the words and say them. Have the students
repeat them.
4)Now tell the students that you are going to say a day
and they have to use an ordinal number and say which day
it is?
Step 2: Learning and practising
1)Have the students suggest activities that they do and write
a list on the board ,e.g. play football,ride a bike ,go
swimming,read a book ,watch TV, go to the cinema, go to school,
walk in the park, play with a friend,do hom ework.
2)Then draw the following calendar on the board:

books.They should write activities on the calendar. These can be
real things that they will do or activities they would like to do.

another what they will do on the seven days of the

‘ rain ’与‘ rainy ’的差异:‘rain ’所指的是短时性的降雨,而‘rainy ’的意思是“多雨的”,指的是一段时期内的天气特色。

与它相同的还有
‘ snow ’与‘ snowy ’的差异。

1)Sing a song
2)On the board draw a robot (draw a square for the
head, rectangle for the body, rectangles for the arms
and legs, squares or rectangles for the eyes, no se and
mouth on the head).
3)Then write 'It can...'under the picture.
4)Point to the robot and say,'This is a robot.'Have the
students repeat the sentence .Then say, 'It can walk'
and begin to walk around the class.Try to walk in a very awkward'robot'way.(do more example by
pointing to the robobt and saying,'It can...'and then
miming the action.)
5) Now have individual students say something they
think the robot can do and you have to mime the action.
6)Have pairs of students come to the front .Student Asays what
the robot can do and StudentB does the action. You may want to
write a list of suitable verbs on the board.

2)Introduce some of the new vocabulary by drawing
some pictures to represent the different weather patterns.
Copy the pictures from the textbook,draw
your own or get the students to draw some.
3)Write the appropriate'weather'words underneath
and place the pictures on the wall of the classroom.
4)Look outside and say,'It's...today' Hold up or point to the appropriate weather symbol. You will have to say'raining' or
'snowing'if there si rain or snow. Note that you will also have to
teach'cloudy'as it is in the poem.
5)Now perform mimes to show the students the m eaning of the other weather conditions or make a statement and have the
studets do an appropriate mime.
Step 2 : Learning and practising
1)Play this memory game before doing Activity 2.Have the
l out a city
and the students have to say the type of weather in
that city.(do a lot of examples. Then have the student
continue the activity in pairs. After three turns, they
should swap roles.)
2)Have the students look at the b ooks and say what they think the chant will be about(the weather)
3) Ask the students what is their favourite time of year and
why. Find out if they prefer being hot or cold

and you say the comparative form.

'bad'compared to the other adjectives in the list
( they don't add '-er'to make the compatative).Explain that these
aare adjectives that have irregular(meaating'not the
usual')comparatives.
5)Now get the students to work in pairs and continue
to do the activity. They must take turns to say the
adjective.
Step 2 : Learning and practising
1)Tell the students to close their books. Say that they are going
to listen to the tape and tell you which comparatives they hear.
2)Play the passage once and let the students listen.
They should hear both'better'and 'worse'.
3)Point and say
Tell the students to try and bring the following
magazine pictures to class:a holiday place,a car,a
house,a stereo,a room. If they can't find magazine
pictures,they can draw these places and objects.
In the next lesson, invite two studenta to the front
and get them to hold up their pictures of houses.
The students have to say which one is better and
which one is worse.
Now have another pair come to the front. They
should hold up their pictures of cars and the rest
of the class says which one is better and which
one is worse.

3)If you have a tape with examples of the different
music,play it for the students. Say,'This is
[adjective] music\jazz.'Have the students repeat the
sentence. If the students can't listen to these types of
music,you will have to explain in Chinese what they
are ,i.e.pop music(short for 'popular',modern),
Chinese music(it means'traditional Chinese music'here, serious and traditional,played by traditional
Chinese instruments),jazz(music which originated in
the American south。

to look at the book. Have them read the example
dialogue in their groups.
3)Do an example. Choose two competent students
and say to the first one,'What music do you like?'
Prompt the students to answer,'I like [type of

say which type of music he\she prefers.(now have
the students continue the activity in their groups.)
4)Tell the students that you are going to play the tape so
they can listen to the melody.Now have the students look at the
words of the song.Play the tapeof the words and have the students repeat.
5)Explain to the students that they should mime playing the instruments as they sing the names of
those instruments.
6)Play the tape again and have the students sing a nd
also mime playing each instrument.
7)Have the students work in pairs.Student A mimes

Step three:Listen and say
Draw a rough map of the USA and mark the following
places on the map:New York, San Francisco and
Washington D.C.
Allow the students to look at the map for one minute and
then erase the names.Leave circles to mark the places you
have erased.Now point to a circle and ask,'Which place is
here?' The students should respond,'That's [city name].'
Step four:Point ,ask and answer
Show a map of China or draw one on the board.Mark the
compass pointd'east'and'west'if they are not already on the
map.
Now write the names of some cities that are in the east and
some that are in the west.
Explain to the students that you are going to call out the
name of a city and they have to say if the cit y is in the east or west.。
