从语言学习的角度讲,英国著名语言学家威尔金斯有一句名言:“While without grammar little can be conveyed, without vocabulary nothing can be conveyed.”
The silence was suddenly broken when a large car, with its headlights on and its horn blaring, roared down the arcade.句中的 with its headlights on and its horn blaring就是由介词with引导的两个并列的独立结构。

Let's get down to fundamentals and agree that the young are after all human beings---people just like their elders。

Here is an essay on the topic of "Perfect Practice of New Concept English Lessons 93 to 94", with a word count of over 1,000 words. The journey of learning a new language is often filled with both challenges and triumphs. For those who have embarked on the path of mastering English, the New Concept English series has proven to be an invaluable resource. In this essay, we will explore the perfect practice of Lessons 93 and 94 from this renowned language learning program.Lesson 93, titled "The Importance of Being Earnest," delves into the intricacies of sincerity and authenticity. The premise is simple yet profound – that true success and fulfillment in life come not from outward displays or artificial constructs, but from a genuine commitment to one's beliefs and actions. This lesson encourages learners to cultivate a sense of honesty and integrity, both in their personal lives and professional endeavors. One of the key takeaways from this lesson is the recognition that being earnest, or sincere, is not merely a lofty ideal, but a practical necessity for achieving lasting success. The lesson highlights theimportance of aligning one's words and deeds, and the consequences that can arise when there is a discrepancy between the two. Through carefully crafted examples and thought-provoking discussions, learners are urged to reflect on their own values and behaviors, and to strive for a greater alignment between their intentions and their actions.Furthermore, Lesson 93 emphasizes the power of authenticity in building meaningful relationships and professional connections. It underscores the idea that people are drawn to those who exhibit a genuine and honest character, as opposed to those who merely put on a façade. By embracing sincerity, individuals can cultivate trust, respect, and a deeper sense of connection with those around them, ultimately leading to more fulfilling and rewarding interpersonal experiences.Building upon the foundation laid in Lesson 93, Lesson 94 explores the concept of "Honesty is the Best Policy." This lesson delves deeper into the importance of truthfulness and the consequences of dishonesty, both in personal and professional contexts. One of the central themes of Lesson 94 is the notion that honesty, while sometimes challenging, is the most effective and sustainable approach to navigating life's complexities. The lesson emphasizes that while lying or deception may offer short-term gains or perceivedadvantages, the long-term consequences of such actions can be significantly more damaging. It encourages learners to develop a strong moral compass and the courage to always strive for honesty, even in the face of temptation or potential personal gain.Furthermore, Lesson 94 highlights the importance of honesty in building trust and credibility, both in interpersonal relationships and in professional settings. It illustrates how a reputation for truthfulness and integrity can lead to greater opportunities, stronger collaborations, and more meaningful connections with others. Conversely, the lesson examines the ways in which dishonesty can erode trust, damage reputations, and ultimately hinder one's personal and professional growth.Throughout both Lessons 93 and 94, the New Concept English series expertly weaves together real-world examples, thought-provoking discussions, and practical applications to reinforce the importance of sincerity, authenticity, and honesty. By engaging with these lessons, learners are encouraged to reflect on their own values, behaviors, and decision-making processes, with the ultimate goal of developing a stronger moral character and a greater capacity for success in their personal and professional lives. The perfect practice of these lessons involves not only a thorough understanding of the concepts presented but also a genuinecommitment to incorporating these principles into one's daily life. This may involve regularly evaluating one's actions, practicing open and honest communication, and making decisions that align with one's core values. Additionally, learners may benefit from engaging in discussions with peers or mentors, sharing their own experiences and insights, and collectively exploring ways to apply these lessons in real-world scenarios. In conclusion, the New Concept English series, and specifically Lessons 93 and 94, provide a powerful framework for personal and professional growth. By embracing the principles of sincerity, authenticity, and honesty, learners can cultivate a stronger sense of self, build meaningful relationships, and achieve greater success in their endeavors. The perfect practice of these lessons requires a deep commitment to personal reflection, consistent application, and a willingness to continuously refine one's approach to life's challenges and opportunities.。

1Learning English with Diana's LessonsHi there! My name is Lily and I'm a 3rd grader. I just started learning English this year and it's been such an exciting adventure! My teacher uses these really cool textbooks called "New Concept English" to teach our class. The books were written by this guy named L.G. Alexander a long time ago, but we watch video lessons taught by a lady named Diana Hu Jinming. She's awesome! In the first lesson, Diana introduced herself and explained that she would be our English teacher for Book 1. She has a very kind voice and smile. Diana said the New Concept English books are special because they use a "situational approach" to teaching. That means the lessons are like little stories about people's daily lives. By reading the stories, we learn vocabulary and grammar in context, just like native English speakers do when they are little kids. Isn't that neat?Diana walked us through the first story called "Pm Lesson." It was about a girl named Pat who was feeling lazy and didn't want to do her homework after school. Her mom got a little upset but then promised to help Pat with her studies later that evening. I understood most of the words but there were some new ones like "homework" and "arithmetic" that Diana stopped to explain. She's really good at defining things clearly so we can understand. As we worked through the stories, I could feel my English getting better and better! The stories are simple but so engaging. Like the one called "The Tobacco Story" about a man who wanted to stop smoking. Or "A Dreadful Accident" where a lady accidentally puts her bloomers (that's an old word for underpants!) in her friend's shopping basket. So embarrassing but hilarious! By lesson 12, I could read little narratives all by myself. What I really love are all the fun practice exercises and games Diana has us do. Like putting vocabulary words in alphabetical order, or filling in the blanks to complete sentences. Sometimes we split into teams and have competitions to see