We also got to go on a short hike down into the canyon a little bit which was incredible.After the Grand Canyon, we visited Zion National Park in Utah. Zion was amazing for completely different reasons. Instead of a massive chasm in the ground, the park is filled with these gigantic red rock formations shooting straight up into the air. We went hiking up one of the slot canyons which were just astoundingly beautiful and peaceful. It felt like we were walkingthrough a native american fairy tale land or something. The rock walls on either side were so tall and thin with rays of sunlight beaming down through the top. Absolutely breathtaking!My all-time favorite place we've traveled so far though is Hawaii. We took a trip to Maui and Kauai a couple years ago and they were both paradise on earth. I'll start with Maui - we went on an incredible whale watching tour where we got to see huge humpback whales breaching out of the water. Seeing those colossal gentle giants so close was just magical. The whales were amazing but the island itself was even more spectacular in my opinion.We did a tour up to the top of the Haleakala volcano crater which was mindblowing. The whole crater area is this vast bright red landscape that feels like you're walking on Mars or something. And the views from the peak overlooking the entire island were out of this world! While in Maui we also got to see ancient ruins, went snorkeling with sea turtles, took a surf lesson, and just absorbed the island vibe in general which was so chill and relaxing.Then we hopped over to Kauai for a few days which has to be one of the most lush, green, picturesque islands I've ever seen. It felt like we were transported into an ancient prehistoric worldwith the towering emerald mountain spires and valleys completely untouched. We took a tour up the Wailua River to see the famous "Fern Grotto" which felt like a scene out of Avatar with the greenery draped all around. Kauai also had some of the most beautiful beaches in the world with their bright turquoise water and powdery white sand. I never wanted to leave!Those are just a few of the coolest places I've been fortunate enough to visit in my young life so far. The water blasted about 180 feet into the sky! It was so cool. There are also lots of other geysers and hot springs all around the park, making everything smell like rotten eggs from all the sulfur. We had to be really careful not to fall into any of them, because that water is scorching hot.My favorite part of Yellowstone was spotting wildlife. We saw huge buffalo grazing in the fields, and one time a herd of them walked right across the road in front of our car! We also spotted elk and wild mustang horses. The views from the rim of the canyon are just breathtaking.We stayed in a cabin right on the South Rim and spent a few days exploring the different viewpoints and trails along the rim. My favorite was Mather Point where you can see miles and miles into the canyon with all its layered red rock formations. We also hiked a little way down the Bright Angel Trail, which zigzags deep into the canyon. It's this massive canyon in Arizona that was formed by the Colorado River over millions of years. The canyonis over a mile deep and up to 18 miles wide in some spots. It's just an endless sea of red and orange rocks as far as the eye can see.When we visited, we took a helicopter tour that flew right inside the canyon. Seeing it from up above was mind-blowing. The sheer size of the canyon makes you feel so small. But in a good way, like you're part of something much bigger than yourself. We also went hiking along the rim and did a mule ride part way into the canyon itself. That was a little scary because the path was very narrow with steep drop-offs on either side! But the views made it so worth it.Another one of my favorite places is Yellowstone National Park. It's this massive park that spans parts of Wyoming, Montana and Idaho. They've got these awesome geysers like Old Faithful that shoot scalding hot water hundreds of feet into the air. Old Faithful erupts about every 90 minutes so we got to see it go off multiple times.There are also these really cool colored pools where the water is heated by the earth's heat and it looks like a totally unnatural shade of blue or green. The whole park smells like rotten eggs from all the sulfur, but you get used to it after a while. We saw tons of bison just walking around the park like theyowned the place. Those things are huge! We had to stay far away from them though because they can be dangerous if you get too close.On that same trip, we visited Mount Rushmore in South Dakota. It's this giant sculpture carved into the side of a mountain with four former presidents' faces - Washington, Jefferson, Roosevelt and Lincoln. Just their heads are carved into the rock and they're absolutely massive! Each head is about 60 feet tall. It's crazy to think how long it must have taken to carve something so enormous out of solid rock back in the 1920s and 30s before modern machinery.There's also this really cool lighting ceremony they do every night at dusk where they shine lights on the sculpted faces. Watching the shadows slowly form the