中国特色术语权威英译：中国梦篇中国梦Chinese Dream【例】实现中华民族伟大复兴，是近代以来中国人民最伟大的梦想，我们称之为中国梦，基本内涵是实现国家富强、民族振兴、人民幸福。

中国梦的应该如何翻译

中国梦的应该如何翻译2012年11月29日，新一届中央领导集体走进国家博物馆，参观《复兴之路》展览。

参观过程中，中共中央总书记、中央军委主席习近平发表了重要讲话，指出实现民族复兴是中华民族近代最伟大的中国梦。

一时间，“中国梦”成了媒体竞相追逐的热门词汇。

在国家语言资源监测与研究中心、商务印书馆、中国网络电视台联合主办的“汉语盘点2012”活动中，“梦”字更是荣膺2012年度国内汉字，可见“中国梦”影响之深远。

有意思的是，在对外报道中，中国梦一致英译为China dream，而不是Chinese dream。

为什么“美国梦”是American dream，而“中国梦”却另起炉灶，译成China dream呢？这得从历史上Chinese构成的短语多含贬义说起。

邵志洪的《英汉语研究与对比》（华东理工大学出版社，1997年版，第128页）中提到：英国Random House的编辑Stuart Berg Flexner指出：“第二次世界大战时，英国军队里出现了一些表达方法，用Chinese指disorganization, noise and confusion（无组织，喧嚣，混乱），比如：a Chinese attack（中国式进攻）是a noisy, badly executed attack（喧嚣、混乱的进攻）；a Chinese landing（中国式降落）是a plane crash（飞机坠毁）；the Chinese national anthem（中国国歌）是any loud explosion, especially of a bomb or shell not close enough to be taken seriously（响亮的爆炸声，尤指远离目标的炮弹或炸弹）。

为什么Chinese 会带上…混乱?、…可笑的失败?这类含义？可能是英国士兵不了解中国人，认为中国人的语言和做事方式奇怪、难以捉摸。

用Chinese Dream作“中国梦”译名的反思——汉语“中国梦”在中国是

邢台学院学报JO U R N A L O F X IN G T A I U N IV E R SIT Y第32卷第4期2017年12月摘要：“中国梦”中的“中国”意指中国，“中国”=C hina,“梦”=dream ，“中国梦”=C hina D ream 。

“中国梦”也可译为the D ream of C hina 。

现在的译文是C hinese D ream 。

而C hinese D ream 一般认为有两个意思，一是“中国人的梦”,二是“中国梦”；可是它没“中国梦”的意义。

C hinese D ream 有几个意思:一“中国人的梦”、“中国梦特色梦”、“华侨梦”或“华裔梦”。

现在的译文是Chinese Dream 。

Chinese Dream 产生歧义，普遍认为它的意思一是“中国人的梦”，意思二是“中国梦”。

可是，Chinese 的意义有“中国人”、“中国人的”、“中国的”、“中文”、“中国文化的”；现在英语译文是Chinese Dream.因此现在的译文至少可以理解为“中人的梦”、“中国梦”、“华侨梦”或“华裔梦”，其中“中文梦”根据语境可以排除。

“中国梦”的英译ChineseDream 是中国当前最大的误译。
