My Awesome Summer Vacation

Hi there! My name is Xiaoming and I'm 10 years old. I just finished 4th grade and I had the best summer vacation ever! I went on so many fun adventures with my family. First, we went to visit my grandparents in their village for a few weeks.

Grandma and Grandpa live in a small village out in the countryside. Their house is super old but really cool. It has a courtyard in the middle with fruit trees growing all around. My favorite trees are the loquat and pomegranate trees. I love climbing up and picking the ripe fruits right off the branches when they're in season!

I got to run around outside all day playing with my cousins and the neighborhood kids. We played so many games like hide and seek, jumping rope, kicking a ball around, and chasing each other through the fields. Sometimes we'd splash around in the stream that runs behind my grandparents' house too. The water was really refreshing on those hot summer days.
