我想要帮助无家可归的人们英语作文

我想要帮助无家可归的人们英语作文I Want to Help Homeless PeopleHi, my name is Jamie and I'm 10 years old. I go to Oakwood Elementary School and I'm in 5th grade. My favorite subjects are art and reading, but I also really like learning about science and doing experiments. When I grow up, I'm not totally sure what I want to be yet. Maybe a teacher, or a scientist, or an artist. But one thing I do know is that I want to help homeless people. You've probably seen homeless people before when walking around the city or downtown areas. They are the men, women, and sometimes even kids who live on the streets because they don't have a home to live in. Usually they wear old, dirty clothes and they carry around all their belongings in bags or shopping carts. During the day, you might see them asking people for spare change so they can get something to eat. And at night, they sleep outside on park benches, in alleyways, under bridges, or in homeless shelters if they're lucky. It makes me really sad to see homeless people living like that. Having a safe home to live in is something that all people need. It's a basic human right that everyone deserves, no matter who they are or what their situation is. A home gives you warmth, protection, and privacy. It's a place to keep your belongings, to shower and use the bathroom, to cook meals, and to simply exist without having to constantly worry about finding somewhere to sleep or stay dry.But homeless people don't have that. Instead, they have to spend every single day and night outside in the harsh elements, whether it's freezing cold, blazing hot, raining, or snowing. They don't have a real bathroom they can use, so they have to go to the bathroom outside wherever they can. They often can't bathe or wash their clothes regularly. Finding food and water is always a struggle. And they live in constant fear of being robbed, assaulted, or arrested just for trying to survive. That's no way for any human being to have to live. Humans need shelter just like we need air, food and water to survive. Not having a home makes everything in life much harder and more dangerous. It's easy for homeless people to get very sick from being exposed to the cold, heat, and bad weather for too long. A lot of times, homeless people sadly die from things like hypothermia, heat stroke, infections from untreated injuries, or violence from being attacked. Their life expectancy is much lower than people who have homes. Some people think that homeless people are just lazy or irresponsible, and that it's their own fault they ended up on the streets. But that's not true at all! There are tons of different reasons why people become homeless. Sometimes, they've lost their job and couldn't pay their rent, so their landlord kicked them out. Some people struggle with mental health issues or addictions that made it hard to keep a home. Others had to flee domestic violence from an abusive spouse. Kids and teenagers can end up homeless too if their parents die, abandon them, or kick them out of the home. And unfortunately, a lot of homeless people are military veterans who fell on hard times after serving our country. No matter what the reason is, being homeless doesn't make you a bad person at all. It just means you're going through an incredibly difficult, tragic situation in life. We should have way more compassion, empathy and kindness for the homeless instead of judging them. Just because they're struggling doesn't mean they're not human beings who deserve to be treated with dignity and respect like anyone else. If any of us fell on hard times too, we could end up homeless as well - it can literally happen to anyone. So we should feel grateful for the homes we have, and want to help those without homes however we can. That's why I really want to do something to help homeless people when I get older. It breaks my heart driving around the city and seeing homeless people huddled on the streets in the cold and rain. Everyone should have access to basic shelter, food, clean water and safety. I can't even imagine how hard it must be to be homeless, having to constantly worry about where you'll get your next meal from or where you'll sleep that night without getting rained or snowed on. It would be absolutely horrible. There are a few different things I'd like to do to help homeless people. First, I want to volunteer my time at homeless shelters and food kitchens when I'm old enough. I could help cook and serve meals, hand out blankets and clothing donations, and provide basic first aid and care to those in need. Spending time with the homeless and learning about their stories could help me better understand the issue.I'd also love to work with charities and non-profit organizations that built affordable housing units or transitional living facilities for the homeless. These places give the homeless a safe, stable place to stay temporarily while also providing job training, counseling, drug rehabilitation and other services to help get them back on their feet. Helping construct these housing facilities with my own hands and doing things likepainting, landscaping and repairs would allow me to directly provide shelter for homeless people.Additionally, I want to use my voice and talents to raise awareness about homelessness when I'm older. Whether through writing, public speaking, making