英语四级作文中的lead in部分
英语四级作文中的lead in部分The lead-in section is a crucial component of a CET-4 essay as it sets the tone and direction for the entire piece of writing. This introductory part serves to capture the reader's attention, provide relevant background information, and clearly establish the main focus or argument of the essay. Crafting an effective lead-in requires careful consideration of various elements, including the choice of opening statement, the incorporation of contextual details, and the seamless transition into the thesis or central idea. One of the primary purposes of the lead-in is to engage the reader from the very beginning. This can be achieved through the use of a thought-provoking statement, a relevant anecdote, or a compelling quote. The opening line should be designed to pique the reader's interest and encourage them to continue reading. For instance, a lead-in might start with a rhetorical question that invites the reader to ponder the issue at hand or a vivid description that sets the scene for the essay's topic. In addition to capturing the reader's attention, the lead-in sectionshould provide relevant background information to contextualize the essay's subject matter. This can involve introducing the broader context, such as historical, social, or cultural factors, that are essential for understanding the topic. By incorporating these contextual details, the writer can help the reader establish a solid foundation for the discussion that follows. This background information should be concise and directly relevant to the essay's focus, as the lead-in should not be overly long or digressive.Another crucial element of an effective lead-in is the smooth transition into the thesis or central argument of the essay. The lead-in should seamlessly guide the reader from the introductory material to the main focus of the essay. This can be achieved through the use of transitional phrases or sentences that logically connect the background information to the essay's central claim or position. The lead-in should not abruptly jump into the thesis; rather, it should gradually build up to the main argument, creating a natural and coherent flow for the reader. When crafting the lead-in, it is important to consider the specific prompt or question provided in the CET-4 essay task. The lead-in should be tailored to address the given prompt, ensuring that the introductory section is directly relevant to the essay's focus. This may involve incorporating key terms or concepts from the prompt, or framing the discussion in a way that aligns with the expectations ofthe task. Moreover, the lead-in should be concise and well-organized, avoiding unnecessary elaboration or tangents. The introductory section should be succinct, typically comprising only a few sentences, as the primary purpose is to set the stage for the main body of the essay. Clarity and coherence are essential, as the lead-in should provide a smooth transition into the essay's central argument or discussion. In the context of the CET-4 essay, the lead-in section also serves to demonstrate the writer's command of the English language and their ability to organize their thoughts in a logical and compelling manner.A well-crafted lead-in can showcase the writer's writing skills, such as their ability to use varied sentence structures, appropriate vocabulary, and effective rhetorical devices.Furthermore, the lead-in can be used to establish the writer's credibility and authority on the topic. By incorporating relevant background information or citing reputable sources, the writer can demonstrate their understanding of the subject matter and their ability to provide a well-informed perspective. This can help to build trust with the reader and set the stage for a persuasive and well-supported essay. In conclusion, the lead-in section is a crucial component of a CET-4 essay, as it sets the tone, provides context, and transitions into the essay's central argument. Crafting an effective lead-in requires careful consideration of various elements, including the opening statement, the incorporation of relevant background information, and the smooth transition into the thesis or main focus of the essay. By mastering the art of the lead-in, writers can create a compelling and engaging introduction that captivates the reader and sets the stage for a successful CET-4 essay.。

I’m very glad to stand here and give you a shortI will argue from the following two aspects about Chinese universities should not allow mix-gender dormitories.First of all,we should seriously think about the existence value of mix-gender dormitories. According to the published study of Journal of American College Health, they investigated more than 500 students of five American universities, and about 90% of which living in the mix-gender dormitories. In the dormitory, men and women are not necessarily in the same room, many of them just live on the different floors. The results of the survey show that 41% of the students, living in the mix-gender dormitories, admit that they arepromiscuity in astudents, living in a single gender dormitory,of the ratio is 17%.The study also points that living in the mix-gender dormitory is easier to promiscuity. The proportion of having three or more sexual partners in the past year is three times as much as students who live in the single-gender ,with the number increasing, the account of promiscuity will be make us more embarrassed in the future. Secondly, it also has a great effect on students’ living. For example, when I want to take a bath after busy work and have a deep sleep wearing pajamas,I find that I can’t do it because I have a maleI was a man,I would even worried If I would be sued for obscene or not ,just because I wear a short pants and my shake-feathering is too long. And all this is the embarrassment due to allow mix-genderwhen you live with the students in common sex, girls could not worry aboutthe position which underwear hang on, let alone whether they are less wear at night. Meanwhile boys can play games loudly and don’t have to worry about the girl. Some privacy is able to accept by the people, having common sex,but the opposite sex ismany students aren’t lover in min-gender dorm. Therefore privacy protection has become an embarrassing problem, but also making life into inconvenience.
