Lead Forming⏹ During lead formation, the leads should be bent at a point at least 3mm from the base of the epoxy bulb.⏹ Lead forming should be done before soldering.⏹ Avoid stressing the LED package during leads forming. The stress to the base may damage the LED’s characteristics or it may break the LEDs.⏹ Cut the LED lead frames at room temperature. Cutting the lead frames at high temperatures may cause failure of the LEDs. ⏹When mounting the LEDs onto a PCB, the PCB holes must be aligned exactly with the lead position of the LED. If the LEDs are mounted with stress at the leads, it causes deterioration of the epoxy resin and this will degrade the LEDs.2. Storage ⏹ The LEDs should be stored at 30°C or less and 70%RH or less after being shipped from Everlight and the storage life limitsare 3 months. If the LEDs are stored for 3 months or more, they can be stored for a year in a sealed container with a nitrogen atmosphere and moisture absorbent material. ⏹Please avoid rapid transitions in ambient temperature, especially, in high humidity environments where condensation can occur.3. Soldering ⏹ Careful attention should be paid during soldering. When soldering, leave more then 3mm from solder joint to epoxy bulb, and soldering beyond the base of the tie bar is recommended. ⏹Recommended soldering conditions:⏹⏹ Avoiding applying any stress to the lead frame while the LEDs are at high temperature particularly when soldering. ⏹ Dip and hand soldering should not be done more than one time⏹ After soldering the LEDs, the epoxy bulb should be protected from mechanical shock or vibration until the LEDs return to room temperature.⏹A rapid-rate process is not recommended for cooling the LEDs down from the peak temperature.⏹Although the recommended soldering conditions are specified in the above table, dip or hand soldering at the lowestpossible temperature is desirable for the LEDs.⏹Wave soldering parameter must be set and maintain according to recommended temperature and dwell time in the solderwave.4. Cleaning⏹When necessary, cleaning should occur only with isopropyl alcohol at room temperature for a duration of no more thanone minute. Dry at room temperature before use.⏹Do not clean the LEDs by the ultrasonic. When it is absolutely necessary, the influence of ultrasonic cleaning on the LEDsdepends on factors such as ultrasonic power and the assembled condition. Ultrasonic cleaning shall be pre-qualified to ensure this will not cause damage to the LED5. Heat Management⏹Heat management of LEDs must be taken into consideration during the design stage of LED application. The currentshould be de-rated appropriately by referring to the de-rating curve found in each product specification.⏹The temperature surrounding the LED in the application should be controlled. Please refer to the data sheet de-ratingcurve.6. ESD (Electrostatic Discharge)⏹The products are sensitive to static electricity or surge voltage. ESD can damage a die and its reliability. When handling the products, the following measures against electrostatic discharge are stronglyrecommended:Eliminating the chargeGrounded wrist strap, ESD footwear, clothes, and floorsGrounded workstation equipment and toolsESD table/shelf mat made of conductive materials⏹Proper grounding is required for all devices, equipment, and machinery used in product assembly.Surge protection should be considered when designing of commercial products.⏹If tools or equipment contain insulating materials such as glass or plastic, the following measures against electrostatic discharge are strongly recommended:Dissipating static charge with conductive materialsPreventing charge generation with moistureNeutralizing the charge with ionizers7. Directions for use⏹The LEDs should be operated with forward bias. The driving circuit must be designed so that the LEDs are not subjectedto forward or reverse voltage while it is off. If reverse voltage is continuously applied to the LEDs, it may cause migration resulting in LED damage.8. Other⏹Above specification may be changed without notice. EVERLIGHT will reserve authority on material change for abovespecification.⏹When using this product, please observe the absolute maximum ratings and the instructions for using outlined in thesespecification sheets.

