Hazard Analysis of Plate Heat Exchangers
1. Objetive
The Following Hazard Analysis follows the chapters in Annex 1 (Essential Safety Requirements) of the PED (97/23/EC):
1.1General requirements
1.2Design
1.3Manufacturing
1.4Materials
1.5Piping
1.6Specific quantitative requirements
The objective with the analysis is to minimize the risks as far as possible, and where it is not possible to eliminate the risks, define how the user should be warned/informed about the risks.
2. Scope of Application
This Hazard Analysis is made to cover the following types of pressure equipment (which are all pressure vessels):
*Tube Shell Heat Exchangers
*Gasketed Plate Heat Exchangers
*Semi-Welded Plate Heat Exchangers
*All-Welded Plate Heat Exchangers
