Place the watch with the9:00 position facing toward the station.• Do not move the watch during time signalreception.• The watch will not receive a time signal whenin a low charge state as indicated by the secondhand moving in two second increments (the insufficient charge warning). Charge the watch before reception.15Note on the time signalThis watch receives the time signal from the five signal stations located in four regions and automatically adjusts the time and date. The receivable signal stations are listed asreceivable area roughly.16Approximate receivable areaThe distance of receivable range is only used as an approximate value. It is often affected by the receiving environment and weather.• The value of the distance is a radius of the value from the signal station.JJY (Japan): Approx. 2000 km Kyushu stationJJY (Japan):Approx. 1500 kmFukushima station Continued on the next page1718WWVB (USA):Approx. 3000 km Fort Collins stationThe distance of receivable range is only used as an approximate value. This may cause a poor environment for receiving the time signal. With reference to pages 17 to 19, search for a better place for reception. Then, attempt to receive the time signal following the procedure on pages 22 and 23.2122On-demand reception—manual signal reception activationY ou can adjust the watch by receiving the time signal anytime when the time and date are not correct or the receptionresult is “NO.”• The watch will not start to receive if the second hand ismoving once every two seconds (this is the insufficientcharge warning). Fully charge the watch beforeattempting on-demand reception.• Not all areas can receive a signal. Be sure you are not insuch an area and confirm the city is selected for yourtime zone. See pages 10 to 13.1.2.To cancel the receptionPress and hold the lower right button A for two or more seconds.Cancel the reception and the current time will be indicated.23During the Daylight Saving Time seasonBefore proceeding, please know the movement type in your watch. Please refer to page 1 for this determination. Some areas observe Daylight Saving Time.• Daylight Saving Time rules will vary depending on the country or region within a country.Movement caliber H144When the watch receives a time signal, the Daylight Saving Time setting is automatically updated. The time signal update overrides any manual settings that may have been made. If you live in an area that does not observe Daylight Saving Time, you may need to use alternate city for correcting the time. See pages 10 to 13. Movement caliber H145When the watch receives a time signal, the Daylight Saving Time setting is automatically updated, provided the user has not manually turned OFF overridden the Daylight Saving Time setting. If you live in an area that does not receive a time signal, you will need to update the Daylight Saving Time setting manually. See page 26.24251.2.To manually change the Daylight Saving Time setting1.Pull the crown out to position . This manual override precludes Daylight Saving Time from being automatically adjusted during the time signal update. If this function is not desired, the only way to cancel themanual override is to do the reset and 0-Positioning outlined on page 46.26<Cities sharing the Daylight Saving Time setting>The Daylight Saving Time / standard time is shared and automatically updated amongWhen changing to a city other than outlined in the chart above:Movement caliber H144Time signal overrides any manual setting of the Daylight Saving Time.Movement caliber H145Daylight Saving Time is set in accordance with the last-received time signal. However, when manual override has been activated, the time signal will not update the time zone with the manual Daylight Saving Time override.• For how to check the movement number, see page 1.27If you live in an area that does not observe Daylight Saving Time<Movement caliber H144>Anytime a time signal is received, any manual Daylight Saving Time is overridden and set in accordance with the time in the time signal. If you live in an area that does not observe Daylight Saving Time, it will be necessary for you to utilize an alternate time zone to have the correct time shown (see pages 10 to 13).e.g.Select the city with +1 hour time difference.CautionY ou must change the city setting to the correct time zone city after the Daylight Saving Time season has finished.28If you live in an area that does not observe Daylight Saving Time (continued)<Movement caliber H145>Movement caliber H145 will “remember” a manual Daylight Saving Time setting. As such, if you manually turn the Daylight Saving Time to “OFF” for a particular time zone, it stay “off” and not be affected by any time signal update. It is important to note however that with the change of each Daylight Saving Time, you will need to manually turn the setting ON or OFF as outlined on page 26.The only way to cancel any manual override setting is to do the reset and 0-positioning procedure as outlined on page 46.29Recharging your watchThis watch has a rechargeable cell which is charged by exposing the dial to light such as direct sunlight or fluorescent lamps. For optimal performance:• Expose the watch with the dial facing towards direct outdoors sunlight (not through a window) for five to six hours at least once a month.