presidents' facial features as the sun goes down is pretty magical. That trip out west was one of my favorite family vacations for sure!Another place high on my list is the Florida Keys. We went there for spring break a couple years ago and it was like being transported to a tropical paradise. The Florida Keys is a string of islands off the southern tip of Florida connected by these really long bridges that stretch out for miles over the bright blue oceanwater. You can even spot dolphins swimming underneath the bridges sometimes!We stayed at a beach resort in Key West and pretty much just spent our days relaxing by the pool, building sandcastles, and swimming in the ocean. The water was perfectly warm and crystal clear. You could see tons of colorful fish swimming around you when you went snorkeling. My brother and I also went on a glass-bottom boat tour where we got to see shipwrecks and coral reefs without even getting wet!Key West had the most amazing sunsets every night. The whole sky would light up in brilliant shades of orange, pink and purple. One evening we watched the sunset while eating Key Lime pie on a beach - doesn't get much better than that! We also got to meet some tiny little deer that lived in the wild all over the Keys. I thought they were so cute!Last but not least, I have to tell you about Washington D.C. Our nation's capital is totally awesome with so many great museums and monuments. We spent an entire week there and still didn't get to see everything. My favorite was probably the National Air and Space Museum where they had all kinds of old planes and spaceships on display, including the actual Apollo 11 module that the astronauts took to the moon!We also visited the Lincoln Memorial with that giant statue of Abraham Lincoln, as well as the Washington Monument, which is the tallest stone structure in the world. Did you know there are 897 steps to climb to the top? No thanks, I'll take the elevator! My legs were exhausted by the end of every day from walking around the National Mall area where all the museums and monuments are located.One of the coolest things we did was take a night tour where we got to see all the big memorials and government buildings lit up after dark. The White House looked so pretty all illuminated at night. We also got to see the Changing of the Guard ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Arlington National Cemetery. Those guards have to do very precise moves and be absolutely perfect or they get kicked out!Well, those are some of the highlights from my family's travels so far. We stayed at a hotel that had a huge arcade and candy shop - total sugar overload! We went to the Top of the Rock observation deck and got to see the entire iconic Manhattan skyline up close - it looked like a miniature toy city!I also convinced my parents to take me to some museums, which I normally wouldn't be too excited about. But the American Museum of Natural History with all the dinosaur fossils and the Met with all the suits of armor and ancient artifacts was so cool! Who knew learning could be that fun? We did so much walking around the city, riding the subway, and just absorbing all the energy and sights. New York is officially my new favorite place in the world.This vacation was a whirlwind of incredible destinations and I've got so many wonderful memories. From the breathtaking natural beauty of the Grand Canyon to the dazzling lights and shows of Vegas, it was all amazing. But most of all, I'm grateful I got to experience it all with my mom, dad and little brother. We had so many laughs, tried new foods, and made so many inside jokes. It was the best adventure ever and I already can't wait for our next big trip! Getting to explore new places, see incredible things, and make family memories is what it's all about. I'm one lucky kid!篇6My Favorite Tourist SpotsHello everyone! My name is Lucy and I'm going to tell you all about some of the amazing places I've been lucky enough to visit on my travels. Get ready for an adventure!The Grand CanyonWow, the Grand Canyon is so incredibly massive! When I first laid eyes on it, my jaw just dropped. It's like a giant hole was carved right into the earth, and you can see layers and layers of rock in the most beautiful shades of red, orange, yellow and brown. We took a little hike along the rim trail and the views were breathtaking no matter which way I looked. The canyon seems to stretch on forever into the distance.Did you know the Grand Canyon was formed by erosion from the mighty Colorado River over millions and millions of years? That's what my dad told me. He also said some parts are over a mile deep! I can't even imagine something that deep. Looking out over the vast canyon made me feel so small, but in an amazing way. It's just such an incredible natural wonder. I dream of one day being brave enough to hike all the way down to the bottom!The Pyramids of GizaTalk about old! The Pyramids of Giza in Egypt are like the granddaddies of all ancient monuments. These massive stone pyramids were built as giant tombs for pharaohs over 4,500 years ago. Can you believe people made structures that huge and that long ago, without any modern