定语从句
一．定义：在复合从句中，修饰某一名词或代词的从句叫定语从句定语从句结构：

定语从句：修饰名词或代词的句子。

先行词：被定语从句修饰的名词或代词。

关系词：引导定语从句的词。

二．关系词
引导定语从句的连接词称为关系词（包括“关系代词”“关系副词”）。

关系代词在从句中代表先行词作主语、宾语、定语等；关系副词代表先行词在从句中作状语。

词+whom/which”不能省）。

Have you seen the book （that / which）I gave you yesterday？
考点二：主谓一致

注意：“one of +复数名词”作先行词时，从句谓语动词用复数形式；若是“the only/very/right + one of +复数名词”，从句谓语动词用单数形式。

考点三：特殊情况
(1)“the way” 在定语从句中作__________时的三种引导方式
I don’t agree the way ____________ you told us.
I don’t like the way_______________ you speak to your mother.
The way ____________ he worked out the problem is very simple.
(2)That/This/It +be + the adj. 最高级+n. +(that)从句（现在完成时）
This is the most dangerous situation ______ I have ever met.
Pandas are the cutest animals _______ I have seen.
The most interesting museum ______ I’v ever been to is the American puter Museum.
(3)That/This/It +be + the first/second/third/...+time +(that)从句（现在完成时）
It is the first time ______ I have visited China
注意：只用that的情况
指物只用which的情况
（1）关系词前有介词时，介词+which；（介词锁定）
The world in which we live is so beautiful.
（2）先行词本身为that/those时; （避免重复）
What’s that which was put in the basket?
What are those which were taken away just now?
（3）非限制性定语从句中用which。

She became a homeless woman overnight, which makes me so sad.
指人只用who的情况
（1）先行词为指人的不定代词，如：one; ones; anyone; no one; those等；
Those who have not got your textbooks stand up.
（2）there be 句型中先行词指人。

There is a man who is called Li Hua.
（3）分隔式定语从句中（先行词后有较长的后置定语）。

I was one of the persons in my office who were invited.
（4）一个句子中带有两个定语从句，一个已经用that引导，另一个用who。

The student that won the first prize in the writing petition is my
deskmate who studies very hard.
限制性和非限制性定语从句
1）定语从句有限制性和非限制性两种。

限制性定语从句: 对先行词进行修饰，限制范围，去掉它主句意思往往不明确，主从句不用逗号隔开。

非限制性定语从句：对先行词的补充说明，去掉了也不会影响主句的意思，它与主句之间通常用逗号分开。

翻译时常译成并列的分句（单独翻译成一个句子）。

非限制性定语从句不能用that/why引导。

This is the house which we bought last month.
这是我们上个月买的那幢房子。

（限制性）
The house, which we bought last month, is very nice.
这幢房子很漂亮，是我们上个月买的。

（非限制性）
2）非限制性定语从句还能将整个主句作为先行词，对其进行修饰，用which，引导，这时从句谓语动词要用第三人称单数。

He doesn’t seem to understand me, which makes me upset.
他似乎没抓住我的意思，这使我沮丧。
