The Chinese Martial Arts, commonly known as Kung Fu, can trace its origin back to the needs of self-defense, hunting and ancient Chinese military training. Being one of the traditional Chinese physical activities, it can be practiced by both the young and the old. It has gradually evolved into a distinct element of Chinese culture. As a Chinese national treasure, Kung Fu has hundreds of different styles and is the most practiced form of martial arts in the world. Some of its styles imitate the motions of animals, while some are inspired by Chinese philosophies, myths and legends.