• After taking off the watch, put it in a position where the dial is exposed to bright light, such as by a window.• Before storing the watch in a dark place for an extended period of time, be sure to charge it fully. When the watch is regularly covered with long sleeves, it may not be charged sufficiently. Try to keep the watch exposed to light sufficient for charging.Do not charge the watch at a high temperature (about 60˚C/140˚F or higher).30When the watch reaches a low charge state—insufficient charge warning functionCharging time by environmentBelow are the approximate times needed for charging when exposing the watch dial towith the power save feature engaged (based on a full charge). After the second hand starts moving once every two seconds, it will last for approximately three days.32Power save featureWhen the watch is not exposed to light for more than seven days such as when you store it in the dark, the minute hand and second hand automatically stop to save power. (The time signal reception is not possible with the power save feature engaged.) However the watch still keeps the time.• When the crown position is or , the power save feature will not activate.•To cancel the power save featureWhen the watch is exposed to light sufficient for charging, the power save feature is automatically disengaged and normal time indication will resume. After the power save feature is disengaged, you should receive the time signal manually. Wearing in situations that prevent light exposure such as long shirt or coat sleeves will prevent your watch from receiving light sufficient for charging. In these instances, supplemental charging may be needed.• When you take your watch off, try and place it in a bright location. This will ensure your watch receives light for charging and will continue to operate properly. Storing your watch in dark places for extended periods of time may cause the stored energy to become depleted and your watch to stop.48CAUTIONmalfunction.Examples:halogen lamp.the dashboard of a vehicle.49<Replacement of Rechargeable Cell>• Y our watch features a cell that does not need regular replacement. However, after an extended period of time, power consumption may increase due to deterioration of lubrication in the movement. This may result in shorter than expected run time. Be sure to have your watch regularly inspected by an Authorized Service Center.Note: Regular maintenance is not covered under the terms of the warranty.WARNING Handling of Rechargeable Cell• The rechargeable cell should never be removed from the watch. If for any reason it becomes necessary to remove the rechargeable cell from the watch, keep out of the reach of children to prevent accidental swallowing. If the rechargeable cell is accidentally swallowed, consult a doctor immediately.• Do not dispose of the rechargeable cell with ordinary garbage. Please follow the instructions of your municipality regarding collection of batteries to prevent the risk of fire or environmental contamination.50。

西铁城机械表使用说明书
Analogue Mechanical MécaniquesUser’s ManualDisplay and functions➊ Seconds hand➋ Minute hand➌ Hour hand➍ Date*➎ Day** According to modelCongratulationsWe congratulate you on choosing a CERTINA® watch, a Swiss brand among the most highly renowned in the world. Meticulously designed, using only the highest quality materials and components, your watch is protected against shocks and impacts, variations in temperature, water and dust and also benefits from the DS concept. To ensure that your watch operates with perfect precision for many years to come, we recommend that you pay careful attention to the advice provided hereafter. This user manual applies to all CERTINA® mech anical watch es (hand-wound or automatic). Please refer to the explanations relating specifically to your watch model. The DS (Double Security) concept is characterised by:– an extreme shock resistance to scratches and impact,– an ultra-resistant sapphire crystal,– a gasket inside the crown and a gasket around the winding stem guar-anteeing the water resistance of the watch even when the crown is pulled out,– a reinforced case back.WindingModels with screwed crownTo ensure even better water resistance, certain models are fitted with a screwed crown. Before setting the time, winding or setting the date* or day*, you must first unscrew the crown into position IB. Important: After every operation, th e crown must be screwed back in to maintain the water-resistance of the watch.Hand-wound mechanical watchesHand-wound watches must be wound regularly by hand in order to remain in continuous operation (e.g. every morning before putting the watch on your wrist). To do so, pull the crown into position I and turn it forward until it locks. The power reserve of fully wound mechanical movements varies from 36 to 80 hours, depending on the models. Automatic mechanical watchesYour watch must be wound manually if it has stopped or not been worn for several days, in order to ensure that your watch remains in continuous operation during periods of low activity (e.g. during sleep). In these cases, turn the crown through 30 revolutions forward in position I. The automatic winding system will then ensure that the movement is fully wound if the watch is on your wrist. It is also possible to fully wind an automatic watch