中文释义：v. 装饰，润色；考试范围：TOEFL / IELTS / GRE追根溯源embellish里的bell部分，来源于拉丁语bellus，意思是“美丽，漂亮”。
在法语里，belle就是“美女”的意思，法国著名童话《美女与野兽》里的女主角名字就叫Belle.英文名Bella也来源于此，听上去就很有美感。
而前缀em为使动前缀，ish是动词后缀，所以em+bell+ish=使…漂亮→润色。