videos or artwork, or something else creative, I'd love to share stories about real homeless people and educate others on the reality of the homeless crisis. So many people misunderstand homelessness or have stereotypes about it being a personal choice or flaw. We need to change that mindset and create more empathy. I could advocate for affordable housing policies, better funding for shelters and services, job programs to help the homelessre-enter the workforce, mental health support, addiction counseling, domestic violence assistance, and other changes to truly address the root causes of homelessness.Just doing small acts like donating unused clothing, blankets, canned food or money to homeless shelters and organizations would help tremendously too. Even something as simple as keeping cheap snacks, bottles of water or spare change in my car to kindly hand out to any homeless people I see on the streets could make a big difference in someone's day.I know that homelessness is a huge, complex issue and I can't solve it all by myself. But I don't want to just ignore it either. Even if I can only directly help and impact the lives of a few homeless individuals through volunteering and charity work, that's still incredibly meaningful. At the very least, I hope I can inspire more people to have empathy and take action to address the homelessness crisis in whatever way they can too.Every human being deserves to have a safe, stable place to call home where they can be sheltered from the elements and dangers of the streets. Having a roof over your head and a door to close at night is a basic necessity for survival and wellbeing - not a privilege that some people don't deserve or can't have access to. I'm determined to spend parts of my life, career and resources striving to help homeless people regain their dignity, autonomy, and housing as much as I possibly can. Because at the end of the day, the homeless are just like me and you - they're human beings in need of compassion, kindness and a helping hand to get back on their feet.。

无家可归的人英文作文初中英文:Being homeless is a tough and challenging experience. It means not having a place to call home, not having a roof over your head, and not having a sense of stability. As a homeless person, I have to constantly worry about where I will sleep, where I will get my next meal, and how I will survive. One of the biggest challenges of being homeless is the lack of support and resources. Many people view homeless individuals as lazy or as people who brought theirsituation upon themselves. However, this is far from the truth. Homelessness can happen to anyone, regardless of their background or circumstances.Another challenge is the lack of access to basic necessities such as hygiene products, clean clothing, and medical care. These things may seem small, but they canmake a huge difference in a homeless person's life. Without access to these resources, it can be difficult to maintain a sense of dignity and self-worth.Despite the challenges, there are also moments of kindness and hope. I have met many kind-hearted individuals who have offered me food, clothing, and even a place to stay. These acts of kindness have restored my faith in humanity and have given me hope for a better future.Overall, being homeless is a difficult and complex experience. It is important for society to recognize the humanity of homeless individuals and to provide them with the support and resources they need to get back on their feet.中文:无家可归是一种艰难而具有挑战性的经历。

八年级下册英语作文学生应该帮忙做家务

八年级下册英语作文学生应该帮忙做家务全文共3篇示例,供读者参考篇1Why Students Should Pitch In and Help with ChoresHey friends! Let me start by saying that I totally get it - chores can be such a drag. Who actually enjoys cleaning their room, taking out the trash, or doing loads of laundry? Not me, that's for sure. But hear me out, because I've come to realize that pitching in and helping out with household chores is something all us students should be doing. It makes sense when you really think about it. Our parents work super hard, day in and day out, to provide for the family. Whether it's going to their jobs, running errands, paying bills, or cooking meals, they've got a ton of responsibilities. The least we can do as their kids is lend a hand around the house. It's only fair, right?Besides, helping out with chores is actually good for us. No, seriously! Doing tasks like vacuuming, dusting, and washing dishes teaches important life skills. One day, we'll all be living on our own, and we'll need to know how to keep our homes cleanand manage our households. We might as well start learning and practicing those skills now while we're still under our parents' roofs.Chores also teach discipline and responsibility. Having set tasks that need to get done, whether we feel like it or not, builds good habits. It shows we can follow through on commitments and be accountable. Potential employers, teachers, and anyone else looks for those kinds of qualities. So in a way, doing chores helps prepare us for future success! What's more, pitching in at home can bring families closer together. It sets a good example of teamwork and cooperation. When everyone contributes what they can, the workload feels lighter. Resentment and stress levels stay lower too. We're all in this together as a family unit, right? Chores are just one way we can pitch in and show