珍珠港英语观后感3篇After i watched the pearl harbor,i was moved by the spirts of the American. And i even think if Chinese can brave, maybe farther results will be.I also moved by the love of Protagonists. But I can ”t think it as a war film or a romance film Under a real history background, many people classfied Pearl harbor as a war film ,but the film use a long length to prove the beauty and great of love .Absolutely the love of brother is very important, too. At the beginning of the film ,the scene is very beautiful.I like the color of the sundown. Is‘s very beautiful .A very valuable point in the film is to face thereal history and the cruelty of war .The war has always been a cruel ,it’s will take away a lot of life ,and hurts people very much .So it will take lots of courage to face the war.The music in the film for the film brought sublimation. The music with the scene fit very right .Becauseof the music the movie touched me more . My favourate background music is There You Will Be. And it’s also the movie theme song . This song is very popular in China even a Tai wan woman singer named Zhang Huimei get it in Chinese .It sounds very good , too. I think maybe There You Will Be is combe with the movie plot ,so it’s very moved. The movieis a tangled story. Two close friends were in love with a woman. Because a person's death so that the other two people come together. But when Rafe suffered from the war and come back, All three were caught in a painful mood. At that time , the circumstan ces didn’t give them time to hesitate .Rafe and Danny went to war together .Director did not demonize the Japanese because of the hatred. the Japanese and Amercian forced to fight for their country .They were equally respectable . But in the Amercian chara cters’ story in the United States, the important is in order to defend the motherland regardless of themselves. Because of this spirt ,Amercian were invincibleThe most exciting part of the movie is in the back, Let me memorable one is in this part .And theme of movie also in this part of the sublimation .War is not inevitable, but the war lets us grow, we have experienced this difficult years, we all know how brave and cherished we are. We believe that victory always belongs to the brave man, we are confident that as long as full of faith, life will be proud of us. we should cherish the affection, friendship, andlove.Although the war is cruel, but we went with our heart that we really care deeply loved ones. War makes sexual experiences succinct and ublimation.Evelyn said “Amercian suffered ,but Amercian grew stronger”.After so much catastrophic disaster Chinese people also can come out from the suffering and harm, and become stronger.珍珠港观后感英语O, and as for Rafe and Danny? They've sort of made up. Heck, during the attack, they even team up to presumptuously usurp the roles of the two historical heroes of the Pearl Harbor attack, Lts. George Welch and Kenneth Taylor, who took to the skies and shot down anywhere from six to 10 Japanese planes. Then our omnipresent plastic heroes listen in on a Top Gun-esquire rah-rah by Alec Baldwin's interpretation of Col. Jimmy Doolittle, which leads into a half-baked annotation of the historical Doolittle Raid, which has the threefold purpose of making sure our two heroes achieve good ol' American vengeance on the Japanese, to slap some convenient closure on our three-hour General Hospital episode (in case you couldn't figure it out, Danny dies, and Rafe andEvelyn live happily ever after with the parachute baby Danny Jr.), and to make me wonder why this movie was titled "Pearl Harbor" and not "Babes, Bombs and Butt-kicking," or something rather. Then the credits roll, accompanied by a pop song that sounds like a rejected idea for Titanic. The title "Pearl Harbor" presumes that this movie is the ultimate cinematic authority on the attack. But insteadit amounts to little more than a three-hour soap opera with putrid dialogue that has the gall to give credit to generic G.I. Joes for key historical roles. No other work ofhistorical fiction has at the same time taken itself so seriously and managed to show such irreverence both for its subject and for the very craft of film-making.珍珠港观后感英语When you assume battle stations for "Pearl Harbor," make sure you sit near the aisle. You've got three hours to withstand, and only about half of it is war. This isdefinitely a two-bathroom visit movie. It's not the length that makes a movie good or bad. It's the pacing. Some three-hour movies, like "Lawrence of Arabia," just glide by. But movies like "Pearl Harbor" drag along because they . . . take . . . their . . . time . . .about . . . everything.Put it this way: When a Japanese military officer reports that "the task force" is 320 miles north of Pearl Harbor, we're one hour and 20 minutes into the movie. By then, you're ready to bomb something yourself.Perhaps they should have called this "Bore-a, Bore-a, Bore-a."Incidentally, although this Walt Disney movie is based, inspired and even partially informed by a real event referred to as Pearl Harbor, the movie is actually based onthe movies "Top Gun," "Titanic" and "Saving Private Ryan."Don't get confused. And don't be worried about emotional intensity. It's going to