Good day,ladies and gentlemen.
I'm so pleased to share with you today. Thank you for being here.
Every year,we get a special day.
This day is different for most of us.
But sometimes we can have the same one.
I'm talking,of course,about our birthday.
I think it is a most special time.
Here's what birthdays are really about.
Birthdays are about presents.
On our birthday,we recieve gifts.
They can be from family or friends.
Sometimes,we get gifts that are useful. Other times,we get gifts that are cool. We just don't know what we'll get.
We don't always like what we get.
But no matter what,we must be grateful.
It's always polite to thank the gift giver.
Birthdays are also about cake.
Having a birthday means getting a cake. Getting a cake is a birthday tradition.
There are many kinds of birthday cake.
They can be chocolate or vanilla.
They can be lemon cake or cheesecake.
There will be a number of candles on it. Everyone will sing "Happy Birthday".
My mouth is watering just thinking about it!
Birthdays are about wishes.
We wish before we blow out the candles.
We can wish for anything we want.
We can wish for good grades in school.
We can wish for a new MP3 player.
We can wish for true love.
We shouldn't tell anyone our birthday wish. If we do,it will never come ture.
It is our own little secret.
And of course, birthdays are about parties! Our birthday is a time for celebration.
We can invite everyone we know.
We'll get lots of presents.
We'll cut the cake.
Or maybe we'll get a surprise party!
The party has to be the most enjoyable part. They are just so much fun.
Birthday parties are the best!
Our birthday is our very own special day.
It comes only once every year.
That means that we should enjoy it.
It's the day we came into the world.
We definitely have to thank our parents.
We wouldn't have a birthday without them.
It doesn't matter how you celebrate it.
Just be sure to spend it the way you want to.
