一、教材分析
本课是《2022-2023学年三年级英语上册同步备课(人教pep版)》第六单元的第一课时,共分为 A、B 两个部分。

本节课的教学目标是让学生学会三个单词cake、candle、and happy birthday 以及短语 blow out,同时练习听、说、读、写四个技能。

二、教学目标
1.学会三个单词 cake、candle、and happy birthday。

2.学会短语:blow out。

3.通过听力练习,提高学生的听力理解能力。

4.通过口语练习,提高学生的口语表达能力。

5.通过阅读练习,提高学生的阅读理解能力。

6.通过写作练习,提高学生的写作技能。

三、教学步骤
1. Warm-up
(1)Introduction
Good morning, boys and girls. Today is the first lesson of Unit 6, Happy Birthday! In this lesson, we’ll learn three new words: cake, candl e, and happy birthday. And we’ll learn a new phrase: blow out.
(2)Game
Let’s play a game. I’ll say a word, and you need to jump if you know the word. Let’s start.
Cake!(学生跳起来)
Candle!(学生跳起来)
Happy birthday!(学生跳起来)
Blow out!(学生跳起来)
Great job! You all did a good job in this game.
2. Presentation
(1)Show the pictures of cake, candle, and happy birthday.
(2)Teach the new words
T: What’s this? (Point to the picture of a cake)
Ss: It’s a cake.
T: Yes, it’s a cake. C-A-K-E, cake.
T: What about this? (Point to the picture of a candle)
Ss: It’s a candle.
T: Yes, it’s a candle. C-A-N-D-L-E, candle.
T: What do we say when it’s someone’s birthday?
Ss: Happy birthday.
T: That’s right. Can you spell it?
Ss: H-A-P-P-Y B-I-R-T-H-D-A-Y, happy birthday.
3. Practice
(1)Listen and point
Show three pictures of a cake, a candle, and the words “happy birthday” on the blackboard.
T: Listen and point.
(Play the recording)
T: Point to the cake.
Ss: (Point to the picture of the cake)
(Repeat with the other two pictures)
(2)Listen and draw
T: Please draw a cake on your notebook.
(Play the recording)
T: Draw a candle on the cake.
(Play the recording)
T: Draw some words on the cake.
(Play the recording)
T: Well done! You all did a good job.
4. Production
(1)Practice
T: Now, let’s practice.Please say “cake” after me.
Ss: Cake.
T: Please say “candle” after me.
Ss: Candle.
T: Please say “happy birthday” after me.
Ss: Happy birthday.
T: Now, let’s say this sentence together: She blows out the candles.
Ss: She blows out the candles.
(2)Role-play
Divide the class into groups of four. Two students will act as parents, and the other two students will act as children. They will
role-play the scene of birthday cake blowing.
5. Summary
In this class, we’ve learned three new words: cake, candle, and
ha ppy birthday. We’ve also learned the phrase “blow out”. Can you use these words and phrases to make a sentence?
6. Homework
Please draw a picture of a birthday cake on your notebook and write a sentence about the picture using the new words and phrase we’v e learned in this class.
