一、单元学习主题
本单元属于“人与社会”主题范畴中“社会服务与人际沟通”这一主题群,涉及子主题“和谐家庭与社区生活”。

二、单元内容分析
本单元分为Section A和Section B两部分,主要围绕话题“Your town”展开听、说、读、写、看等语言活动。

本单元共有两个主要语篇,第一个语篇是对话的形式,是Helen向新来的Greg介绍社区而展开的对话;第二个语篇简要介绍了达人秀的相关情况。

两个语篇不仅为我们传递了不同的语言知识和语篇知识,也引导学生了解彼此的喜好和家乡之最,培养学生热爱生活的意识。

二、教学目标(一)知识掌握如何谈论交通工具和距离:How do you get to ...? How long does it take? bicycle, subway, car, train, bus stop, train station, bus station, subway station, get to, how far, minute, kilometer, mile, transportation, calendar(二)能力能够合理安排行程,并选用恰当的交通工具。

(三)情感动手调查,体验实际调查的方法和过程。

三、教学重点谈论交通工具和距离:How do you get to ...? I take ... I walk. bicycle, subway, car, train, bus stop, train station, bus station, subway station, get to, how far, minute, kilometer, mile, transportation, calendar四、教学难点合理安排行程,并选用恰当的交通工具。

五、教学媒体图片、电脑、投影仪六、教学过程1. 问题导入,引发学生的思考:教师可向学生展示一些交通工具的图片,并提出以下类似问题:你认识这些交通工具吗?你知道它们的英文名字吗?你每天是怎么来上学的呢?通过图片和问题引发学生的思考,呈现新知。

2. 完成任务,合作学习:教师可以给学生布置以下任务,让学生在完成任务的过程中掌握所学的知识。

任务一:Yes / No transportation quiz!学生分组活动或全班共同活动。

一个学生表演一些交通工具的特征,其他同学来提问,猜出是何种交通工具,表演的学生用yes / no回答。