take a special effort on your part (probablyinformed by firsthand wartime experience in World War II) to actually appreciate the emotional impact of what happened on Dec. 7, 1941. "Pearl Harbor"-the-movie, produced by Jerry Bruckheimer and Michael Bay (also the director), doesn'tevoke that time so much as turn it into a pre-Fourth of July fireworks show. The movie's emotional impact is not helped by the characters. By the time the Japanese are blowing ships out of the water, we have met (and already become sick of) ourblandly delineated sweethearts, flying-crazy pilot Rafe McCawley (Ben Affleck) and intelligent, dedicated nurseEvelyn Johnson (Kate Beckinsale). We have also observed the lifelong friendship between Rafe and his pal Danny Walker (Josh Hartnett). The movie starts with Rafe and Danny as kids, sitting in a motionless crop duster plane, pretending to shoot enemy planes. Some two hours later, they'll be mounting theAmerican counterattack against the Japanese. "Danny, let'splay some chicken with these Jap suckers!" yells Rafe.In what amounts to a superfluous first hour, Rafe, desperate for military action in pre-Pearl Harbor days, volunteers for the Royal Air Force. Suddenly, he's missing, leaving Evelyn and Danny to pick up the pieces and each other. Why waste time worrying if he'll reappear in time for Pearl Harbor as well as a romantic dogfight with Danny? He's Ben Affleck, the movie's top-billed player. There's more to this so-so movie, including a completely formulaic subplot starring Cuba Gooding Jr. as a ship's cook who boxes and machine-guns his way to r-e-s-p-e-c-t (loosely based on a real person, Doris "Dorie" Miller), and Hans Zimmer's relentlessly syrupy score. But let's cut to the chase: those central 40 minutes of blitzkrieg special effects. Isn't that why people will be lining the block? My take: The visuals are well done but not mind-blowingly memorable. It would take a director far more gifted than Bayto outdo James Cameron in "Titanic." Perhaps intimidated by this, Bay gives us many scenes featuring marooned men in the water, and many others stuck inside majestic, sinking hulls. And when the Japanese planes strafe those men, he goes underwater – like Steven Spielberg did in "Saving Private Ryan" – to show the cool, glossy white trajectories thetracer bullets make underwater.Obviously, imitation will get you everywhere.珍珠港观后感英语Pearl Harbor is a monstrous, costly and utterly disrespectful abomination of film with pretensions of serious emotional weight and proper historical context. With the cost of the movie comparable to the damage costs of the actual Dec. 7, 1941, attack, more attention should've been paid to the script and research instead of all the models and gasolinefor an attack sequence that, while spectacular, was more appropriate for a Star Wars clone or a video game than anactual World War II-era film. And that's about the only "positive," if you cancall it that, of that hack Michael Bay's Oscar-bait project. Many history buffs have ripped the movie from the angle of historical inaccuracy and omission. Assuming that Pearl Harbor is not meant to be a documentary, but a work of historical fiction, lack of historical accuracy and comprehensiveness is by far the least significant of Pearl Harbor's problems, per se, although such blatant historical carelessness certainly starts to say a lot about the movie as a whole. But, if Pearl Harbor's aim was to be a work of fiction, it has also miserably failed at that. It fails as literature, and it fails as a film. Pearl Harbor tries to be an amalgamation of three past classic movies on the subjects it covers: 1) From Here to Eternity, a clever and well acted telling of the stories of several characters' romantic pursuits and personal struggles right before the attack on Pearl Harbor disrupted everything, 2) Tora! Tora! Tora!, a mostly factual, well balanced depiction of the planning and execution of the actual Pearl Harbor attack with vintage cinematography, and 3) Thirty Seconds Over Tokyo, a meticulously detailed depiction of the Doolittle Raid with a schmaltzy but genuine love subplot involving one actual soldier and his wife. But Pearl Harbor falls far short of all three aforementioned films on not only their own terms, butsimply as movies.Instead of From Here to Eternity's clever dialogues and personal plot twists and romantic moments dripping alternately with irony and genuine warmth, Pearl Harbor wastes its first hour and a half of screen time setting up a sophomoric love triangle that could have been ripped straight from daytime television soap operas and trash talk shows.