PW2052GENERAL DESCRIPTIONThe PW2052 is a high efficiency, high frequency synchronous DC-DC step-down regulator. The 100% duty cycle feature provides low dropout operation, extending battery life in portable systems. The internal synchronous switch increases efficiency and eliminates the need for external Schottky diode. At shutdown mode, the input supply current is less than 1µA. The current limit protection and on-chip thermal shutdown features provide protection against any combination of overload or ambient temperature.FEATURES● Low RDS(ON) for Internal Switch(Top/Bottom): 180/100mΩ● 2.5V~5.5V Input Voltage Range ● 2A Output Current● 1MHz Switching Frequency Minimizes the● External Components● Internal Soft-Start Limits the Inrush Current ● Internal Compensation Function ● 100% Dropout Operation● RoHS Compliant and Halogen Free ●SOT-23-5 PackagesAPPLICATIONS● Set Top Box ● LCD TV ● Tablet● Portable EquipmentTYPICAL APPLICATION CIRCUIT深圳夸克微科技The device’s performance and stability are dramatically affected by PCB layout. It is recommended to follow these general guidelines shown as below:1. Place the input capacitors and output capacitors as close to the device as possible. The traces which connect to these capacitors should be as short and wide as possible to minimize parasitic inductance and resistance.2. Place feedback resistors close to the FB pin.3. It has integrated high-side (180mΩ, typ) and low-side (100mΩ, typ) power switches, and provides 2A continuous load current. It regulates input voltage from 2.5V to 5.5V, and down to an output voltage as low as 0.6VControl LoopSlope compensated current mode PWM control provides stable switching and cycle-by-cycle current limit for superior load, line response, protection of the internal main switch and synchronous rectifier. The PW2052 switches at a constant frequency (1MHz) and regulates the output voltage. I OUT =0A20ms/div I OUT =2A1μs/div I LX 200mA/div. V OUT 20mV/div. V LX 2V/div. I LX 1A/div.V LX 2V/div. During normal operation, the main switch is turned on for a certain time to ramp the inductor current at each rising edge of the internal oscillator, and switched off when the peak inductor current is above the error voltage. When the main switch is off, the synchronous rectifier will be turned on immediately and stay on until next cycle starts.EnableThe PW2052 CE pin provides digital control to turn on/off the regulator. When the voltage of CE exceeds the threshold voltage, the regulator will start the soft start function. If the CE pin voltage is below the shutdown threshold voltage, the regulator will turn into the shutdown mode and the shutdown current will be smaller than 1μA. For auto start-up operation, connect CE to VIN.Soft-StartThe PW2052 employs internal soft-start function to reduce input inrush current during start up. Theinternal soft start time will be 1ms.Under Voltage LockoutWhen the PW2052 is power on, the internal circuits will be held inactive until VIN voltage exceeds the UVLO threshold voltage. And the regulator will be disabled when VIN is below the UVLO threshold voltage. The hysteretic of the UVLO comparator is 200mV (typ).Short Circuit ProtectionThe PW2052 provides short circuit protection function to prevent the device damaged from short condition. When the short condition occurs and the feedback voltage drops lower than 40% of the regulation level, this will activate the latch protection circuit. Then output will be forced shutdown to prevent the inductor current runaway and to reduce the power dissipation within the IC under true short circuit conditions. Once the short condition is removed, reset EN or VIN to restart IC.Over Current ProtectionThe PW2052 over current protection function is implemented by using cycle-by-cycle current limit architecture. The inductor current is monitored by measuring the high-side MOSFET series sense resistor voltage. When the load current increases, the inductor current will also increase. When the peak inductor current reaches the current limit threshold, the output voltage will start to drop. When the over current condition is removed, the output voltage will return to the regulated value.Over Temperature ProtectionThe PW2051 incorporates an over temperature protection circuit to protect itself from overheating. When the junction temperature exceeds the thermal shutdown threshold temperature, the regulator will be shutdown. And the hysteretic of the over temperature protection is 30°C (typ).PW2052Output Voltage SettingThe output voltage VOUT is set by using a resistive divider from