Not too long ago, I read the Special Report of China Today ’s January issue. Some of the articles were very informative, for example the one titled Beijing 2022: A Tech-Loaded Sports Gala . According to the Legacy Report of Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games Beijing 2022, China has intensi-fied policy support for the industry of ice and snow activities and realized fast growth in this sector over the past five years. In Austria, the local people are very happy to see that the Beijing 2022 has ignited Chinese people’s enthu-siasm for winter sports, creating new opportunities for businesses in this realm. During recent years, China and Austria have maintained communication and collaboration in many fields at different levels. Last year, we organized an online forum on small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and family business in China and Europe. The two sides expressed their strong wish for accelerating the evolution of the global industrial chain, incubating new industries, and promoting innovative changes in the production structure and business models of SMEs, helping both Chinese and European SMEs to overcome the impact of the pan-demic, and achieve new develop-ment in the face of difficulties. In the future, we hope to tap into the potential for cooperation in the ice and snow industry, as well as some other sectors including high-end manufacturing, digital economy, energy conservation, and emis-sion reduction, so as to comple-ment each other’s advantages and achieve win-win cooperation.Lei Fengyun Austria Letters (website) (E-magazine) Sina weibo
Founded in 1952 by Mme Soong Ching Ling (Mme Sun Yat-sen) (1893-1981), then I am the chief contribut-ing writer of the International Talent magazine published by the State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs. Over the past few years, I have interviewed a large number of foreign experts working in China and written stories about their work, life, achievements, and contributions. These foreign experts, serving as the bridge linking China with the rest of the world, are close friends to the Chinese people and have personally witnessed China’s modernization, and also contributed to China’s economic and social develop-ment. Meanwhile, the Chinese government has introduced preferential policies for these foreign scholars, creating an open and inclusive working environment for them. Because of my personal experience, I am particularly interested in discovering foreigners’ life stories in China and so often read the column of East Meets West in China Today . “The Scot Who Defends China” and “Bridges Between Art and Culture” are two articles I have read recently. As one of the authors pointed out, there are actually more commonali-ties shared between cultures than what might seem at first glance. Cultures usually share some common ground in terms of the value placed on family and interpersonal relation-ships. And the people we have met and will continue to meet actually enrich our individual vision of the world through their daily life and profes-sional contributions. Wu Xingduo China Copyright ©博看网.