1.There are several reasons lead to this phenomenon.2.We should improve our English level is important.3.Raise the petrol price help to reduce the traffic congestion.4.Find job is difficult for many college graduates.5.Life is short, we should cherish every second of our life.
There are several reasons leading to the phenomenon. 或者There are several reasons which lead to the phenomenon.
That we should improve our English level is important. 但为了避免头重脚轻,我们一般会用it做形式主语变成:It is important that we should improve our English level. 大家可以试一下翻译:青少年应该避免接触太多网络暴力,这尤为重要。

For a new business, those assets originate from two possible sources:* Investors who buy ownership in the business* Creditors who extend loans to the businessThose who contribute assets to a business have legal claims on those assets. Since the total assets of the business are equal to the sum of the assets contributed by investors and the assets contributed by creditors, the following relationship holds and is referred to as the accounting equation:Assets Resources = Liabilities +Owners’ Equity Claims on the ResourcesInitially, owner equity is affected by capital contributions such as the issuance of stock. Once business operations commence, there will be income (revenues minus expenses, and gains minus losses) and perhaps additional capital contributions and withdrawals such as dividends. At the end of a reporting period, these items will impact the owners’ equity as follows:Assets = Liabilities + Owners’ Equity+ Revenues- Expenses+ Gains- Losses+ Contributions- WithdrawalsThese additional items under owners’ equity are tracked in temporary accounts until the end of the accounting period, at which time they are closed to owners’ equity. The accounting equation holds at all times over the life of the business. When a transaction occurs, the total assets of the business may change, but the equation will remain in balance. The accounting equation serves as the basis for the balance sheet, as illustrated in the following example. The Accounting Equation - A Practical ExampleTo better understand the accounting equation, consider the following example. Mike Peddler decides to open a bicycle repair shop. To get started he rents some shop space, purchases an initial inventory of bike parts, and opens the shop for business. Here is a listing of the transactions that occurred during the first month:Date TransactionSep 1 Owner contributes $7,500 in cash to capitalize the business.Sep 8 Purchased $2,500 in bike parts on account, payable in 30 days.Sep 15 Paid first month’s shop rent of $1,000.Sep 17 Repaired bikes for $1100; collected $400 cash; billed customers for the $700 balance.Sep 18 $275 in bike parts were used.Sep 25 Collected $425 from customer accounts.Sep 28 Paid $500 to suppliers for parts purchased earlier in the month.Unit 7 Performance Evaluation(1)Unit 7 Performance Evaluation(2)Unit8Getting to Know Your Customers (1)Unit8Getting to Know Your Customers (2)Unit9Competition(1)Unit9Competition(2)A. The missing sentences are presented at the end of the text. Decide first which sentence goes with each paragraph. Write your answers in the spaces provided below.A. ____________________________________________________________________The objectives affect the choice of media, strategy, and overall budget. Therefore, the first stage always begins with setting objectives and defining how they will contribute to the wider marketing objectives. For example, the goal may be to raise product awareness within a new region in order to enable a specific increase in sales volume. To insure a cost-effective campaign that delivers results, advertising objectives should be translated into precise, measurable targets. Overlooking any of the necessary details will weaken the impact and effectiveness of the campaign.B. ___________________________________________________________________Poor decisions made during the budgeting stage can result in advertisements which appear too infrequently to have impact or fail due to poor production quality. With the objectives in mind, a careful budget must be made to accommodate the various costs associated with the campaign. A campaign budget will include direct, indirect, and variable costs. Direct costs include the cost of producing the advertisement. Indirect costs include the cost of activities such as managing and handling the campaign and setting up a method to handle the responses from the advertising. Variable costs can include such things as telephone costs to handle the responses or the cost to supply materials that are requested.C. ___________________________________________________________________There are four important factors to consider in selecting campaign media. The audience profile of the medium selected must fit with the target audience. The costs of reaching the target audience through various media must be compared. The frequency of the medium must