we're there for each other. Now, I'm definitely not saying chores are fun and games. Sometimes they straight up stink (taking out the trash on a hot summer day - yuck!). And yeah, there are times when we'd much rather be hanging with friends or gaming instead. But look at it this way - the sooner we power through and get our chores done, the sooner we can enjoy our free time without that looming overhead.Procrastinating on chores also leads to them piling up even more, making the tasks way more daunting. It's best to just dive in and tackle those must-do household jobs bit by bit. Break big tasks down into smaller steps. Maybe my parents can make a chore chart or schedule to make it feel more organized and distributed fairly. At the end of the day, we've got to be responsible and pull our weight around the house, even if chores aren't our top pick for fun. Our parents sacrifice so much for us already. The least we can do is share household duties and work together to keep the home comfortable and running smoothly. It's all part of growing up and showing we can be mature, helpful members of the family. So next time you get that impulse to whine or make excuses about chores, stop and think. Our parents have a lot going on. A little bit of chipping in really does go a long way to making their lives easier. And who knows, maybe we'll even pick up some handy adulting skills and qualities along the way that'll help us out big time down the road.At the end of the day, pitching in with chores is something we all need to get on board with. Our families and our own personal growth depend on it! We've got this, guys. Let's all doour part and be helpful, proactive, responsible kids. Our parents will appreciate it so much, our bonds will be stronger, and we'll become a little bit more prepared for tackling life's responsibilities head on.篇2Why Students Should Help With Chores At HomeHi there! My name is Billy and I'm in 8th grade. Today I want to talk to you about why I think it's really important for kids my age to help out around the house with chores and household tasks. I know, I know - chores aren't exactly the most fun or exciting thing in the world. Believe me, I'd way rather be playing video games or hanging out with my friends. But hear me out, because I've learned that pitching in at home actually has a ton of benefits for kids like me.First off, doing chores teaches you to be responsible. Our parents work really hard all day, so the least we can do is lend a hand at home. Plus, the house doesn't magically clean itself! Taking ownership of basic tasks like loading the dishwasher, folding laundry, or taking out the trash shows our parents that we respect them and want to pull our weight around the house. It feels good to help out.Chores also teach us valuable skills that we'll need as adults one day. Cooking meals helps you learn to follow instructions and get comfortable in the kitchen. Doing yard work like mowing the lawn or raking leaves builds discipline and a strong work ethic. Even making your bed in the morning instills a sense of tidiness and self-sufficiency. All of these little things add up over time.I'll admit that I used to absolutely hate chores when I was younger. Whenever my mom asked me to load the dishwasher, I'd groan and drag my feet, hoping she'd forget about it. Vacuuming my room felt like torture! But as I've gotten older,I've realized that taking on a few basic responsibilities at home really isn't that big of a deal. In fact, it makes me feel more mature and grown-up.My parents have been smart about easing me into chores over the years too. When I was really little, they started me off with simple things like feeding our dog or putting away my toys and books when I was done using them. As I got older, the tasks got a bit harder – things like cleaning my bathroom, cooking a simple meal once a week, or washing my own laundry. Now that I'm in 8th grade, I've gotten used to a pretty standard set ofweekly chores. And you know what? It's become routine and second nature at this point.Another big benefit of doing chores is that they teach you how to manage your time wisely. Between school, homework, sports, and activities, kids today have a lot on their plates. Adding chores into the mix forces you to plan ahead and budget your time efficiently. It's a killer skill to have once you get to high school, college, and eventually the working world. Believe me, learning time management skills now will pay off huge in the future.I also think it's important for kids to help out because it shows we're part of a family team. My parents both workfull-time jobs, so I try to think of my contributions around the house as my job too. We're all in this together, working as a unit to keep our household running smoothly. Maybe I'm just being cheesy, but it makes me feel closer to my family when I'm pitching in.And can I be really honest for a second? Doing chores at home makes you appreciate all your parents do for you. It's easy to take having a roof over your head, food on the table, and clean clothes for granted when you're a kid. But hauling load after load of laundry up and down the stairs gives you a tiny tasteof how exhausting it can be to manage a whole household of people. Makes you realize Mom and Dad aren't just sitting around eating bonbons all day!I'm sure some of you