珍珠港观后感英语The triangle involves two generically glamorous flyboys, played by Ben Affleck and Josh Hartnett, who have been friends since childhood. Even their names, Rafe McCawley and Danny Walker, are mundane. Rafe (Affleck) falls in love with a nurse who presides over his physical named Evelyn (played by Kate Beckinsale), who is also generically glamorous. Rafe and Evelyn spend the next hour or so exchanging pallid lines of dialogue that try too hard to hammer into the audience that, yes, they are in love. Sort of like Shakespeare or Petrarch without any brains and about four centuries too late. In any case, Rafe goes to Britain to fly for the Royal Air Force, where he faces serious butt-kissing from the Brits in a disgustingly patronizing depiction of both British and Americans, and gets shot down over London. But (who didn't see this coming) he lives. But Evelyn thinks he's dead. And so does Danny (Hartnett). After the token few minutes of mourning, Dannyand Evelyn fly above Hawaii and then make it like rabbits under parachutes, invoking obvious parallels to Titanic's"I'm flying" scene followed by good ol' shagging in a car backseat. More faux-sonnet dialogue follows. Then, just like clockwork, Rafe comes back, poor Evelyn is caught in the middle, and Danny and Rafe fight Jerry Springer-style. Thenit gets interrupted by the spectacular but oddly fake and inhuman money siphon ... er ... I mean, attack sequence characterized by CGI copies of trapped and screaming people.Meanwhile, Pearl Harbor occasionally alternates to shots of somber-looking Japanese spies and soldiers planning the attack, all accompanied by evil-sounding music, going out of the way to make the Japanese look like devious souls outfor revenge because America wouldn't give them their oil (convenient partial reasoning). Then, in an attempt to makethe Japanese appear somewhat remorseful, the script calls for Admiral Yamamoto to utter his famous "brilliant man" and "sleeping giant" lines. After the attack, Jon Voight does a wonderful impression of Peter Sellers' Dr. Strangelove. Only problem is, he was supposed to be Franklin D. Roosevelt.。

HARRY TRUMAN: “The world will note that the first atomic bomb was dropped on Hiroshima, a military base. We won the race of discovery against the Germans. We have used it in order to shorten the agony of war, in order to save the lives of thousands and thousands of young Americans. We shall continue to use it until we completely destroy Japan’s power to make war.” American planes dropped one of the bombs on Hiroshima on August 6, 1945, and another on Nagasaki 3 days later. Exactly how many people in those 2 cities died from the force and heat of the blasts or later from radiation may never be known. The Radiation Effects Research Foundation in Japan estimates that between 150,000 and 246,000 died within 2 to 4 months of the bombings. Japan surrendered on August 15, 1945, 6 days after the Nagasaki bombing.

Japan's attack on Pearl Harbor in December of nineteen forty-one was one of the most successful surprise attacks in the history of modern warfare. Japanese warships, including several aircraft carriers, crossed the western Pacific to Hawaii without being seen. They launched their plannoes on a quiet Sunday morning and attacked the huge American naval and air base at Pearl Harbor.(SOUND: Pearl Harbor attack)ANNOUNCER: "We interrupt this program to bring you a special news bulletin: The Japanese have attacked Pearl Harbor, Hawaii by air, President Roosevelt has just announced."ANNOUNCER: "The attack apparently was made on all naval and military activities on the principal island of Oahu. A Japanese attack upon Pearl Harbor naturally would mean war."STEVE EMBER: Many of the American sailors were asleep or at church. They were unprepared for the attack. In fact, some people outside the base thought the Japanese planes must be new types of American aircraft on training flights. The sounds of guns and bombs soon showed how wrong they were. The Japanese planes sank or seriously damaged six powerful American battleships in just a few minutes. They killed more than three thousand sailors. They destroyed or damaged half the American airplanes in Hawaii.American forces, caught by surprise, were unable to offer much of a fight. Japanese losses were very low. There was so much destruction at Pearl Harbor that officials in Washington did not immediately reveal the full details to the public. They were afraid that Americans might panic if they learned the truth about the loss of so much military power. The following day, President Franklin Roosevelt went to Congress to ask for a declaration of war against Japan.FRANKLIN ROOSEVELT: "Mr. Vice President, Mr. Speaker, members of the Senate, and of the House of Representatives: "Yesterday, December seventh, nineteen forty-one -- a date which will live in infamy -- the United States of America was suddenly and deliberately attacked by naval and air forces of the Empire of Japan. The United States was at peace with that nation and, at the solicitation of Japan, was still in conversation with its government and its emperor, looking toward the maintenance of peace in the Pacific ..."No matter how long it may take us to overcome this premeditated invasion, the American people in their righteous might will win through to absolute victory..."We will not only defend ourselves to the uttermost but will make it very certain that this form of treachery shall never again endanger us ..."I ask that the Congress declare that since the unprovoked and dastardly attack by Japan on Sunday, December seventh, nineteen forty-one, a state of war has existed between the United States and the Japanese Empire."STEVE EMBER: The Senate approved President Roosevelt's request without any opposition. In the House of Representatives, only one congressman objected to the declaration of war against Japan.