who can answer verbal questions the fastest. Diana makes everything into a game so learning never篇2My Exciting English Lessons with Teacher DianaHello everyone! My name is Lily and I am a primary school student here in China. I just started learning English this year and it has been such an amazing adventure! Our teacher for English class is Mrs. Diana Hu and she is simply the best. I want to tell you all about the fun and engaging way she teaches us using the New Concept English books. When I first walked into the English classroom on the first day of school, I was a little nervous. I had never studied English before and it seemed like such a difficult and strange language. But as soon as Teacher Diana greeted us with her warm smile, I felt instantly at ease. "Welcome, my dear students!" she said in both Chinese and English. "We are going to have so much fun learning English together."Teacher Diana started off slowly, introducing us to basic vocabulary words like colors, numbers, fruits, and classroom objects. Instead of just lecturing at us, she used a lot of visuals, games, songs, and interactive activities to make it easy to remember the words. We would point to pictures, toss a ball around the room and say the English word, or sing goofy little songs. It was all so lively and engaging!Once we had learned enough vocabulary, Teacher Diana began walking us through the dialogs and stories in our New Concept English Volume 1 textbooks. These lessons followed the daily lives and conversations of an American family - the Huangs.I really enjoyed listening to the recorded dialogs and trying to understand the context and meaning.Even though the situations were very simple, like asking for different foods or talking about household chores, I found them so fascinating. It was my first glimpse into American daily life and culture. Teacher Diana would go through the dialogs line-by-line, acting out the different roles with enthusiasm. We would repeat the phrases after her, practicing the pronunciation and intonation. After listening to the dialog, Teacher Diana would ask us lots of questions to make sure we understood the main idea and key details. She would have us identify the different speakers, explain what was happening, and pick out the new vocabulary words we had learned. I loved raising my hand to answer - it felt like unlocking piece by piece this mysterious English code. The stories included after the dialogs were my favorite part! They were such captivating little narratives, following the Huang family members as they went about their days. From a motherscolding her son for being rude to guests, to a boy losing his pet mouse at school, the stories always sparked my imagination and made me excited to know more.Teacher Diana would read the passages aloud in English, pausing occasionally to explain phrases or idioms we didn't know yet. We could all follow along in our textbooks too. Then we would take turns reading sections aloud practicing our pronunciation. I was a little shy about my English at first, but Teacher Diana was so patient and created such a warm, supportive environment. After reading the stories, we had to answer comprehension questions that challenged us to dig deeper into the vocabulary and events we had learned. Teacher Diana would put us into small groups and have us discuss and debate our answers with each other. I loved working collaboratively like this and seeing how my classmates interpreted things differently. At the end of each lesson, we did fun reinforcement games and activities related to the dialog and story. Sometimes we would do role-plays re-enacting the scenes as the different characters. Other times we would create posters, drawings, or diagrams to depict the key events visually. Teacher Diana alwaysfound such imaginative ways to cement what we had learned into our brains and make it stick. In just the first few months of English class, I have already learned sooo many words and grammar concepts through the New Concept English curriculum. From basic nouns and adjectives to present tenses and question formations, each new idea builds logically on the previous ones. The contexts of the stories and dialogs make it easy to understand how the words and patterns are used in real life. What I love most about Teacher Diana's approach is how she makes English feel so fun, engaging and alive - not just lists of vocabulary or rules to memorize. The characters in the stories feel like friends whose lives I am excited to follow week after week. Mrs. Diana Hu is so passionate about teaching too, always smiling and laughing with us as we practice together. I can't wait to continue my journey of exploring the English language through the New Concept English books. It truly has opened up a whole new world for me!Looking back, I can't believe how far I have come in just a short time. From barely knowing the English alphabet, to being able to read stories, answer comprehension questions, and engage in simple dialogue - all thanks to Mrs. Diana Hu'snurturing guidance. I feel like English is becoming second nature which once seemed like an impossible dream. I am so grateful for these wonderful lessons and am more excited than ever to keep learning. Who knows, maybe I'll be an English teacher like Mrs. Hu myself one day! But for now, I'm just a young student with so much more to discover. See you next week for our next adventure, class!篇3My Name is Lily and I'm in 5th Grade!I just started learning English this year and my teacher gave us this really cool book called "New Concept English" by Diana Hu Jinming. It's Volume 1 and I'm so excited to learn from it! The book is bright red and has a picture of Diana Hu Jinming on the cover. She looks really friendly. My teacher says Diana Hu Jinming is an expert at teaching English to Chinese students. She made these books to help us learn English in a simple but effective way. I can't wait to dive in!The first lesson was all about basic conversations. Like how to introduce yourself and ask someone's name. We learned sentences like "Hello, what's your name?" and "My name is Lily." Simple stuff but so important!Next we moved onto families. We learned words like mother, father, sister, brother, etc. I have one younger brother named Tommy so this lesson was extra helpful for me. Now I can tell my English friends all about my family. One of my favorite lessons so far was on colors. The book had all these bright, beautiful pictures to help us remember. My favorite color is purple so I definitely won't forget that one! We also learned colors like red, blue, green, yellow, and more.Another fun lesson covered numbers. We started with the basics like 1, 2, 3...all the way up to 20! I felt so accomplished counting that high in English. My teacher says we'll keep going higher as we progress through the book. Some of the other topics we've covered so far are animals, food, daily routines, and telling time. Everything is introduced slowly with lots of examples and practice conversations. Diana's writing is so clear and easy to understand. The best part is how the book tells little stories to make the lessons fun and memorable. My favorite one so far was about John going to the park and feeding