match the timing of the campaign. Finally, the creative options of the medium for the communication of your message must be taken into consideration.D. _____________________________________________________________________The average consumer is confronted with a large amount of advertising, so a successful advertising message must stand out from the rest. This is the final step in the development process. Advertising professionals have to be creative, imaginative and innovative in developing the advertising message, both in terms of what is said, and how it is said. What is said addresses the key benefits sought by the target audience and motivates them to pay attention. How it is said creates attention grabbing and memorable advertising. Messages are commonly built around the AIDA structure. Attention must be gotten within seconds. Interest in the product must be raised. Desire details how needs can be fulfilled. However, thereare many ways to make your speech more attractive and persuasive, regardless of your level of proficiency in the language. In this article, we will explore the mainstrategies and techniques that you can use to captivate your audience and deliver a compelling message that leads to action.1. Know Your AudienceThe first step in creating an effective business presentation in English is to understand your audience. Whoare you speaking to? What are their needs, expectations, and motivations? Are they experts in your field, or do they havea general understanding of your topic? Depending on the answers to these questions, you will need to adjust your language, tone, and content to make your speech relevant and compelling to your listeners. For example, if you are presenting to a group of investors, you will need to emphasize the financial benefits and ROI of your proposal. On the other hand, if you are speaking to a group of employees, you may want to focus on the impact of your project on their job satisfaction and career growth. Knowing your audience will help you tailor your message to their interests and priorities, and make your presentation more engaging and persuasive.2. Tell a StoryHumans are wired to respond to stories. We love to hear about personal experiences, challenges, and triumphs, and we remember them better than dry facts and figures. Therefore, one way to make your commercial presentation more attractive and persuasive is to incorporate storytelling into your speech. For instance, instead of listing the features of your product or service, you could share a customer success story that illustrates how your solution has solved a problem and added value to their business. Or, you could talk about your own journey as an entrepreneur and the lessons you havelearned along the way. By framing your message in a narrative, you will capture your audience's attention, evoke emotions, and make your presentation more memorable.3. Use Visual AidsVisual aids such as slides, charts, and graphics can enhance your commercial presentation in several ways. Theycan help you illustrate complex concepts, highlight key points, and provide visual interest and variety. However, itis important to use visual aids wisely, and not to let them overshadow your message or distract from your speaking. To make your visual aids more effective, follow these guidelines:- Keep them simple and clean, with few words and high-quality images.- Use contrasting colors and fonts to make your textstand out.- Use animation and effects sparingly, to avoid over-stimulation.- Practice your presentation with your visual aids, to ensure that they don't slow you down or cause technical difficulties.4. Engage Your AudienceEngagement is crucial for any commercial presentation, as it keeps your audience interested, focused, and motivated to take action. There are many ways to engage your listeners, depending on your style, your topic, and your audience. Some suggestions include:- Asking questions and inviting feedback- Using humor and anecdotes- Encouraging participation and interaction- Adopting a conversational tone- Using rhetorical devices such as repetition, contrast, and analogyBy engaging your audience, you will create a sense of connection and rapport with them, and make your presentation more impactful and memorable.5. Practice, Practice, PracticeFinally, the key to delivering a successful commercial presentation in English is practice. You need to rehearseyour speech several times, until you feel confident, comfortable, and natural in front of your audience. Practice will help you refine your message, polish your language, and improve your pace and tone. Moreover, it will help you overcome nervousness and anxiety, and deliver your speechwith poise and charisma. When practicing, pay attention to your body language, eye contact, and breathing. They can convey as much or more ofyour message than your words, and can affect your audience's perception of you. Remember to smile, gesture, and movearound the stage, to convey confidence and enthusiasm. Also, make eye contact with individuals in the audience, toestablish a connection with them and convey sincerity. In conclusion, giving a commercial presentation inEnglish can be a challenge, but by following the strategies and techniques discussed in this article, you can make your speech more attractive and persuasive. 如何写一篇关于描写人的长相的英语作文