are thinking - doesn't doing chores cut into free time and fun as a kid? And yeah, I can't argue with that. There have definitely been times when I've had to skip hanging out with friends because I needed to finish my chores first. Or times when I've had to put down the Xbox controller to go fold that towering pile of clean laundry. It can be a bummer in the moment. But in the long run, doing chores really doesn't take up that much time. Maybe an hour or two of your week tops. And the benefits - learning responsibility, time management,self-sufficiency, and respect for your parents - are so worth it. Those are skills that'll take you so much farther in life than another hour of gaming or watching YouTube videos. At the end of the day, doing age-appropriate chores is just part of being a kid and a member of a family unit. It's really no different than having responsibilities at school with homework and assignments. You've just got to buckle down, get it done, and take pride in a job well done.So to all my fellow middle schoolers out there - don't groan the next time your parents put you on chore duty! See it as an opportunity to step up and show you're becoming a mature, productive member of your family. You're building skills and developing traits that'll serve you well down the line. Plus, your parents will be so proud of you!And who knows - doing chores now could pay off in the form of bigger allowances or finally getting that gaming system or phone upgrade you've been begging for. Just a thought! Thanks for reading, and happy chore-doing, everyone!篇3Why Students Should Help With Chores at HomeHi there! My name is Jessica and I'm in 8th grade. Today, I want to talk to you about why I think kids like me should be helping out more with chores and responsibilities around the house.I know, I know - chores are super boring and the last thing any of us want to do after a long day at school is come home and do even MORE work. Believe me, I get it! I'd way rather be playing video games, watching YouTube, or just chilling with my friends. Chores feel like such a drag. But hear me out, because I actually think being expected to pitch in at home is really important - not just for our parents, but for our own growth and learning too. Let me explain.First off, doing chores teaches us valuable life skills thatwe're all going to need eventually when we're living on our own as adults. Sure, maybe loading the dishwasher or vacuuming the floor isn't exactly "fun," but it's getting us practiced up for basic adult responsibilities like cleaning up after ourselves and keeping our living spaces neat and tidy.My parents are always saying "We won't be around forever to do this stuff for you!" And they're absolutely right. The sooner I learn how to do laundry, make simple meals, tidy up my room, and all those kinds of basic self-care tasks, the better prepared I'll be for independence down the road.Plus, when we help out around the house, we're learning important qualities like responsibility, time management, and self-discipline. It's too easy as a kid to just have a total "fun now, responsibilities later" mindset. But making chores a mandatory part of our daily routine gets us into good habits early.Chores also teach us to be part of a team and do our fair share. Our families are kind of like little teams, with everyone needing to pull their weight and contribute to keep thingsrunning smoothly. If I just sat around playing Fortnite all day while my mom did literally everything else, that wouldn't be cool or fair at all. Pitching in makes me feel like I'm doing my part.Another big reason I'm actually thankful for having chores is that it gives me a chance to help out my parents and show them some appreciation. They work so hard all day and still have to come home and cook, clean, do laundry, and all that Jazz on top of it. I can't imagine how exhausting and stressful that must be.So when I'm able to check a few little tasks off their massive to-do list, like unloading the dishwasher or taking out the trash, it's like a tiny way of saying "Thank you" and giving them a little break. And trust me, they always seem super grateful and appreciative when I lend a hand without them nagging me about it. It makes me feel good to do something kind for them.I have some friends whose parents literally never expect them to life a single finger around the house. And to be honest, those kids often come across as pretty entitled, lazy, and having zero consideration for their parents' workload. Not a great look if you ask me!At the end of the day, having designated chores really isn't that big of a deal. It's not like my parents are asking me to work12 hours a day in a factory or something! We're just talking about simple stuff like:Keeping my room clean and making my bedHelping out with meal prep or cleaning up after mealsDoing a load of laundry once a weekTaking out the trash and recyclingFeeding/caring for pets if we have anyLight cleaning like vacuuming, dusting, etc.None of this is brain surgery. It's just basic day-to-day stuff that has to get done anyway, so why shouldn't I be contributing and learning a little responsibility? Now, obviously chores shouldn't take over our whole lives or prevent us from having decent free time to be kids and relax. That would be taking things way too far. But an hour or so per