the birds, squirrels, and fish. Picturing those scenes in my mind helps me remember all the animal words.Overall, I'm having a blast learning English from Diana's book! My teacher is so patient and makes sure we all understand before moving ahead. She says we'll keep working our way through Volume 1 this year.I feel like I'm picking up so much practical English for daily life. Pretty soon I'll be able to read kids' books, watch cartoons, and hopefully make some English-speaking friends! Who knows, maybe I'll even travel to an English-speaking country someday. For now, I'm just really grateful to have such an engaging, well-designed book to learn from. Diana Hu Jinming did an amazing job putting it all together. Volume 1 is the perfect start for young learners like me. Once I finish it, I'll be so eager to continue my English journey with Volume 2!I'd recommend "New Concept English" to any kid wanting a solid foundation. The lessons are fun, the stories are delightful, and Diana Hu Jinming's expertise shines through on every page. Wo xihuan Yingyu! (That means "I love English!" in Chinese.) Thanks Diana!篇4My Favorite English BookHi there! My name is Emma and I'm 8 years old. I just started learning English this year in school and it's been really fun so far. My favorite part about English class is our textbook - it's called "New Concept English" and it was written by this really nice Chinese teacher named Diana Hu Jinming. The book is bright red and has a picture of a bird on the front cover. I think the bird is supposed to be learning English too, just like me! When I first got the book, I was a little nervous because I didn't know any English at all. But my teacher said "Don't worry, this book will teach you everything you need to know. Just listen carefully and practice a lot." And she was right! The first few lessons started off really easy. We learned simple words like "book", "pen", "chair", and how to say "Hello, how are you?" I practiced saying all the new words over and over again until I had them memorized. My mom and dad even helped me go through the lessons at home. Pretty soon, I could recognize all the vocabulary words just by looking at the pictures. But then the lessons started getting a little harder. We had to start putting the words together into sentences and learning verb tenses like "is" and "was." That's when I realized English has way more grammar rules than Chinese! Like why do we say "Iam" but "you are"? So weird! I got pretty mixed up in the beginning trying to remember all the different verb conjugations.Thankfully, the textbook has really clear explanations and lots of examples for each new grammar point. Whenever I got confused, I could just re-read the explanations and practice the examples over and over until I got it. The book also has tons of practice exercises at the end of each lesson, so I got plenty of chances to drill the concepts. My favorite part of the book is all the cute story passages and dialogues. The stories are really engaging and have funny characters like an owl, a squirrel, and a naughty little boy named Bobs. As I learned more vocabulary and grammar, I could slowly understand more and more of the story lines. It felt so rewarding to finally comprehend an entire passage after working so hard on the vocabulary and sentence structures! The dialogues are also super useful for learning practical English conversation. They teach you how to greet people, introduce yourself, talk about your family, describe objects, and more. My teacher has us practice the dialogues by role-playing with partners, which is a little embarrassing at first but really helps cement the language patterns. Thanks to all that practice, Ican now easily have basic back-and-forth conversations in English!Overall, I absolutely love this New Concept English book. The lessons are clearly organized from easy to hard, with constant practice and review to hammer in the concepts. The vocabulary lists are varied and interesting, the grammar explanations make sense, and the stories and dialogues are fun ways to apply what I've learned. More than anything, this book has made me feel confident and capable when it comes to understanding and speaking English.I may only be in Volume 1 right now, but I can't wait to continue working my way through all the other volumes in this series. Who knows, maybe someday I'll be an English expert just like Diana Hu Jinming! For any other kids out there struggling to pick up a new language, I highly recommend checking out New Concept English. You'll be speaking like a pro before you know it! Thanks for reading my essay - gotta run, time for English class!篇5My New English BookHi everyone! I'm so excited to tell you about the new English book I just got. It's called "New Concept English" and it's writtenby this really awesome teacher named Diana Hu Jinming. I just started learning from Book 1 and I already love it!The book is really colorful and has lots of fun pictures. On the very first page, there's a big picture of a happy family waving hello. The mom, dad, boy, and girl all have big smiles on their faces. I think they must be really excited to start learning English too! Each lesson in the book has a cute little story about the family. The first story is about the dad, John, and what he does for work. It turns out he's a doctor! How cool is that? The story uses really simple words that I can understand like "doctor", "hospital", and "help". Even though the words are easy, the stories are still really interesting. After the story, there are vocabulary words to learn related to the topic. For the doctor story, some of the new words are "nurse", "illness", and "patient". The book shows pictures for each word to help me remember what they mean. My favorite way to practice is by quizzing my parents and having them try to guess the words from the pictures! Then there are exercises for practicing grammar, like putting words in the right order to make sentences. These exercises aren't too hard, which makes me feel really confident. And myteacher Diana gives lots of examples and explanations so I understand what I'm learning. One of the coolest parts are the language practice sections. In these, Diana uses funny jokes, rhymes, and chants to help me practice speaking English. Like for the doctor lesson, there's a rhyme that goes:"A nurse for a purse,A doctor for a scoffer.Which will you have for your fever?I'll take the doctor!"Isn't that cute? I love reciting these out loud and doing all the funny gestures and movements that go along with them. It makes learning English feel more like a game than hard work. What I like best about Diana's book though, is how encouraging and supportive she sounds. At the end of each lesson, she gives me a sweet little message of praise and motivation. Things like "Well done! You're making excellent progress." Or, "Keep working hard and I know you'll master English easily."With such a kind and patient teacher, I feel like learning this new language won't be too difficult after all. Whenever I get frustrated or stuck, I can just reread Diana's words of wisdom and it puts me in a positive mindset again.I'm only a few lessons in so far, but New Concept English is quickly becoming my favorite book. The simple stories and vocabulary are perfect for my level. The exercises give me just the right amount of practice without being overwhelming. And Diana's supportive teaching style makes me excited to keep learning.I can't wait to continue my journey through Book 1 and then on to all the other books in the series. Who knows, maybe by the time I finish, I'll be almost as good at English as Diana herself! But for now, I'm just taking it one lesson at a time and having tons of fun along the way. Thanks Diana!