一、教学内容
人民教育出版社PEP，小学英语三年级下册，第三单元第一课时，Part ALet’s learn、Let’s do.
二、教学目标
1、知识目标
a.能够听说认读本课时的主要单词：thin, fat, tall, short.，并在句型Look at that…It’s…中灵活运用。

b.能够理解听懂Let’s do 部分内容。

2、能力目标
a.能够简单的描述动物的特征，如：look at that monkey! It’s thin.
b.能够听懂指示语，按照指令做出相应的动作，如，Be thin, be thin, be thin thin thin.
3、情感目标
a.教育学生热爱动物，保护动物。

b.培养学生在动物园中良好的行为习惯。

三、教学重点与难点
重点：掌握并正确运用所学形容词，thin, fat, tall, short，并在句型Look at that…It’s…中灵活运用。

难点：thin的正确发音。

五、教学过程
Step I:热身复习(Warm-up/Revision)
Review the words about animals.
2.enjoy a song“At the zoo”
Step II: 新知呈现(Presentation)
1. Show a new friend to students to lead out a giraffe, then teach “tall”.
2. Teach “short”.
a. Show two giraffes using the CAI.
One is tall, the other one is short.
b. Compare the two words and practice them in the sentence.
3. Teach “fat”and “thin”
a. Show two monkeys to lead out the two words “fat”and “thin”.
b. Practice the word “fat”using the sentence patterns: Look at that monkey! It’s fat.
c. Do the actions about “fat”.
d. Teach “thin”in the same way.

Step IV Consolidation/Extension
1．课件展示：Animals are our good friends. Please love them. 告诉学生：动物是我们的好朋友。

请爱护它们！