如何写一篇关于描写人的长相的英语作文Describing a person's physical appearance can be a delicate and nuanced task. It requires keen observation, attention to detail, and the ability to paint a vivid picture with words. When done effectively, a description of someone's appearance can provide valuable insights into their personality, mood, and even their background or cultural identity. In this essay, we will explore the key elements to consider when crafting a well-rounded and engaging description of a person's physical attributes. The first and most obvious aspect to address is the person's facial features. This includes the shape and size of their eyes, nose, mouth, and chin. Is their face round, oval, or angular? Do they have prominent cheekbones or a strong, defined jawline? Describing the color and texture of their skin, as well as any distinguishing marks like freckles or scars, can also help the reader visualize the subject. It's important to avoid clichés or overly generic descriptions, and instead strive to capture the unique and distinctive qualities of the person's face.Moving beyond the face, the next crucial element is the person's body type and overall physique. Are they tall and slender, or short and stocky? Do they have broad shoulders, a narrow waist, or a more curvaceous figure? Noting details like the person's posture, the way they carry themselves, and any distinctive mannerisms or gestures can also contribute to a vivid physical description. It's important to strike a balance between providing enough detail to paint a clear picture, without getting bogged down in unnecessary minutiae.Another important aspect to consider is the person's style of dress and grooming. This can reveal a great deal about their personality, cultural background, and personal preferences. Do they favor formal, tailored attire or a more casual, relaxed style? What colors, patterns, or materials do they tend to gravitate towards? How do they style their hair, and what kind of accessories, if any, do they choose to wear? Paying attention to these details can help the reader develop a more holistic understanding of the person being described. In addition to these core physical attributes, it can also be valuable to consider the person's overall energy, presence, and body language. How do they carry themselves? Do they exude confidence and poise, or do they seem more reserved and introverted? Do they make frequent eye contact, or do they tend to avert their gaze? Noting these subtleties can help the reader gain a deeper sense of the person's personality and emotional state. When crafting a description of a person's appearance, it's important to avoid falling into the trap of stereotyping or making assumptions based on limited information. Instead, strive to approach the task with an open and curious mindset, and be willing to challenge your own preconceptions. Pay attention to the nuances and contradictions that make each individual unique, and aim to capture the essence of the person in a way that is both accurate and evocative. One effective technique for achieving this is to use a mix of objective, factual descriptions and more subjective, interpretive language. For example, you might start with a straightforward statement like "She has shoulder-length, dark brown hair and piercing green eyes." But then you could follow that up with a more interpretive observation, such as "Her gaze is intense and unwavering, giving the impression of a sharp intellect and a strong sense of self-assurance."Another useful strategy is to consider the context in which the person is being observed. Is this a formal, professional setting, or a more casual, social environment? How might the person's appearance and demeanor shift depending on the circumstances? Incorporating these contextual details can help the reader better understand the person's overall persona and how they navigate different social situations.Ultimately, the key to writing a successful description of a person's appearance is to approach the task with a keen eye for detail, a willingness to explore the nuances and contradictions that make each individual unique, and a commitment to using language that is both vivid and evocative. By combining objective, factual descriptions with more subjective, interpretive observations, you can create a portrait that not only captures the person's physical attributes, but also provides insight into their personality, emotional state, and lived experiences.。
