The plot
Kramer is very busy in his work and has little communication with his wife Joanna and son Billy. Without Kramer’s little care about her inner thought, Joanna feels very upset about her present life. The last time, when she turns to Kramer, he refuses to listen to her. So she can’t stand though she loves her son very much, she leaves away alone . As a result, Kramer has to take his responsibility of taking care of his son.
• In a word, children need harmonious and happy family,which requires parents must be full of love and patience, be good at finding the advantages of children, and encourage them as mush as possible. Treating children as a friend rather than a kid is very essential.

• Work VS. family Since married Joanna gave up her satisfied job to take care of her husband and son. After eight years the full-job as a housewife, Joanna wants to find herself, so she decides to leave, even she loves her son very mush. And the husband, he devotes himself to his work, he wants to remain his life level and his society position, which resulted he ignored his wife, his son and his family.
• Ted Kramer: [while Billy brings ice cream to the table] You go right back and put that right back until you finish your dinner...