the output to FB. The FB pin regulated voltage is 0.6V. Thus the output voltage is:1+12∗0.6 =Input Capacitor SelectionThe use of the input capacitor is filtering the input voltage ripple and the MOSFETS switching spike voltage. Because the input current to the step-down converter is discontinuous, the input capacitor is required to supply the current to the converter to keep the DC input voltage. The capacitor voltage rating should be 1.25 to 1.5 times greater than the maximum input voltage. The input capacitor ripple current RMS value is calculated as:Where D is the duty cycle of the power MOSFET. This function reaches the maximum value at D=0.5 and the equivalent RMS current is equal to IOUT/2. The following diagram is the graphical representation of above equation.A low ESR capacitor is required to keep the noise minimum. Ceramic capacitors are better, but tantalum or low ESR electrolytic capacitors may also suffice.Output Capacitor SelectionThe output capacitor is used to keep the DC output voltage and supply the load transient current. When operating in constant current mode, the output ripple is determined by four components:The following figures show the form of the ripple contributions.( MS)0.20.4 0.6 0.811.210 20 30 40 50 60 70 80 90I I N (R M S ) (A )D (%)0.5A 1A 2A PPL t PPL C t PPL S tPPL ( SL) tS tWhere FOSC is the switching frequency, L is the inductance value, VIN is the input voltage, ESR is theequivalent series resistance value of the output capacitor, ESL is the equivalent series inductance value of the output capacitor and the COUT is the output capacitor.Low ESR capacitors are preferred to use. Ceramic, tantalum or low ESR electrolytic capacitors can be used depending on the output ripple requirements. When using the ceramic capacitors, the ESL component is usually negligible. It is important to use the proper method to eliminate high frequency noise when measuring the output ripple. The figure shows how to locate the probe across the capacitor when measuring output ripple. Remove the scope probe plastic jacket in order to expose the ground at the tip of the probe.Inductor SelectionThe output inductor is used for storing energy and filtering output ripple current. But the trade-off condition often happens between maximum energy storage and the physical size of the inductor. The first consideration for selecting the output inductor is to make sure that the inductance is large enough to keep the converter in the continuous current mode.V RIPPLE(ESR)(t)+V RIPPLE(ESL) (t)+(t)V RIPPLE(C) (t)(t)(t)V NOISE (t)=V RIPPLE (t)(t)PPL ( S ) F SC LS PPL ( SL) SLL SLPPL (C)F SC L CThat will lower ripple current and result in lower output ripple voltage. The Δ L is inductor peak-to-peak ripple current:The following diagram is an example to graphically represent Δ IL equation.A good compromise value between size and efficiency is to set the peak-to-peak inductor ripple current Δ IL equal to 30% of the maximum load current. But setting the peak-to-peak inductor ripple current ΔIL between 20%~50% of the maximum load current is also acceptable. Then the inductance can be calculated with the following equation:To guarantee sufficient output current, peak inductor current must be lower than the PW2052 high -side MOSFET current limit. The peak inductor current is shown as below:L F SC LV OUT =1.2V, F OSC =1MHz0.10.2 0.30.40.5 0.60.70.8 0.92.5 33.5 44.5 55.5ΔI L (A )V IN (V)L=2.2μH L=1.2μH L=1.5μH L (MA ) L F SC LP A (MA )LTimeOUT(MAX)capacitor C1 can be calculated with the following equation:Where FCROSS is the cross frequency. To reduce transient ripple, the feedforward capacitor value can be increased to push the cross frequency to higher region. Although this can improve transient response, it also decreases phase margin and causes more ringing. In the other hand, if more phase margin is desired, the feedforward capacitor value can be decreased to push the cross frequency to lower region. In general, the feedforward capacitor range is between 10pF to 330pF.For optimizing the feedforward capacitor, knowing the cross frequency is the first thing. The cross frequency (or the converter bandwidth) can be determined by using a network analyzer. When getting the cross frequency with no feedforward capacitor identified, the value of feedforwardInternal compensation function allows users saving time in design and saving cost by reducing the number of external components. The use of a feedforward capacitor C1 in the feedback network is recommended to improve transient response or higher phase margin.CFC SSSOT23-5L。
