After graduating from high school, Hitchcock got his first job in 1915 in Henley Telegraph Company. He was then asked to direct Number 13 but before it could be finished the studio closed its London branch. Instead his first directional appearance was The Pleasure Garden in 1925.
It was with the film The Lodger in 1927 that Hitchcock had his first hit, and was widely noticed as a director In 1929t Hitchcock directed Blackmail which was pioneering in its success as the first widely popular non-silent film.

Brothers Michael and Chris were both bom in the early 1960s and grew up in a mostly black neighborhood in Richmond, California, right outside San Francisco.
