Carbon dioxide is a colorless, odorless gas that makes up a small fraction of the Earth’s atmosphere. Despite its small presence, it plays a crucial role in regulating the planet’s temperature and supporting life on Earth.
Carbon dioxide is a greenhouse gas, meaning it traps heat in the atmosphere and contributes to the warming of the planet. This effect is often referred to as the greenhouse effect.
