A：This letter says I’ve won a thousand dollars. There must be some mistake!

这封信说我赢了一千美元，一定是哪儿出错了吧。

B： There is no mistake about it. You were the winner of a special lucky drawing.

一点没错，你是一次特别抽奖的幸运儿。

A：I can’t believe I made such a stupid mistake.

我真不敢相信我犯了这么一个愚蠢的错误。

B：Forget it! It’s not that serious.

算了吧！没那么严重。

A： It is a mistake to trust him.

信任他真是个错误。

B： I told you so.

我早就告诉过你了。

Kim’s Note：“I made a mistake.” This sentence is so difficult for many native speakers to say. Chinese people don’t like to make mistakes. American people don’t care at all about making mistakes, they just don’t like to admit them.

很多使用英语作母语的人也很难说出：“I make a mistake.”这句话。中国人不喜欢犯错误。美国人倒不在乎犯不犯错误，他们仅仅不愿意承认犯了错误。