(MUSIC)VOA慢速英语听⼒:珍珠港事件回顾Three days later, Germany and Italy declared war on the United States. Congress reacted by declaring war on those two countries. The Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor ended the long American debate over whether to become involved in the Second World War.American politicians and citizens had argued for years about whether to remain neutral or to fight to help Britain and France and other friends.Japan's aggressive attack at Pearl Harbor united Americans in a common desire for military victory. It made Americans willing to do whatever was necessary to win the war. And it pushed America into a kind of world leadership that its people had never known before.President Franklin Roosevelt and his advisers had to make an important decision about how to fight the war. Would the United States fight Japan first, or Germany, or both at the same time?Japan's attack had brought America into the war. And it had severely damaged American military power. But Roosevelt decided not to strike back at Japan immediately. He would use most of his forces to fight Germany. There were several reasons for Roosevelt's decision. First, Germany already controlled much of Europe, as well as much of the Atlantic Ocean. Roosevelt considered this a direct threat. And he worried about possible German intervention in Latin America.Second, Germany was an advanced industrial nation. It had many scientists and engineers. Its factories were modern. Roosevelt was concerned that Germany might be able to develop deadly new weapons, such as an atomic bomb, if it was not stopped quickly.Third, Britain historically was one of America's closest allies. And the British people were united and fighting for their lives against Germany. This was not true in Asia. Japan's most important opponent was China. But China's fighting forces were weak and divided, and could not offer strong opposition to the Japanese.(MUSIC)Adolf Hitler's decision to break his treaty with Soviet leader Josef Stalin and attack the Soviet Union made Roosevelt's choice final. The American leader recognized that the Germans would have to fight on two fronts: in the west against Britain and in the east against Russia. He decided it was best to attack Germany while its forces were divided. So the United States sent most of its troops and supplies to Britain to join the fight against Germany.American military leaders hoped to attack Germany quickly by launching an attack across the English Channel. Stalin also supported this plan. Soviet forces were suffering terrible losses from the Nazi attack and wanted the British and Americans to fight the Germans on the west. However, British Prime Minister Winston Churchill and other leaders opposed launching an invasion across the English Channel too quickly. They worried that such an invasion might fail, while the Germans were still so strong. And they knew this would mean disaster. For this reason, British and American forces decided instead to attack the Italian and German troops occupying North Africa.British forces had been fighting the Italians and Germans in North Africa since late nineteen forty. They fought the Italians first in Egypt and Libya. British forces had successfully pushed the Italians across Libya. They killed more than ten thousand Italian troops and captured more than one hundred thirty thousand prisoners. But the British success did not last long. Hitler sent one of his best commanders, General Erwin Rommel, to take command of the Italians. Rommel was brave and smart. He pushed the British back from Libya to the border with Egypt. And in a giant battle at Tobruk, he destroyed or captured more than eight hundred of Britain's nine hundred tanks.(SOUND: Rommel's tanks)Rommel's progress threatened Egypt and the Suez Canal. So Britain and the United States moved quickly to send more troops and supplies to stop him.Slowly, British forces led by General Bernard Montgomery pushed Rommel and the Germans back to Tripoli in Libya. In November nineteen forty-two, American and British forces commanded by General Dwight Eisenhower landed in northwest Africa. They planned to attack Rommel from the west, while Montgomery attacked him from the east. But Rommel knew Eisenhower's troops had done little fighting before. So he attacked them quickly before they could launch their own attack.A major battle took place at Kasserine Pass in western Tunisia. American forces suffered heavy losses. But in the end Rommel's attack failed. Three months later, American forces joined with Montgomery's British troops to force the Germans in North Africa to surrender. The battle of North Africa was over. The allied forces of Britain and the United States had regained control of the southern Mediterranean Sea. They could now attack Hitler's forces in Europe from the south.