篇6My New English TextbookI was so excited when my mom brought home the new English textbook for me - it's called "New Concept English" by L.G. Alexander. I've heard the older students at school talk abouthow good this book series is for really learning English properly. Finally, I get to use the famous "New Concept English" too!The book looks pretty plain on the outside, it's just a navy blue cover with the title in yellow text. But I know they say you can't judge a book by its cover. Inside is where the real treasure is! On the very first page, there's a letter from the author, L.G. Alexander. He explains that this book teaches "a new concept" of how to properly learn English through practice and repetition. I'm not totally sure what that means yet, but I'm eager to find out.The first lesson is all about verb tenses - present, past and future. The examples use really simple sentences like "He works in an office" and "They watched TV last night." I already know a lot of these from my previous English classes, but I can tell the lessons are going to build up step-by-step. Mr. Alexander's method must get more advanced as the book goes on.What I like already is how everything is explained clearly in English, with just a few annotations in Chinese if I need them. The exercises have me putting the sentences into the right tenses and filling in blanks. At first I thought it seemed too easy, but Mr. Alexander does remind students to "take pains" and not rush through sloppily. Slow and steady practice is the way to mastery.By Lesson 10, I've covered present continuous tense, past tenses, future tenses, and different types of verbs like stative verbs. The sentences are still simple, but I'm using more vocabulary and there are notes explaining grammar concepts. Like how we use present continuous for temporary actions, but simple present for permanent states. Fascinating little details I never knew before!Around Lesson 20, I'm working with conditionals, reported speech, questions, and negatives. Now the example sentences are more complex and varied. Things like "He said that if it rained the next day, the match would be cancelled." See, not just "I am happy" anymore! I have to practice transforming these longer sentences, e.g. changing a conditional to reported speech. It's tricky at first, but that's why we have to do all the exercises, over and over. Repetition, repetition, as Mr. Alexander emphasizes.Midway through the book, I'm feeling more and more comfortable using all these foundational English grammar patterns. Lessons in the 30s and 40s cover topics like modals, passive voice, infinitives, and gerunds. Honestly, before this book I didn't even know what some of those terms meant! Like what's the difference between "I am going to Beijing" and "I am goingto go to Beijing"? Simple examples at the start helped me see the difference, before working through tons of practice sentences. What also helps are all the beautiful drawings and photos accompanying the lessons. Like a cute picture of a dog for sentences about pets. Or an image of kids playing baseball for practice about sports. The visuals make it more fun and help me remember the language.I have to admit, around three-quarters of the way through, some of these lessons can feel quite dense and repetitive. Lesson 60 on verb patterns, Lesson 65 on nominals, Lesson 70 on compound sentences - it's getting challenging! But Mr. Alexander reminds me in his notes that "obedient persistence" is key. I'm developing the habit of using good, grammatical English. My parents are so impressed with my progress too. The other day, my dad asked me a question and I automatically answered using reported speech - "My teacher said that if we don't submit our homework on time, we won't get good grades." He looked surprised and told me my English has really improved. Thanks, Mr. Alexander! Now I'm towards the last couple dozen lessons, which pull everything together. Lessons on articulation, inversion, emphasis, formality. Long exercises to show I've truly mastered English grammar. I have to be careful not to make silly mistakes after all this hard work! Finally, I've reached the very last lesson - number 90 on idioms and proverbs. Pieces of advice and wisdom like "Don't count your chickens before they are hatched." How fun to culminate with learning these quirky English sayings! The exercises ask me to rephrase the idioms and discuss their meaning. A terrific way to apply my skills with higher-level vocabulary and phrasing. As I work through that final lesson, I feel a sense of accomplishment. Who knew that plain blue book would turn out to be such an incredible journey? I've gone from simple sentences to complex grammar, from basic vocabulary to sophisticated idioms. All thanks to the "obedient persistence" Mr. Alexander prescribed. In his last few notes to students, he reminds us that we've only mastered the "primary" stage of English. There's still so much more writing, speaking, and literature to explore as we continue our studies. But Mr. Alexander's New Concept English has given me a rock solid foundation. A new concept for learningindeed! I'll always be grateful for this special book that taught me to truly think in English.。

短暂与漫长新概念英语作文一等奖Ephemeral and Enduring: The Tapestry of Time.In the vast expanse of existence, where moments ripple through the fabric of reality like elusive whispers, the concepts of ephemeral and enduring emerge as profound paradoxes. Ephemeral, like a fleeting breath, vanishes in an instant, leaving behind only the faintest trace in the annals of memory. Enduring, on the other hand, transcends the boundaries of time, its essence woven into theintricate tapestry of history and legacy. The Dance of the Ephemeral.Ephemeral experiences are the poignant brushstrokes that color our existence. They are the fleeting moments of joy that fill our hearts with warmth, the fleeting glances that ignite sparks of connection, and the fleeting scents that transport us to distant lands. Like delicate petals carried by the wind, these experiences bloom and wither inthe blink of an eye, leaving behind a bittersweet longing for what once was.The beauty of ephemeral moments lies in their transformative power. They remind us of the preciousness of time, urging us to cherish each passing moment as if it were our last. They teach us to live in the present, to savor the fleeting joys of life, and to let go of the burdens of the past and the uncertainties of the future. The Legacy of the Enduring. In contrast to the ephemeral, enduring qualities endure through the trials and tribulations of time. They are the towering mountains that have witnessed centuries of change, the