1.序数词(1)概念:在英语中,表示顺序的词称为序数词。
(2)基数词变序数词口诀:基变序,有规律,词尾th莫迟疑;一二三,特殊记,单词结尾t, d, d;八减t,九减e,f要把ve替;ty把y改为i,记住th前还有e。
说明:①“第一”、“第二”、“第三”分别是 ________,________,________,它们的结尾字母分别是t, d, d。
②eight变成 ________ 时,词尾只加h,相当于把eight中的t减掉,再加th。
③nine变成 ________ 时,要去掉e。
④five→________,twelve→________,都是把ve改为f,再加th。
⑤表示“整十”以ty结尾的基数词,变成序数词时,把y改为________,再加 ________。
如:twenty→twentieth, thirty→thirtieth⑥表示“整十加个位”的基数词(十几除外)变序数词时,只把 ________ 变成序数词即可。
(3)注意事项序数词后接单数名词时,表示“第……”;其后接复数名词时,则指“第……批”。
如:the first book 第一本书, the first books第一批书(4)序数词的用法①序数词的前面一般要加定冠词the,但当名词前已经有了物主代词时,序数词前不再加定冠词the。