(SOUND)The Allies wasted no time. They landed on the Italian island of Sicily in July of nineteen forty-three. German tanks fought back. But the British and American forces moved ahead. Soon they captured Sicily's capital, Palermo. And within weeks, they forced the German forces to leave Sicily for the Italian mainland. In late July, Italy's dictator, Benito Mussolini, was overthrown and placed in prison. The Germans rescued him and helped him establish a new government, protected by German troops. But still the Allies attacked. They crossed to the Italian mainland. The Germans fought hard. And for some time, they prevented the allied troops from breaking out of the coastal areas. The fighting grew bloodier. A fierce battle took place at Monte Cassino. Thousands and thousands of soldiers lost their lives. But slowly the allies advanced north through Italy. They captured Rome in June of nineteen forty-four. And they forced the Germans back into the mountains of northern Italy. The allies would not gain complete control of Italy until the end of the war. But they had succeeded in increasing their control of the Mediterranean and pushing back the Germans. One reason Hitler's forces were not stronger in Africa and Italy was because German armies also were fighting in Russia. Pearl Harbor film reviewPearl Harbor, a classical movie, is about three young persons’ life in War 2, reflecting the hardship in people fighting with Japanese.Pearl Harbor consists of three incongruous acts, mashed together into an ungainly whole. It appears to be more interested in reproducing the success of Titanic, which also set a fictional love story amidst a tragic historical event, than it is in telling the story of the men and women who fought and died in the attack on Pearl Harbor.Titanic worked because the central characters were interesting, the story was cohesive, the historical events were handled respectfully and with the proper dramatic tone, and underneath it all was an intelligent reflection on the human failings that permitted such a tragedy in the first place.Pearl Harbor reduces the historical backdrop into a series of action set pieces. Instead of exploring ideas inherent in the events, it extracts them, reducing the reason for Japan's attack to something inexplicable at best, and having utterly nothing to say about why the attack happened, how it was carried out, or how we responded. The film is dedicated to the men who died at Pearl Harbor, but what does it dedicate to them? It does not seem very interested in them except as a tool for dramatic imagery. Consider, for example, a scene in which we learn that men are trapped in a sunken ship in the harbor. We learn this to emphasize the brutality of the attack, as if such emphasis were needed. Then the film forgets this point entirely, providing the fates of those men in a narrated line just before the closing credits. Why wasn't the third act of the film about those men, instead of a rushed covering of the Doolittle raid on Tokyo, complete with overblown crash landings and an improbable engagement with Japanese soldiers? If you want to see a real movie about Pearl Harbor or the Doolittle Raid, one that paints a deep and accurate picture of what it was like, one you can learn from, one that pays tribute to our veterans, or even just one that functions as convincing entertainment, there is no shortage of options. Tora! Tora! Tora! chronicles the events before, during, and after the attack from both the American and Japanese sides. Thirty Seconds Over Tokyo is as thorough a chronicle of the Doolittle Raid as is probably possible in a feature film, while also following the personal stories of a few individuals involved (any one of which is more interesting than the personal story in Pearl Harbor). The Purple Heart, one of the most heartbreaking movies I've ever seen, tells the story of Americans captured by the Japanese after the raid.Writing off the historical aspects of the film, I am left with the love triangle that makes up the entire first act and pervades the rest of it. It is wholly uninteresting. This same story has been told better, countless times before. Not one of the three characters is fleshed out into an individual: they are bland stereotypes, dolled up to look pretty and given trite lines that they recite to convey the illusion of genuine emotion. It's telling that it doesn't much matter to us how the love triangle is resolved. Unless they both die, she'll get one of them, and who cares which? Neither of the men are personable, and we surely suspect early on that her decision will be based more on fate than her own volition anyway. (In plots like this, it's survival of the survivors.) And so, alas, we are denied even the most basic of all elements of storytelling, namely, characters making actual decisions.。

《珍珠港》观后感

"Pearl Harbor" FeedbackToday's military elective courses, the teacher gave us watched the "Pearl Harbor" film about World War II, the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor, and directly forcing the United States entered the war movie. This costly movie, left me a deep impression. "Pearl Harbor" describes the December 7, 1941 after the events that changed people's fate. Two brave young pilots Rafe, Danny and pure beauty care Shiyi Eveline has not escaped the war catastrophe. Through thrilling battle scenes, the film reveals the cruelty of war, the military victory of glory and devotion boldness and courage masters of noblesentiments.Pearl Harbor during World War II, only to learn it from different angles, we can get a more comprehensive and realistic view of the