ancient trees that have borne witness to the rise and fall of civilizations, and the timeless principles that have guided humanity throughout history.Enduring qualities are etched into the very fabric of our existence. They are the values we hold dear, the knowledge we pass down from generation to generation, andthe aspirations that drive us forward. They are the foundations upon which we build our societies, our cultures, and our collective destiny. The Interplay of Ephemeral and Enduring. While ephemeral and enduring may seem like opposing forces, they are in fact inextricably intertwined. The ephemeral gives rise to the enduring, and the enduring provides context and meaning to the ephemeral. Like threads in an intricate tapestry, they weave together to create the rich and multifaceted tapestry of human experience.Ephemeral experiences shape our individual identities, while enduring qualities define our collective history and purpose. The fleeting moments of joy, love, and wonder are the ephemeral threads that make up the fabric of our lives, while the enduring values of justice, compassion, and truth provide the framework upon which that fabric is woven.Embracing the Tapestry of Time.To fully appreciate the beauty and significance of existence, we must embrace both the ephemeral and the enduring. We must cherish the fleeting moments that bring us joy and meaning while recognizing that they are but a part of the grand tapestry of time. We must also strive to create enduring legacies that will outlive our own mortality, contributing to the collective tapestry of human history.By embracing the ephemeral and the enduring, we find balance and harmony in the symphony of existence. We learn to appreciate the fragility of life while also recognizing the profound impact we can have on the world. We become both architects of our own ephemeral experiences and guardians of the enduring legacy we leave behind.Conclusion.The tapestry of time is a complex dance between the ephemeral and the enduring. The ephemeral moments that fill our hearts with joy and wonder are the delicate brushstrokes that color our existence, while the enduringqualities that define our lives and legacies are the threads that provide structure and meaning. By embracing both facets of time, we find a profound appreciation for the beauty and significance of the human experience.。

One in four people will e_perience some kind of mental problem in thecourse of a year. As for me, TV PK Shows, as all otherthings, have both positive and negative effects. Therefore, the most crucialthing is how we see them. Some people think Talent Shows provide grass-root people with a stagetodisplay their talents, so they should seize every opportunity to show off theirtalents. Some College students even give up their studies to attend these TV PKShows in the hope of becoming famous overnight. They even regard TV PK shows asa shortcut to the success. While other people reckon that TV PK Shows willdevelop the undergraduates’ attitude of an_ious of achieving quick success. Andonce they were failed in these shows, they would suffer a great psychologicalunbalance. This is really bad to their physical and psychological health. To sum up, everything has its limit. As long as the right attitude isemployed, then it is OK.【篇三】量体裁衣This cartoon is silly, and yet compelling: a large customer holds ahopelessly small piece of cloth as the tailor carefully measures. Such an imagesuggests that one needs to consider practical reality in the pursuance of goals.Merely acting on one s desires, while ignoring the facts at hand, cannot lead tosuccess. The fact that currently there are more graduates than jobs reminds us ofthe importance of rational thinking. Every year appro_imately 3 million studentsgraduate from universities and begin looking for work. Many of them fail to findsuitable employment because there are simply not enough opportunities toaccommodate such great numbers of graduates. In addition, however, one mightalso cite flawed individual assessment as a reason. In order to create a realistic target for one s future, one must makerational decisions and prepare accordingly. 新概念英语之完美演练93到94课作文

新概念英语之完美演练93到94课作文全文共6篇示例,供读者参考篇1My Exciting School Field TripLast week, my class went on the most exciting field trip ever! We got to go to the science museum in the big city. It was a really long bus ride to get there, but it was so worth it.First, we went to the dinosaur exhibit. There were huge dinosaur skeletons and fossils on display. My favorite was theT-Rex skeleton. It was ginormous! Its teeth were as big as my whole hand. Our teacher told us that the T-Rex was the king of the dinosaurs because of how fierce and powerful it was. I wouldn't want to meet one in real life, that's for sure!Next, we visited the space section. There were models of the planets and the sun, as well as real meteorites you could touch. They felt really heavy and dense. There was also a pretend rocket ship that we could go inside. It had all the controls and buttons that a real rocket has. I got to sit in the pilot's seat and pretend to launch the rocket into outer space. Blastoff! After that, we went to an interactive exhibit all about the human body. It was awesome! There were lots of games and activities to learn about how our bodies work. My favorite part was the climbing structure in the shape of a large body. You could crawl through the mouth, then slide down the esophagus tube to the stomach room at the bottom. So cool! They also had displays showing real human organs preserved in jars. The brain and heart looked kind of squishy and gross, but fascinating at the same time. For lunch, we had a picnic outside on the museum grounds. The sun was shining and there were lots of trees and green grass areas to run around on. After we ate, some of us played tag and others just rolled down the hills. I did both! I haven't had that much fun playing outside in a long time. School playgrounds just aren't as great as huge open park areas. In the afternoon, we went to a show in the museum's planetarium. It was a domed room with chairs that leaned all the way back so you could look up at the ceiling. The planetarium projected images of all the planets, stars, galaxies and nebulas in the night sky onto the domed ceiling. It felt like we were actually floating in space, looking at the real cosmos. The show taught us about constellations and how to identify different star patterns.By the end, I could find and name the Big Dipper, Orion's Belt and even the Milky Way galaxy! On the bus ride home, I was exhausted from all the walking, looking, learning and fun we had. A bunch of kids fell asleep, including me for a little while. When we finally made it back to our school, I didn't want the amazing field trip day to end.I can't wait for the next big trip our class takes. Maybe we'll go to an art museum, or a history museum, or a hands-on science lab next time. Wherever we go, I know it will be another awesome, fun-filled adventure. Field trips are the best!