technology or machinery? It's totally mind-blowing!I'll never forget the first time I saw the Great Pyramids rising up from the desert. They're just so perfectly shaped and aligned, like giants dropped them there from the sky. We went inside one of the smaller pyramids through a narrow tunnel and I felt like I was exploring a real-life ancient tomb, just like the ones you see in movies! The hieroglyphs and carvings were incredible.The Great Barrier ReefBuckling up my scuba mask and plunging beneath the waves of the Great Barrier Reef in Australia was like entering an entirely new, underwater world of vibrant color and life! This incredible reef system is the largest living structure on our planet, visible all the way from outer space. How crazy is that?As soon as I went underwater, I was surrounded by schools of the most dazzlingly bright tropical fish in every shade of therainbow. They were darting in and out of the coral formations which looked like wildly colored trees or giant brain-shaped blobs. A friendly sea turtle even swam right up next to me, gently flapping its flipper in the current.The sheer amount of diverse plant and animal life on the reef is just staggering. Our guide told us there are over 1,500 species of fish alone! He pointed out gigantic clam shells, reef sharks, vivid purple sea fans swaying in the current, and multi-colored parrotfish tearing off bites of coral with their hard beaks. It was all just mesmerizingly beautiful. I never wanted to leave that magical underwater paradise.The Northern LightsOkay, I may have saved the best for last here - the incredible Northern Lights! Also known as the Aurora Borealis, this dazzling light display in the night skies of places like Alaska is one of the most amazing natural phenomena I've ever witnessed.We took a tour out into the snowy Alaskan wilderness, far away from the city lights. After bundling up in about five layers, we set up camp and awaited the arrival of the lights. At first, it was just a faint greenish glow on the horizon. But then, streaks of color began to spread across the sky, twisting and curling into breathtaking spiral shapes.Soon, the entire sky was alive with shimmering, pulsating rivers of green, pink, purple and blue light. It looked like a heavenly dancer was waving ethereal ribbons back and forth. The colors shifted and changed so rapidly, it was impossible to look away. Our guide explained it's caused by charged particles from the sun hitting the earth's magnetic field, but it honestly seemed like pure magic to me.I'll never forget lying on my back, gazing up at that hypnotic multicolored display in the inky black Alaskan night. It's easily one of the most spellbinding things I've ever seen. I can't wait until I'm a little older so I can hopefully experience the Northern Lights again and again!Well, those are some of the top highlights from my travels so far. From enormous geological wonders to ancient man-made marvels to incredible natural light shows, our world is full of so many astounding sights to explore. I know I've been super lucky to visit even a few of them already.I can't wait to see what other amazing places are out there waiting for me to discover them. There's just so much world to explore! Who knows what my next mind-blowing adventure will be? Wherever I go, you can be sure I'll have my eyes, mind andheart wide open to it all. The greatest classroom is the great outdoors!。

One of my trips
I like traveling a lot. Because I can see different sceneries, listen to interesting stories and experience different cultures. I have been to half the provinces in China. However, I had not been abroad before this year.
Today I want to share with you about my first trip to the U.S. this year. This is also my first trip out of China. You can imagine how interesting it was.
I took a flight from Shanghai to Detroit, and then transferred to FL. It took me about 17 hours to get from Shanghai to FL, my first station. As you can see from the picture, there is a beautiful beach, and the weather there was very nice. I walked along the beach many times and I enjoy the scenery there very much.
During the days I was in the U.S., every day was sunny day. I wondered how comes this. After I visited one plant there, I thought I got the answer. Look at the picture. Do you know what this? This is an alcohol plant. I was very impressed the first time when I was there. There were no walls, no gates, no guards. I thought that was a villa at first. The plant was quiet and clean. I don’t think we have such kind of plant in China. Our plants are usually smelly, noisy, dirty and smoky. I think that is the main cause of the air pollution in China.
Another thing I want share is about guns. As a man, I always dreamed to have a chance to shoot a real gun. And I did it. It was a lot of fun.
One more thing I have to say is that shopping in America is cheap. I bought quite a lot of things there, even 2 suitcases. But most things I bought was for my wife. One thing confused me was that the most things I bought were made in China. I just took a lot of my energy to bring them to their original home. That was funny!
However, this is an unforgettable trip in my life.