Battle of Pearl Harbor, the Japanese wanted to defeat the United States in one fell swoop, but ultimately proved them wrong era, as play Yamamoto said: I'm afraid this will evoke in sleeping giant. At the time the United States always closely monitor every move of the Japanese context, four troops in Japan was exhausted, while the United States is a case of wait at Plaza, the Japanese actually be able to quickly destroy their eyes an important base for the U.S. Pacific Fleet, Pearl Harbor, and is in a few hours and the like, the U.S. military is almost no strength to fight back, can not say that this is a miracle. After carefully reading War Two, you can clearly understand, Pearl Harbor in the U.S. in an important position. Before the attack, the Japanese side has made full preparations, not only in diplomatic paralysis Americans, telegraph and other aspects still mislead the American investigation department, across the vast Pacific Ocean and its direct attacks to the United States without being discovered, described as difficult to add difficult, but they are easy to do, even on the eve of the attack, the United States are still impossible to say Japan across the Pacific, this can not be said that the U.S. military is too remiss, but can only say that Japan too bold. In the play, the Japanese attacked from their rigorous preparation again shown no doubt that their goal is clear, not only destroyed the U.S. Pacific Fleet, theinitiative to control the Pacific RimIt is also this unprecedented attack to break a world war or not the American dream.Pearl Harbor brought defeat to the American people great harm, President Roosevelt was in shock, so powerful Pacific Fleet actually vanish in just a few hours! He knows how to do next. To illustrate Nothing is impossible, when he was determined not to allow physically disabled assistant leaning, strong enough that disability with their legs and stood up! It is this action, so I deeply understand that nothing is impossible, everything is possible as long as you are willing to make their fortune, has to win the confidence, faith,in order to invincible, victorious! We can be seen from the Americans dare to face up to history, reflect on the mistakes have courage, it is worth learning. Forget the past, it means betrayal. Large as a country, a nation as small as a man, you should learn to reflect on the life and growth. Only by facing mistakes, reflect on mistakes, remember the pain, will no longer make themselves caught in the quagmire of repeat offenders repeatedly wrong; take the painful lesson to get exercise and growth; will be mistakes, mistakes, pain turned into perfect yourself, catch up power. If so, the cost of failure is that we have the courage to play strength.Of course, appreciate the brutal war, but also can feel the love of the beautifulMovie with a lot of space, elaborate rendering garrison guard Shiyi Eveline Pearl Harbor and the pilot Leif, the love triangle between Danny. This seemingly can not give freshness, but the director has handled just right, in the film, most of the battle scenes and love scenes staggered presented to the audience, allowing viewers to appreciate the brutal war, but also can feel the love of the beautiful, human warm. Rafe and Danny This is also a good friend rival swords into plowshares, alongside the children affair temporarily cast aside together for freedom, justice and the fight ...... maybe he is very important, love is very important, but and national freedom than it can temporarily give up everything, that is, you can sacrifice everything for freedom for the country, and even life! interpretation ofmilitary courage devotion. Finally Danny Ralph died in order to save the Japanese gunpoint, Ralph put Danny's body brought back, covered with American flag. By this time the mood is conceivableMifflin. The final film, Yifu Lin and Leif in the bucket to get a cute little BABY, dimly seen Danny Mo Yang, lovely ...... beautiful Pearl Harbor beautiful love story. Sharif against Little Danny said: "Danny, you fly it?" Simple and pleasant picture, but memorable, can not helpbut shed a tear."Pearl Harbor", whether civilians or soldiers, while in the case of the kind of hopelessness, the kind of piercing roar, the kind of pain twisted face, the kind of flesh and blood flying scenes, perhaps we will never also forget, and war-affected populations feelings, I think we can not understand, and I hope we never have to experience, because this is the ugly side of human nature without mercy. After Pearl Harbor, the United States to bomb the Japanese mainland voted in two, causing thousands of casualties, compared with the Nanjing Massacre, the Japanese may not deserve our sympathy, but for the people affected by the pain of war, their feelings are is the same, it is hoped that war in ourhomeland extinct, is willing to world peace。

