The map shows the changes taking place in a village named Chorleywood between 1868 and 1994. It is clear that the development was divided into four stages and the village has changed considerably. The grew as the transport infrastructure was improved. From 1868 to 1883, Chorleywood park was located in the middle of the area, with the original village on the west.
