My father is a tall man, who is a foreman that supervises others when they are working. My morther is a beautiful lady, who is a shopkeeper that has a small store.For the most part of the year, my father has to work far away from home. And I can only meet him few times except holidays during a year because basically, I am in school and my father is too busy to come back homefrequently. As I have introduced to you, I have a little brother who is only 8 years old, so the burden that my parents bear on their shoulders to bring up our family is much heavier.Being the main breadwinner in ou family, my father has to go to different places to get the work to earn money to support our family. Father once told me that “It’s man’s duty.”I don’t know what it mean because I was young at that moment. But now I can understand it profoundly.“A king realizing his incompetence, can either delegate or abdicate his duties. A father can do neither.”I think the sentence that Marlene Dietrich said is really profound opinion .So, in my opinion, duty is the essential part of a family.Secondly, I think family means protection. When we are in ourchildhood, we used to let our little hand be holdby our parentsand what we need to do was just follow in the footsteps of them happily. We all know that it’s easy for a little child to feel afraid of everything unknown, so we always want to be with their parents. We want them to protect us against anything harmful to us. We know that the place where they stay in is certain to be the safest place.“Feelings of worth can flourish only in an atmosphere where individual differences are appreciated, mistakes are tolerated, communication is open, and rules are flexible—the kind of atmosphere that is found in a nurturing family.”Virginia Stair said.Home is the best place in the world. And Family is the warmest word in the world. They often need conscious effort.Now what should we do for our parents(1) Say the words, ’’I love you’’.Maybe this phrase was not used much in our home, so it could be tough and strange at first. Don’t take it personally. What’s really important is not to have regrets.(2) Make a phone call.Now we leave home to study. We are divided with our family because of distance, but the telephone become a good way to care about our parents. We can tell them everything is OK and don’t worry about us. 家
尊敬的各位老师；
您们好!
我是年级的学生，我叫。
今天很荣幸能够来到这里参加演讲比赛，此时的心情是激动的。
我怀着“重在参与”的目的，来演讲我的参赛标题——Family，中文意思是“家”。
这一个单词在1997版英汉词典中的192页，它的解释是”家“，另外一个出现的地方是CCTV3综艺频道。
就请各位老师和我一起来回顾一下这个简简单单的单词的意义。
这则广告运用拟人的手法生动的将英文字母比喻成家庭成员，其中“f”是爸爸，“m”是妈妈，“i”是我。
小时候，爸爸是家里的顶梁柱。
高大魁梧的爸爸为整个家遮风挡雨。
温柔贤惠的妈妈相夫教子，渐渐地，我长大了。
少不更事的我早已想挣脱爸爸妈妈的拘束，再次顶撞了唠叨的妈妈。
渐渐长大的我体会到了生活的艰辛，这时我发现，“f”的背驼了，“m”的身体也臃肿了，而“i”则在他们的关爱下越来越高、越来越强壮，于是“i”成了父亲贴身的拐杖，是时候来尽一个子女的责任了，用一双手来保护整个家。
做父亲的拐杖，让他有一个肩膀可以依靠。
给母亲撑一把爱心伞，为她遮蔽夏日的骄阳。
“宝贝，快去写作业。
”“知道了！知道了！我马上去。
”“你
今天吃了什么饭，吃饱了吗？”……“明天下雨，别忘了带伞。
”“我知道了！”“别忘了，多加件衣服。
”“我知道了。
你别烦了，还说个没完没了了。
”……
这样的对话经常充斥于我们身边。
风止时，树不静；亲待时，而往往不珍惜。
而故事中处于主角的我们是否在珍惜？
父母的含辛茹苦，换来的只是我们的随意敷衍；父母的千叮万嘱，只求来我们一句“啰嗦烦人”；苦用心，被我们误解为闲人多事。
在成长的道路上，我们见惯了亲人的例子，听惯了孝顺的全解，我们开始嗤之以鼻，感到俗不可耐。
也许你会想，没关系，我们以后长大了再报答父母。
时光流逝，任何人也经不住岁月的磨炼。
也许当你觉得你长大了有能力再报答父母时，他们已经白发苍苍，腰身佝偻甚至已经跨越到了生命的碑前。
他们老了，我们还能孝顺他们的时光还有多久呢？也许他们也不需要这些了。
我们自以为可以回报的恩情却因他们耗尽青春奉献而无法偿还。
有一种爱，一生一世不求回报——那是父母之爱；有两个人，一生一世值得爱——那是父亲母亲。
不要等到父母老时才懂得珍惜。
珍惜现在，你的亲人，你的爱。
我们应该明确地感知，平时父母生我们养我们都非常不容易，他们将我们带到了这个世上，还养育着我们、教育着我们，引导我们走上了正确的道路，我们应该更加珍惜这美好时光。