篇2My Summer VacationThis summer was the best summer ever! I had so much fun and did lots of cool things. First, my family went on a big trip to the countryside. We stayed at my aunt and uncle's farm for two whole weeks! On the farm, I got to do all sorts of fun activities. Every morning, I helped my aunt collect the eggs from the chicken coop. The chickens were pretty funny looking, especially the big roosters. They would flap their wings and make loud"cock-a-doodle-doo" sounds. I liked petting the soft feathers on the hens. After collecting eggs, I would go see the cows out in the pasture. The cows were huge! Their big mouths would open and close as they chewed on the grass. I tried milking one of the cows. It was harder than I thought to pull on the udder and get the milk to come out. I only got a little bit in the bucket before the cow started kicking. My uncle said I did a good job for my first try though. In the afternoons, we would go on walks around the farm fields. I saw tons of different birds, rabbits, and even a family of deer once! My favorite was this bright red cardinal that would sing pretty songs from up in the trees. I tried whistling back at him but I'm not very good at whistling yet. We also walked through the vegetable garden and picked ripe tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, and squash to have for dinner. The vegetables tasted so fresh and yummy! On the farm, I didn't get to watch much TV or play video games. Instead, I played lots of outdoor games with my cousins. We played hide and seek around the old barn and chicken coops.I was really good at finding them but not so good at hiding myself. We also played tag, kicked around a soccer ball, and didrelay races across the big open fields. By the end of the day, I was always tired but really happy. At night after a big farm dinner, we would go out and look at the stars. The sky was so clear without all the city lights. I saw a million tiny stars! My uncle pointed out the constellations like the Big Dipper and Orion. We even saw a few shooting stars which was crazy! I made a wish on each one. On other nights, we would build a campfire and roast marshmallows. I got some marshmallow goo all over my face which was pretty sticky and gross. But the s'mores were so worth it!The two weeks on the farm went by way too fast. Before I knew it, it was time to head back home to the city. I was really sad to leave but also excited to tell my friends about all my adventures. They were probably just sitting around playing video games while I was out having the best summer ever! When we got back home, my dad took us on another fun trip - this time to the beach! I loved playing in the salty ocean water and making sandcastles on the shore. The sandcastles never lasted very long before the waves came crashing in though. I also tried boogie boarding for the first time, which was awesome! I could ride on top of the waves all the way into the shallow water. My face got all wet and sandy but I didn't even care.At night on the beach, we would have bonfires and makes'mores again. I buried my baby sister in the sand and she looked like a little mermaid! Mom didn't love that game too much though. There were lots of little crabs and fish that would wash up on shore too. I caught a bunch in my bucket so I could look at them up close before letting them go back in the water. After a few days at the beach, we went back home again. I was pretty tired from all the swimming and playing in the sun. Summer was almost over but there was still one more exciting thing to do - go school shopping for my new fourth grade classroom!Mom took me to the big mall to get new school supplies. I picked out fresh boxes of crayons, colored pencils, markers, scissors, glue sticks, folders, and notebooks. I got to choose superhero or galaxy patterns for everything which was so cool. Then we went to get my new clothes and backpack. I'm gonna be the most stylish fourth grader for sure! I can't wait to show off my new gear.As summer comes to an end, I already miss the adventures and fun times. Thanks to my amazing farm and beach trips though, I have a million memories that I'll never forget. This was definitely the best summer ever and I'm so lucky I got toexperience it all. As much as I'll miss the break, I'm also really excited to start fourth grade. Bring it on!篇3My Summer Vacation AdventureThis summer, I had the most amazing adventure! It all started when my parents told me we were going to visit my grandparents in the countryside. I wasn't very excited at first because I thought it would be boring, but boy was I wrong! The journey there was pretty long. We had to take a bus for three hours to get to my grandparents' village. I looked out the window and saw lots of trees, fields, and even some cows and sheep! It was so different from the city I live in.When we finally arrived, my grandparents were waiting for us with big smiles on their faces. Their house was pretty old but really cozy. It had a big garden in the back with all sorts of vegetables and fruit trees. My grandfather showed me around and let me pick some fresh tomatoes right off the vine. They were delicious! After settling in, my grandparents said they had a surprise for me. They took me on a little walk through the woods behindtheir house. I was a bit scared at first because I had never been somewhere so wild before. But my grandfather assured me there was nothing to worry about. We walked for what felt like forever, pushing through branches and tall grass. Just when I was getting tired, we entered a beautiful clearing. In the middle was a magical treehouse! My grandfather told me he had built it himself when he was a young boy. He said I could use it as my special hideaway during our stay.I instantly fell in love with the treehouse. It had windows all around so you could look out at nature. There were little carved wooden chairs and even a desk for writing or drawing. My grandparents had stocked it with books, games, art supplies, and snacks too. This was going to be the best vacation ever!Every day I spent hours up in that treehouse reading, drawing pictures, or just staring at the woods. Sometimes birds or squirrels would come right up to the windows and I could watch them up close. It was like having a secret fortress all to myself. One day, I was pretending to be a brave explorer searching for treasure when I noticed something shiny underneath the trap door in the treehouse floor. I pulled it up and discovered an oldtin box! Inside were some very old toys and books that must have belonged to my grandfather when he played there as a child. I spent the whole afternoon marveling at those treasures from the past.My grandparents took me on other adventures too. We went fishing in the stream, had picnics out in the fields, and roasted marshmallows over a campfire at night. Grandma taught me how to bake fresh bread and pies from scratch. Everything tasted so much better than the stuff you get from the grocery store. On one of our walks, we came across an abandoned barn overgrown with vines and wildflowers. My grandfather said it used to belong to a farmer who moved away long ago. We went inside and I pretended it was the lair of an evil dragon that I had to slay! The musty smell and creaky floors made it feel like something out of a storybook. All too soon, our vacation came to an end. I was really sad to leave my special treehouse and go back to the city. But my grandparents promised I could come back again next summer, and the summer after that. They even said that one day when I'm all grown up, the treehouse will belong to me. Then I can take my own kids or grandkids there for adventures! The ride home felt twice as long. I spent it daydreaming about all the fun I had andcounting down the days until I could return to my secret kingdom in the trees. This was definitely the best summer ever, and I can't wait to go on more amazing adventures at my grandparents' place!