(第二课时教学设计)
一、教材分析
1.教学内容
本课时系教材《英语基础教程》(2)第三单元的第二课时,包括reading and writing部分,具体内容为:阅读关于招聘广告的文章,能够根据关键句型进行招聘广告的设计。
该话题与学生现在的生活紧密联系培养学生的自信心。
2.教学重点、难点
⑴教学重点
读懂简单的招聘广告,并能找出关键信息点。
⑵教学难点
根据关键信息点,填入恰当的词汇完成招聘广告。
二、教学目标
1.知识目标
⑴学生掌握以下词汇和短语:advertisement, part-time, full-time, quality, apply for, be familiar with.
⑵学生掌握以下句型:
--- We are looking for …
--- Are you good at …
--- We have…
--- We will contact you as soon as we can.
--- Please call sb. for more information.
能力目标
(1) 学生能读懂简单的招聘广告,并能找出关键信息点。
(2) 学生能根据关键信息点,填入恰当的词汇完成招聘广告。
2.情感目标
帮助学生发现自我能力和价值,帮助学生树立信心,发挥潜能,为今后求职打下坚实基础。
三、教学步骤
Step One Lead-in
1.Act and guess.
The teacher invites one student to act doctor, waitress, teacher, salesperson and driver and so on, Have the others guess the job. Give the different students marks. (邀请一位擅长表演的同学上台将老师给出的各种工作的特性表演出来,其他同学根据他的表演来猜这个工作。
老师根据同学答对的个数来给分。
)
(设计意图:通过“你演我猜”的游戏,让学生在轻松愉悦的氛围中回忆所学的各种工作
的英文表述,为后面的学习做好铺垫。
通过抢答的形式调动学生的学习兴趣和参与的主动性。
)
2.Activity 7. Tick and talk. Have the students tick the most important qualities to get a job.
Teacher: Do you want to do some part-time job?
What kind of job do you want to do?
Are you qualified for the position?
Have the students think it over and share their opinions.
(设计意图:让学生谈论自己理想工作岗位是什么,需要的哪两种最重要的个人素质并给出理由,为后面的活动做好了铺垫。
同时恰当地引入本课时的主题。
)
Step Two Reading
1.Pre-reading.
Activity 8 Read and circle. Students read the text quickly, circle the qualities the text mentioned.

学生利用这种阅读学习策略,能更好的把握文章的主旨,提高自己的阅读理解能力。

Activity 9 Read and choose.
(1)Students read the text carefully and then choose the right answer.
(设计意图: 本活动为详细阅读并进行信息提取活动,要求学生仔细阅读全文并提取关键信息。
训练学生通过详读查找重要信息的能力。
)
(2)Answer the questions.
Q1: What qualities are necessary to be a part-time shop assistant?
Q2: Can a vocational student in Grade Two get the job of swimming coach?
Q3: What is the teaching assistant’s main job?
(设计意图:通过这样的练习,帮助学生理解文章。
)
(3)Key phrases and sentences explanation.
Ask the students to learn the usage of the key phrases and sentences, and then try to use them to make sentences.
Explain the following words and phrases to the students:
apply for: ~job/passport/grant等(工作、护照、拨款)
e.g.:I want to apply for a credit card.
I want to apply for buying something more.
be familiar with:
e.g.: I’m not familiar with her.
The technical development may be familiar with the problem.
require:
e.g.: The school requires students to go to school in advance.
The situation requires that I should be there.
as soon as:
e.g.: I will tell him as soon as possible.
We can go and play basketball as soon as the homework has been finished.

3. Post-reading.
Activity 10 Read and translate. Translate the Chinese into English.
(设计意图:训练学生的对本课关键词语和句式的掌握。
)
Step Three Production
1. Activity 11 Write and practice. Design three job advertisements. Finish the ads with the given information. Teacher helps students to fill in the blanks in job ads with the information in the chart.
(设计意图: 设计招聘广告。
从具体招聘广告中找到相应关键信息点,再把关键信息点还原到广告中去,模仿教材中出现的广告,设计广告。
)
2. Design competition.
The teacher divides the students into several groups, five students in each group. Students are going to hold a job fair. Now work in group and prepare the job fair. Use the job advertisements with the key sentences in the job ads.
1) Brainstorm the positions, such as an English teacher, cook, a salesperson, and so on. Then write down the most popular position in your group.
2) Decide at least 3 qualifications of application for the position.
3) Design a job advertisement for this position.
4) Prepare at least 5 interview questions.
(设计意图:课堂活动的难点阶段。
帮助学生结合广告关键信息点和典型句型,自行设计出招聘广告。
)
Step Four Summary
Make a short summary of what we’ve learned today.
(1) Key vocabulary and phrases:advertisement, part-time, full-time, quality, apply for, be familiar with.
(2)Key sentences:
--- We are looking for …
--- Are you good at …
--- We have…
--- We will contact you as soon as we can.
--- Please call sb. for more information.
(设计意图:对本课时所学内容进行巩固小结,让学生明确本节课学习目标。
)
Step Five Homework
1.Draw a post of Want ad.
2.Finish the part “Reading comprehension”in the workbook .