manually by means of the winding crown. However, please note that automatic movements have a slipping spring, which disengages the winding system (the crown can be turned infinitely) once the movement has been fully wound. Generally speaking, 80 revolutions of the crown are enough to fully wind most automatic mechanical watches. The efficiency of the automatic winding system of a mechanical movement depends on th e wrist movements of th e person wearing th e watch. Do not deliberately sh ake your automatic watch to wind it; this has no effect and could damage the watch. SettingsNB: Please take account of the information above if your watch is fitted with a screwed crown.Setting the timePull the crown out to position III and turn it in either direction until the desired time is displayed. On certain models with a seconds hand, you can synchronize it with an official time signal (radio/ TV/Internet). When the crown is pulled out to position III, the seconds hand is stopped. Once the time is synchronised, push the crown back into position I (and screw it back in on models with a screwed crown). Note: certain calibres do not have a “stop seconds” mechanism. To synchronise them, you need to turn the crown backward slightly and hold back the tension, thereby stopping the seconds hand. You then need only release the tension when the display matches the time signal. Rapid correction of the date* and day*NB: Do not perform a rapid date correction between 22:00 and 02:00.Pull the crown out to position II and turn it clockwise until the desired date is displayed, or counterclockwise to correct the day. During this operation, your watch will keep operating, so you will not need to adjust the time.Technical informationPower reserveCERTINA® Automatic watches draw their energy from an oscillating weight which is activated in response to the natural movements of your wrist. This weight keeps the watch wound. Automatic watches do not need a battery. Depending on the model, the power reserve varies from 36 to 80 hours.AccuracyThe accuracy of a mechanical watch depends on the movements and habits of the person wearing it, and so it can vary. A CERTINA®qualified watchmaker can adjust the accuracy of a watch within the CERTINA® tolerance thresholds. Most watches which are not certified chronometers have an average accuracy tolerance of around -10/+30 seconds per day.A chronometer is a precision mechanical watch which has obtained an official certificate issued by CO SC (Contrôle O fficiel Suisse des Chronomètres), after its movement has passed several accuracy tests in various positions and at various temperatures, as well as water-resistance tests performed in the laboratory for 15 days and 15 nights. To be awarded the title of chronometer, the average accuracy of a mechanical movement must be between -4/+6 seconds per day. Water-resistanceCERTINA® watches are designed to withstand a pressure of up to 3 bar (30 m / 100 ft), 5 bar (50 m / 165 ft), 10 bar (100 m / 330 ft), 20 bar (200 m / 660 ft) or 30 bar (300 m / 1000 ft), depending on the information shown on the case-back.A watch cannot be permanently guaranteed absolutely water-resistant. It may be affected by ageing of the gaskets or by an accidental impact on the watch. We recommend that you have your watch’s water resistance checked once a year by an approved CERTINA® service centre. Care and maintenanceTemperatureDo not expose your watch to sudden temperature changes (exposure to sunlight followed by immersion in cold water) or extreme temperatures (over 60°C (140°F) or below 0°C (32°F).Magnetic fieldsDo not expose your watch to intense magnetic fields such as those generated by loudspeakers, mobile phones, computers, refrigerators or other electromagnetic appliances.Shocks and impactsAvoid thermal shocks or impacts, since they may harm your watch. In the event of a violent impact please have your watch checked by an approved CERTINA® service centre.Harmful productsPrevent your watch from coming into any direct contact with solvents, detergents, perfumes, cosmetic products etc., since they may damage the bracelet, the case or the gaskets.CleaningWe would advise you to clean your watch regularly (except for the leather strap) using a soft cloth and lukewarm soapy water. After immersion in salty water, rinse your watch in fresh water and leave it to dry completely.ServicesLike any precision instrument, a watch must be serviced regularly for optimum operation. As a general rule, we recommend that you have your watch checked every 3 to 4 years by your approved CERTINA®retailer or service centre. However, please note that depending on the climate and the conditions of use of the watch, a shorter interval may be required. To benefit from the highest standards of service and to ensure your guarantee remains in force, please always contact an approved CERTINA® retailer or service centre.Availability of spare partsFrom the stoppage date of the watch production, CERTINA® guarantees the availability of its spare parts for a minimum period of 10 years for standard watches, and for a period of up to 20 years for gold watches. If for any reason production of a particular spare part is stopped or deferred, CERTINA® reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to offer the customer an alternative solution.。
