摘要：PURPOSE:To obtain the title product having large flame retardance and good dispersing properties in making into paper because sufficient flame retardance is obtained even when heat expandable graphite having fine granule size is used by adding specific compound and heat expandable graphite having specific properties together to a pulp at a specific ratio. CONSTITUTION:The aimed product containing (A) pulp, (B) a heat expandable graphite being 50-250cc/g in expanding degree and 20-150 mesh in granule size when retained at 1000 deg.C for 10sec and (C) a metal compound selected from aluminum hydroxide, magnesium hydroxide, calcium carbonate and magnesium carbonate, being 90:10-10:90 in weight ratio of the component B to the component C and 25-100wt.% in total amount of the components B and C to the component A. Furthermore, the component B is obtained by bringing the graphite having 20-150 mesh into contact with the mixture of 98% sulfuric acid and 30% hydrogen peroxide at <=45 deg.C for 10-30min and washing the treated graphite with water and drying the treated gr aphit e .