珍珠港事件英语作文The attack on Pearl Harbor, a date which will live in infamy, was a pivotal moment in world history, marking the United States' entry into World War II. Onthe morning of December 7, 1941, the Imperial Japanese Navy launched a surprise attack on the U.S. naval base at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. The attack, intended as a preventative measure to cripple the U.S. Pacific Fleet, had profound and far-reaching consequences, shaping the course of the war and altering the geopolitical landscape for decades to come. The attack on Pearl Harbor was a meticulously planned operation, conceived as a swift and decisive blow against Americanmilitary might. The Japanese high command believed that a successful strike on Pearl Harbor would neutralize the U.S. fleet, preventing American intervention in their planned expansion across Southeast Asia. The strike force, consisting of six aircraft carriers and hundreds of fighter planes, bombers, and torpedo planes, approached Hawaii undetected and launched their assault at 7:55 a.m. local time. The attack caught the U.S. forces completely by surprise. The base was ill-prepared for such an assault, with radar systems malfunctioning and many key personnel off duty. The Japanese aircraft wreaked havoc, targeting battleships, airfields, and other vital installations. The iconic image of the USS Arizona, engulfed in flames after a direct hit to its forward magazine, became a symbol of the devastation and loss of life that day. The attack on Pearl Harbor resultedin heavy casualties. Over 2,400 Americans were killed and another 1,178 wounded. Four battleships were sunk, including the Arizona, and numerous other vessels and aircraft were destroyed or severely damaged. The attack sent shockwaves through American society, shattering the nation's sense of security and galvanizing public opinion in favor of war. The immediate aftermath of the attack was marked by a wave of outrage and disbelief. President Franklin D. Roosevelt, in his famous "Day of Infamy" speech, called upon Congress to declare war on Japan. The United States, once hesitant to be drawn into the conflict, was now fully committed to fightingin World War II. The attack on Pearl Harbor unified the American people andignited a spirit of patriotism and determination that would sustain the nation throughout the war. The significance of Pearl Harbor extends far beyond its immediate impact. The attack fundamentally altered the course of World War II,bringing the United States into the conflict as a major belligerent. The war in the Pacific became a central theater of operations, with the U.S. Navy playing a crucial role in eventually defeating Japan. The attack also had profound geopolitical consequences, marking the end of American isolationism and ushering in an era of global engagement and leadership. In the decades since the attack, Pearl Harbor has remained a powerful symbol of remembrance and reflection. The site of the attack is now a national memorial, visited by millions each year who come to pay tribute to the fallen and learn about this pivotal moment in history. The events of December 7, 1941, continue to resonate with Americans, serving as a reminder of the costs of war, the importance of vigilance, and the enduring spirit of a nation united in the face of adversity.。

Pearl Harbor: My Favorite Movie
Here I am going to recommend my favorite movie -- Pearl Harbor.
In the movie, Rafe McCawley and Danny Walker, since their childhood, are intimate friends who once learn together how to fly an airplane and work together in the farm. When the World War Ⅱ breaks out, they join the US Air Force. At that time, the USA doesn’t attend the war. Later, Rafe takes service in the British Royal Air Force as a volunteer of US Air Force while Danny is sent to the Air Force Base of the Pearl Harbor. In spite of their separation, this pair at the same time fall in love with Evelyn Johnson, a gorgeous nurse in the army hospital. At the very moment, the Pearl Harbor Incident breaks out, resulting in the US’ declares of going to war. Then the romance between them three is faced with a severe test in the war of fire and blood. To help the good friend and the beloved, Rafe determinedly takes part in the dare-to-die corps, rushing to frontline to carry on a plan of the Tokyo assault. On the other hand, Danny struggles toughly for love and belief. The fate of the three characters who love one another inseparably ties to the plangent war.
Pearl Harbor, a moving splendid epic of war and love, sees human’s antipathy to bloody war and desire for fine love. The war is capable of killing countless people whereas it is not possible to destroy love, which is a permanent theme of humanity, which is portrayed most incisively in
the movie.
In addition, this movie got me to spot that we can’t judge a person simply good or bad from a single perspective. There is a plot in the movie really shocking me. When flying to carry on the project of the Pearl Harbor attack, a Japanese solider in dare-to-die corps was appreciating a photo of his wife, tears brimming over his eyes. Jesus! This so-called demon has his love, a romantic feeling of human being. It turns out that everyone is a mixture of good and bad quality. However, the war erased his good quality yet brought his bad part to the world. Therefore, this movie also depicts a pattern of humanity in a subtle way.
The two points mentioned above are the main reasons for why it is my favorite movie and why I recommend it. It is worthy of being appreciated earnestly, which really gets us people thinking a lot.