篇4My Big Adventure on the TrainLast summer, my family and I went on a big adventure by train! We had never travelled that way before, so we were all really excited. My little sister Kate was especially excited because she loves watching the world go by out the window when we go on road trips in our car.The night before our trip, we could hardly sleep we were so eager to get going. We packed our suitcases full of clothes, books, games, and snacks for the long journey. My favorite stuffed elephant Webb had to come along too – I've had him since I was a baby and I never go anywhere without him.Early the next morning, Dad drove us to the train station downtown. I had never been to a train station before. It was huge, with tall ceilings, big arched windows, and long platforms where the trains came in. There were families with suitcases andbackpacks everywhere, and the air was full of the sounds of announcements over the loudspeakers and the rumbling of the trains pulling in and out. After checking our big suitcases, we went through the gates and down to the right platform to wait for our train. An Amtrak worker in a blue uniform waved us toward the correct car based on our tickets. Mom told me Amtrak is the company that runs most of the passenger trains in America. When our silver train finally pulled in, a porter in a smart uniform opened the door and we climbed up the metal steps into our car. I looked around in awe at the narrow aisle with seats lining both sides. Above each pair of seats was a big window to see out. Kate and I raced to claim a window seat on one side, while Mom and Dad took the seats across the aisle. As the train started moving, I pressed my face against the glass to watch the station disappear behind us. The buildings and streets rolled slowly by at first, but before long we were picking up speed and the scenery turned into a blur of colors and shapes whizzing past. It was a little dizzying at first, but also really exciting and fun!The train rocked gently from side to side as we rolled along the tracks. Every few minutes it would let out a loud "Toot! Toot!"from its horn as we approached a crossing or another train on a different track. I loved seeing the bright red crossing arms lower across the roads whenever we came to an intersection. For a few hours, we just gazed out the windows at the fields, forests, rivers, and small towns flying by. Whenever the train slowed to go through a town, I tried reading some of the signs and names of the stores and businesses. I had never realized how many places there are between cities when you travel by train instead of zipping straight through on the highways.Around lunchtime, we walked back to the lounge car to buy food from the snack bar. Kate got a hot dog and I had a slice of pizza. We took our food back to our seats and ate while watching the world go by out the big windows. The pizza tasted even better than usual with the rhythm of the train rocking us gently from side to side. After lunch, I read some of my books for a while but kept getting distracted by all the interesting sights out the window. Cows grazing in fields, traditional red barns with gambrel roofs, old grain silos towering over small towns - I had never noticed those kinds of things from the highway before.Eventually, I grew tired of reading and just kicked back to enjoy the ride. The rocking motion and rhythmic noises of thetrain made me feel cozy and relaxed, like being rocked in a cradle. Before long, I drifted off to sleep with my head resting against the window. Some time later, I awoke to the sound of the train's horn blowing repeatedly as we approached a crossing. I opened my eyes and saw we were pulling into a big station - our first stop to let passengers off and on. I excitedly watched the scripted routine as we pulled to a stop and the conductor opened the doors: First the conductor hopped off and checked that all was clear on the platform. Then the porter opened the door from inside the car and placed a metal stair on the ground. A stream of passengers hustled off the train, followed by a new group climbing aboard to take their seats. After stretching our legs for a few minutes to walk around the platform, the conductor's voice came over the loudspeaker announcing, "All aboard!" We hustled back onto the car and grabbed our seats by the篇5A Day in the Life of an Elementary SchoolerHello there! My name is Emily and I'm 10 years old. I'm in the 5th grade at Oakwood Elementary School. Today I want to tellyou all about a typical day in my life as an elementary student. It's a pretty busy schedule but I have a lot of fun!My day starts bright and early at 6:30am when my mom comes into my bedroom to wake me up. "Rise and shine sleepyhead! Time to get ready for school," she says in a singsong voice as she opens the curtains. I groan and pull the covers over my head - I'm definitely not a morning person! But mom persists until I finally drag myself out of my warm, cozy bed. After getting dressed in my school uniform of a polo shirt, pants, and sneakers, I head to the kitchen for breakfast. My favorite is waffles or pancakes, but today we're having eggs, toast, and orange juice. My little brother Timmy is already at the table making a mess as usual. "Don't forget your lunch money!" mom reminds me as I'm heading out the door with my backpack. The school bus picks me up at 7:45am on the corner of our street. I wave goodbye to mom and take a seat towards the back next to my best friend Sarah. We chat and giggle about whatever crosses our 10-year-old minds as the bus goes from stop to stop collecting more students. We arrive at Oakwood Elementary right at 8:15am, just in time for the first bell to ring. Sarah and I say goodbye and head to our different homeroom classes. My teacher Mrs. Thompson isreally nice. She has brown hair tied back in a ponytail and always wears fun, colorful dresses."Good morning class! I hope you all had a wonderful evening," she says in a cheerful voice after we've all found our seats. We start our day with the Pledge of Allegiance and then Mrs. Thompson goes over the schedule written on the whiteboard.First up is math - my favorite subject! We've been learning about fractions and decimals. I raise my hand to work out a problem on the board, showing off how I can convert 1/2 into 0.5. Next is spelling where we have a quiz on words with a silent 'b' like bomb, crumb, and climb. Ugh, I mix up a couple of those. Before we know it, it's time for recess at 10am! I rush outside to the playground and spend most of the half hour jumping rope and playing tetherball with Sarah and our other friends. Recess is my favorite part of the day - it's so fun to run