day of pitching in isn't too much to ask in my opinion. It's all about finding a balanced schedule. The way I see it, doing chores is a small price to pay for all the ways our parents support us - giving us a safe home, feeding us, providing for us financially, shuttling us around to activities, and everything else. When you think of it that way, beingexpected to lift a finger around the house doesn't seem like that big of an ask!So there you have it - those are all the reasons why I believe us students really should be pulling our weight more and taking on reasonable household responsibilities. At the end of the day, chores may be annoying sometimes, but they're teaching us so many valuable life lessons about being responsible, considerate, disciplined, and self-sufficient humans. And who knows, doing chores might even bring families closer together as everyone works as a team. I actually kind of enjoy some of my chores, like walking the dog or doing yard work outside. It can be weirdly satisfying to check tasks off the list.So parents, go ahead and put us to work! We may whine and groan at first, but deep down, a lot of us appreciate you raising us to be helpful and productive members of the household. Just don't go too overboard, okay? We're still kids after all!。

停止不开心的英文作文英文:Feeling down and unhappy is something we all experience from time to time. But dwelling in that state for too long can be detrimental to our mental and emotional well-being. So, how do we stop being unhappy? Here are some strategies I find helpful:1. Count Your Blessings: Sometimes, when we're feeling low, we tend to focus on what's going wrong in our lives. Instead, try shifting your focus to what's going right. Take a moment to appreciate the things you're grateful for. It could be as simple as having a roof over your head, food to eat, or friends who care about you. Gratitude can work wonders in changing your perspective.2. Engage in Activities You Enjoy: Doing things that bring you joy can help lift your spirits. Whether it's painting, playing a musical instrument, or going for a walkin nature, find activities that make you feel good. Engaging in hobbies can provide a sense of fulfillment and distract you from negative thoughts.3. Connect with Others: Reach out to friends or family members and spend quality time with them. Social support is crucial for our emotional well-being. Talking to someone you trust about how you're feeling can lighten the burden and offer new perspectives. Remember, you're not alone in this.4. Practice Self-Care: Taking care of yourself is essential, both physically and mentally. Make sure you're getting enough rest, eating nourishing foods, and exercising regularly. Additionally, practice self-compassion by being kind to yourself. Treat yourself with the same love and understanding you would offer to a friend in need.5. Set Realistic Goals: Sometimes, unhappiness stems from feeling stuck or unfulfilled in certain areas of our lives. Setting achievable goals can give you a sense ofpurpose and direction. Break down larger goals into smaller, manageable tasks, and celebrate your progress along the way. Remember, it's okay to take things one step at a time.6. Limit Negative Influences: Be mindful of the content you consume, whether it's news, social media, or the company you keep. Surround yourself with positivity and avoid dwelling on negativity. Unfollow accounts that make you feel inadequate or stressed, and instead, follow those that inspire and uplift you.7. Seek Professional Help if Needed: If feelings of unhappiness persist despite your efforts, don't hesitate to seek help from a therapist or counselor. They can provide you with the support and guidance you need to navigate through difficult emotions.Remember, it's okay to not be okay sometimes. What matters is how we choose to respond to our feelings of unhappiness. By implementing these strategies and seeking support when necessary, you can take proactive stepstowards a happier and more fulfilling life.中文:停止感到沮丧和不开心是我们都会经历的事情。

A Roof over Your Head
Affordable shelter is one of the most basic human needs, whether home is a
palm-thatched hut, a sturdy structure that protects occupants from the harshest weather — or anything in between. While the diversity of housing around the world is virtually limitless, the desire for home ownership is universal.
Buying a house is the most secure method of acquiring shelter. Holding title to the property and building that houses your family means you cannot be subject to a landlord’s decision to raise rents, convert the property to more expensive housing, or sell outright and demolish your home. Unfortunately, the costs of home ownership are prohibitive for countless millions of families in the developed world.
In Canada, for example, about sixty percent of households own their home; the rest rely mainly on private-sector landlords who set rents according to market demand. Only five percent of Canadian households live in subsidized public housing — housing units owned by the government and rented at below-market rates. As a result, families are the fastest growing group among the homeless in Canada, partly due to government funding cuts to public housing programs in the past decade. For many citizens of even the wealthiest countries, affordable shelter remains an unattainable dream.
