Step 1 Lead in
Teacher :A family of mice met a cat in the kitchen,the Father Mouse was clever enough to use a second language to make the cat run away. Do you know what a second language is? Today let's learn the story about the clever Father Mouse.
Step 2 Work on Grammar Focus
通过板书呈现一般过去时各种特殊疑问句,让学生观察总结。
Step 3 Work on 3a3c
1.认真阅读三组对话,根据答语选择合适的疑问代词或疑问副词来补全对话。
集体核对
答案。
2.两人一组,互相练习对话,体会一般过去时的特殊疑问句的构成及回答。
3.认真阅读3b的小短文,用所给词的正确形式填空,集体核对答案。
4.大声朗读短文,然后两人一组互相复述故事,注意一般过去时的运用。
并让几个同学来复述故事。
5.以小组为单位,每一个同学就上周所做的事情画一副图画,其他同学根据所画的图画来猜这个学生上周末的活动。

疑问词who在本句中作主语,此时疑问句语序为陈述语序,回答时用主语+系动词/情态动词/助动词。
e.g.:—Who is singing?谁在唱歌?
—Lily is.莉莉。
—Who cooks breakfast for you every day?谁每天为你做早餐?
—My mom does.我妈妈。
who还可以在句中作动词或介词的宾语。
e.g.:Who did you visit last Saturday?上周六你看望谁了?
Who did you go fishing with?你和谁去钓鱼了?
2.A family of mice were in the kitchen on Saturday morning when they saw a big cat.星期六早上,老鼠一家在厨房里,这时他们看到一只大猫。

(1)family为集合名词,当它指家庭成员且作主语时,谓语动词用复数;当它指整体概念且作主语时,谓语动词用单数。
e.g.:The Green family are watching TV now.
格林一家现在正在看电视。
The Green family is a big family.
格林家是一个大家庭。
(2)mice是mouse的复数形式,意为“老鼠”,是不规则的名词复数变化。
e.g.:There were three mice in the kitchen.
厨房里有三只老鼠。
3. ...that's why it's important to learn a second language... ……那就是为什么学第二语言重要啦……(教材第69页)(1)That's why...意为“那就是为什么……;那就是……的原因”,此处why引导表语从句。
e.g.:That's why he didn't come.
那就是他没有来的原因。
I got up late. That's why I missed the bus.
我起床晚了,那就是我没赶上公共汽车的原因。
(2)a second language意为“第二语言”。
e.g.:English is a useful language. It is often used as a second language.
英语是一门有用的语言,它经常被用作第二语言。