around and let off some energy. After recess, we have a reading lesson going over vowel sounds using our New Concept English books. Mrs. Thompson calls on me to read a passage out loud, sounding out words like "beau-ti-ful" and "con-gra-tu-late." I do pretty well except for stumbling over the word "id-i-om."Up next is science where we're learning about the life cycle of plants. We watch an educational video and I take careful notes, documenting the different stages like germination, growth, pollination, and seed spreading. I volunteer to water the potted plants we have growing on the windowsill. Science is my second favorite subject after math. Finally, it's time for lunch at 11:30am! The lunchroom is a chaotic place filled with the sounds of clanking trays and chatter from all the students. I buy a lunch of chicken nuggets, tater tots, a juice box, and an ice cream sandwich for dessert. Sarah and I sit together at a long table catching up on our favorite cartoons and making plans for her upcoming birthday party. After burning off some more energy during outdoor recess, it's time for afternoon classes. Social studies today is reviewing materials for an upcoming test on the 13 American colonies. Our teacher hands out study guides highlighting important facts, dates, and people like John Smith and Miles Standish that we need to know.In between lessons, we have a few minutes of "brain break" time where we stretch, breathe deeply, or listen to quieting instrumental music playing over the classroom speakers. It'smeant to help re-energize us and make us ready to focus for the next subject. The final period of the day is art. We've been working on clay sculptures over the past few weeks and today Mrs. Thompson is showing us how to glaze and paint our finished pieces. I make a colorful vase using bright pinks, greens, and blues. Art class is a nice way to end my day using my creativity and imagination. At last, the final bell rings at 3pm. I gather up my things, say goodbye to Mrs. Thompson, and head outside to find my bus line for the ride home. The bus is even louder and harder to hear over all the voices exhausted from a long day of learning. When I get篇6Here's an essay of about 2,000 words in the voice of an elementary school student, written in English, based on the New Concept English lessons 93 and 94:My Amazing Summer VacationHi! My name is Emma, and I'm going to tell you all about my super fun summer vacation. It was the best summer ever! We did so many cool things, and I can't wait to share them with you.First, we went to my grandma's house in the countryside. It's a really pretty place with lots of trees, flowers, and even a little stream. My grandma has a big garden where she grows all kinds of vegetables like tomatoes, carrots, and cucumbers. She let me help her pick them, and we made a yummy salad for lunch. I love spending time with my grandma because she always tells me interesting stories about when she was a kid. After a few days at grandma's, we went camping in the mountains. We had to pack everything we needed into our backpacks - sleeping bags, tents, food, and lots of water. The hike up the mountain was kind of hard, but I felt so proud when we finally made it to our campsite. We set up our tents and then went exploring in the woods. We saw squirrels, birds, and even a deer! That night, we made s'mores over the campfire and looked at all the bright stars in the sky. It was magical! The next day, we went fishing in the lake near our campsite. My dad taught me how to put the worm on the hook and cast the line into the water. It took a while, but I finally caught a tiny fish! We decided to let it go, though. We had packed plenty of snacks, so we didn't need to eat the fish. After fishing, we went swimming in the cool, clear lake water. It felt so refreshing on that hot summer day. When we got home from our camping trip, we only had a few days before I had to start getting ready for the new school year. My parents took me shopping for new clothes, backpacks, and school supplies. I got these really cool animal-shaped erasers that I can't wait to use. I also got a new lunchbox with my favorite cartoon characters on it. Even though I was sad that summer was almost over, I was excited to see my friends and learn new things in my new grade. The last fun thing we did that summer was go to the county fair. There were so many rides - a Ferris wheel, rollercoasters, bumper cars, you name it! We went on the Tilt-a-Whirl, which spun us around in circles until we felt dizzy. I also played some games and won a giant teddy bear that's almost as big as me. We ate lots of fun fair food like cotton candy, caramel apples, and my favorite - funnel cakes covered in powdered sugar. Yum!At the end of the night, we watched the most amazing fireworks show. The fireworks exploded into bright colors of red, blue, green, and purple in the night sky. Some of them even made shapes like smiley faces and stars. It was the perfect ending to my amazing summer! Now summer is over, and I'm back in school. I'll always remember the fun times I had with my family, though. We madeso many great memories going on adventures, being out in nature, and just spending time together. I can't wait until next summer so we can make even more amazing memories!。

无论怎样重视“独立结构”的用法,或用各种奇特有趣的方法“曲线救国”,都不如在《新概念》的课堂中和老师一起感悟它在英语语言中的妙用。
再比如“虚拟语气的倒装”,也是书面英语中常见语法现象。
在《新概念》第三册第四十二课有这样一句话:
The cave might never have been discovered had not the entrance been spotted by the distinguished French pot-holer, Berger.
如果没有良好的语法基础,英语学习者是难以发现这句话中出现了“省略所倒装的虚拟语气”。
如果我们把句子改写成如下形式:The cave might never have been discovered if the entrance had not been spotted by the distinguished French pot-holer, Berger.
There is always hope that in its labyrinth of musty, dark, disordered rooms a real rarity will be found amongst piles
of assorted junk that litter the floor.
该句是由两个that引导的从句,分别充当hope的同位语从句和piles of assorted junk 的定语从句。
第一个由that引起的同位语从句,是由一段地点状语“in its labyrinth of musty, dark, disordered rooms”来展开全句的,其主句的语态是一个由a real rarity 做主语的被动语态。
全句可以翻译如下:人们还常常幻想在发霉、阴暗、无序的迷宫般店堂里,从杂乱地堆放在地面上的、各式各样的垃圾中淘到一件稀世珍品。
第四十九课也有一个很有特点的句子,它是这样写的:Though my aunt pursued what was, in those days, an enlightened policy, in that she never allowed her domestic staff to work more than eight hours a day, she was
extremely difficult to please.
句子开头为Though引起的状语,动词pursue的宾语是一个由what引起的名词性从句,在插入了一个非常书面的in that(意思相当于since)引起的从句之后,终于出现了主句she was extremely difficult to please。
这种一步步将句子意思推向高潮的写法就是英文中非常有气势的“圆周句”,直到句子的末尾,作者最终的意思才被揭晓。
全句可以这样理解:“(尽管)姑妈对待佣人们的做法在当时那个年代算是开明的,(因为她)从不让佣人们每天干活超过8个小时,但佣人们还是很难让她感到满意。
”
托福阅读文章中曾出现过一个典型的长句。
其难度更胜GRE:In everyday life, people
tend to have a different approach to those they consider their equals from that which they assume with people they consider higher or lower than themselves in the
social scale.
句子的主干为people tend to have a different approach from that,其中that为代词,指代approach,此处译为“方式”最为贴切,因此主干的意思很简单:“人们倾向
于采用一种方式,与其它方式不同。
”
代词that后紧跟which引导的从句充当that,即the approach的定语。
此外,句中还有两个省略了whom的定语从句,将之补全如下:
In everyday life, people tend to have a different approach to those (whom) they consider their equals from that which they assume with people (whom) they consider higher or lower than themselves in the social scale.
